Worth noting that there are far more than 41 P-51s currently operational in the U.S. Many have been rebuilt, so they show up on the FAA registry with a manufacturer other than 'North American.' Current estimates say that there are about 172 P-51s flying worldwide, including 137 in the U.S.

Personally, I'm not in that crowd. My favorite WWII plane is the P-38 Lightning.

Oh, lovely, finally some warbird legends! 😎 Please keep continue this series with other legends, like P-38, P-39, P-40, P-47, F4F, F6F, F4U just name the Americans. Although, the most fun - and close to death experience - would be the I-16 (Polikarpov).😍
If I could own a warbird it would be a P-40 or a Hellcat

The long awaited Mustang video! Thanks for another excellent vid. Somehow 25 P-51D’s flying in the US seems both like a lot and very few at the same time.
Could you do a Columban Cri-Cri? Are they as cheap as they look? Is their rate of climb greater than 10fpm?
There are also Mustang variants that look similar to but aren’t technically P-51Ds so there is a majority of airworthy mustangs with the iconic bubble canopy.

May I recommend the Viper Aircraft ViperJet? Your decision if you want to make it, but I think it's a fun Albatros-like jet that's not as big, not as expensive and kit-built.

If i have musk or bezoz money i would buy a p-51 just to gawk at right next to a dehavilan mosquito and a catalina flying boat what a plane and imo the p51 has the most awesome paint jobs of the war look at all those different liveries
