Vamos papu es un mimo a la cultura latina, estos tipos saben lo que es bueno!! No hay que despreciar nunca gestos así. Normalmente está el concepto de que lo de afuera es mejor que lo nuestro, y nos da la sensacion de que a los extranjeros les chupa un huevo nuestra cultura, así que cuando una banda como esta hace un cover con un ritmo latino hay que aprovechar y festejar.

Salsa is widespread in almost every latinoamerican country but iirc it's most influential artists came from Cuba.
(If you want to hear similar music you should listen to artists like Hector Lavoe btw.)
Salsa singers don't have a particular name like Mariachis or Charros afaik, maybe Space Salsero could work.

Agree with wholeheartedly about (jazz) covers. These guys and also The Consouls are great at turning the originals on their head and giving us something wonderful. The Consouls do it with VGM so if you are a VGM fan, you might like to check them out (continuing the multicultural theme, they are Australian) eg Mute City from F-Zero s completely transformed

The entire composition at the beginning took me right off my feet. Destroyed all expectations and replaced it with awe. The flow of Spanish lyrics over a salsa tune reminiscent of the original song, it works too well!
