These look awesome Rich, congratulations to all at Tyler for creating this stunning series of guitars. Looking forward to hearing them and finding out more about their spec and price. Best regards from the UK.
Thanks for your reply that’s really helpful and good to know. Personally, I would only be interested in a Chinese built JTG if they come with the switching, midboost, and series/parallel options available on the USA and Japanese built models.
@@SessionGold Something in my mind wanted to ask the question, will there be a U.S. import line. I'm so pumped for this. Got to have the black sparkle oh and the Jim burst....
Not really. It has the midboost but not the Demeter one. The JTG will have a Chinese "clone" midboost. As it looks for now they won't have the series/parallel buttons or toggles. Also different pickups but they are voiced to something like the JTO's (would be my guess)
@@steviesynapse I can't trace the specific message back where Rich talked about this. But I think he said that they're thinking about loaded pickguards with the series/parallel switching etc., but nothing about if there will be models with all the bells and whistles build in from factory...
I love my Tyler guitar so much it's beyond description, It's exciting to see these models come out. Hopefully more people can acquire some of the Tyler magic.
I heard somewhere else that someone had tried this new guitars and he said it was super well made, and except that the paint is not that luxurious, he can hardly feel any difference from the American one.
How do the new Trump tariffs on China impact the prices? From a business perspective, can you make a decent profit margin on these if you get slapped with tariffs?
@jaycareaga9929 I understand that, and I own an excellent Japanese built Tyler; in addition to three US models. Maybe I should have asked: Why wouldn't Tyler Japan models get the official RUclips advertisement/nod before China?
@@rogerdat7807 Um they are already established? They only do the high end stuff. This is a new line all together made in China...ie cheaper...nothing from Japan is cheap lol.
An alpha unit is the first unit you get where they build it according to what you want, and you get a chance to check them out and make corrections, and then you get the beta units or you make last minute corrections, and then you go into production.

Hopefully these will be in a range more people can afford because my James Tyler instrument is really something special.
About 1,700 US dollars
Excited!! These look sick!!
props to the people who hands on work on these.
Impressive… most impressive
This is the most incredible thing I think I have seen. AMAZING.
Now I know what Rich was teasing in your interview!!!

Nice, maybe finally i can buy one Tyler in my life 😊
WHOA... Rich, I need to know more :-)
Has the yellow one the same electronics as the Dann Huff model?
Yeah, keen to know this as well!

Absolutely stunning! The attention to detail is amazing
Any plans for a hss Floyd model at some point? 😉
A Floyd would be good

yeah I"m curious too, I'm assuming it'll be built into the price.
Wish you would have put the JTG logo where the made in USA logo goes.
Just like everything else, folks
How so?
which factory in China?
All the " Us is best only best " morons in these comments outing themselves is phenomal lol
Is this setup in US?
Seems pretty cool.
Looks promising
I would love to have one of these, the wood doesn't know where it's being made, it's the craftsmanship that counts.
How much will these go for?
Roughly 1800 dollars
@SessionGold That's actually really good. I've wanted one of these, but they're waaay out of my budget. 1800 is definetly achievable!
@@olssong7941 Totally with you man!
Chinese made Gibson called Epiphone... At least. But Jackson aren't.
I rather buy a James Tyler Japan.
Hi Rick. Cooll stuff man. Quick question are these guitars going to be distributed through the dealers you use for your USA guitars?
What about Japan?
There’s already Tyler Japan.
@@jaycareaga9929yep. There are some on Reverb right now.

@ Because this is an entirely new line of non custom guitars.
Japan basically builds the same guitars as the US.
Who in china is making these? Someone like shijie i would assume?
I want one please!
exciting just hoping they aren't $2,000 plus
Roughly 1800 dollars
@@SessionGold I will buy one no doubt
Price?
About 1,700 US dollars
@@shawn-t9d Thanks
Gonna be expensive after those tariffs kick in…
You have got to be kidding?!!
Didnt James Tyler pass away?
Yes. Sadly in August. We've been working on them for a couple of years. Jim was part of the decision making.
interesting
"What the hell is a beta unit?"
Ever hear of beta testing? There you go
In order of replease products they use the Greek alphabet, the first run is Alpha, second run is Beta, etc.
