Thank you for this video. Phone repair shop wanted to charge me £50 said I would need a new back cover too to repair camera lens cover. Bought lens cover part on ebay for £2.47 and some B7000 adhesive phone glue for £1.98 followed your video and done in no time and saved me loads thanks 👍

Mine also just broke just like that in the exact same place and I have no idea how, did not drop or bash my phone, it was just in my bag. I think the piece of glass they use must be pretty shoddy, here's hoping the replacement is better! Thanks so much for this video

Thanks for the video. I was filming using my P30 Pro yesterday and discovered a crack on the lens. Like you I've no idea how but I was very disappointed and was waiting for a big repair bill.
I have the exact same hole in my lens cover.... And have seen a few videos with the exact same damage.... Thanks for showing how to change it... My part just arrived today so going to have a go now 😊😊
Hi. I have had the repair now for a good few months through the winter and have had no issue with water ingress or even moisture build up on the inside of the lense. It has been a great fix so far.
Hi. I am not sure what you mean exactly with your question. If you mean what did i cover the lens with while i was waiting for parts. I used a strip of electrical insulation tape over the whole camera assembly and then the phone case helped to hold it down while parts arrived. Hope this helps.

Hi, I was the same. My phone was in my pocket on its own with a flip case. Pulled it out and seen the damage. Somethi g must have pressed against it causing the puncture. No idea what though.

Kudos to Huawei too They did a good job designing this to be so easily to fix. Unlike that other bitten off fruit company designers.

done this 3 times now, as each time dust entered the camera, final time I used glue too, no problems with dust anymore.
I have same problem. My top camera has hole😅. I order glass from amazon but twice I got wrong glass

This repair is of poor quality, dust will soon enter the camera, even water when sprayed. The glass must be sealed with an adhesive!
The camera glass is not well maded it easily broke also the power off button too
Even as a female with no technical skills, I managed this 😂
