      Thank you! I'm terrible at the lighting and production values and so on (obviously), but I do focus really hard on exactly what simple explanation gets things across to the most people! I'm glad you liked it enough to comment.

    you pick a problem which is very basic but crucial to understand and no other channel make a video on this topic everyone is teaching only about the technical things, no one is worried about the basic concept. THANKS

      There's clearly a need for videos like this. Not the entire subject or lecture, just the points that others don't cover well enough. Glad it helped. Thanks for watching!

    Thank you! It feels like curriculums do a bit of a disservice to students by starting out by portraying parallel circuits as literally parallel and then having them figure out that it's not true later.

    Hi sir i am from bangladesh which is a third world country and our teachers dont teach us efficiently and its very hard for us to understand as we dont have much resource available to us in our schools . Sir what you taught or tried to taught was amazing but i figured out that i already know what you taught , but im looking for like how to identify if like , in a circuit 3 ressistors are parralerl to each other but then again those 3 combined are in series with the other two , so like how do we know which 3 are in parallel and which 2 are in series , im not good at explaining my doubt as im not a english native speaker , im sorry for that i hope you understand .

    • @robertcruikshank4501
      @robertcruikshank4501  10 месяцев назад +1

      Good luck on your exam! One approach is to first find everything in series and combine those. After that, look for parallel combinations. Go back and forth between the two, simplifying one step at a time.

      Try this: imagine cutting the circuit every place there is a junction--a place where 3 or more wires meet. Once you have chopped the circuit up like that, any components on the same piece, are in series. Once you simplify those, any pieces that connect to each other at both ends are in parallel. Repeat until simplified. I hope that helps. Good luck!
