Amazing video ! What I do for separating the text is directly duplicate them and create a rectangular mask on each word i think it's a lot more faster and precise than re writing the text and try to place it on the right spot but thanksss for the tips in the vids just got a new sub !

Love that you're addressing this! Apple truly nail their typography, and there's definitely a lack of workflow videos for this type of animation. Just wondering, why didn't you use any text animators? This way, the "just like apple does" slide animation could be achieved on just a single layer, using only 2 keyframes on the range selectors offset (-100 --> 100), based on words, shape set to ramp up, and adjusting the position property. Same with the "and works great" part. You could use text animators for each word, separate them using range selectors, then keyframe the position properties. Same result, less comp clutter, and more flexibility to change the text later on. Nonetheless, thanks for the wonderful insight!
Thanks for the view and comment :) In the tutorials I make I only use my own knowledge and how I learned AE, all from RUclips channels and figuring it out myself. I always did it like this and never worked with the range selector. So thanks for pointing that out! :) I will definitely figure that out and try to work with it because it sounds really nice haha. Thanks Julian! :)
@@CampKeyframetutorials My pleasure! And I totally understand. Guess that's the beauty of AE - you can get results in many different ways. For me personally, I'm just obsessed with one-layer-solutions haha. It can backfire though when researching a scientific approach takes longer than using what's already there lol, so I appreciate your process. But once figured, hours upon hours can be saved. I deffo recommend you look into it :) Once tamed, the text animator is a beauty of a beast.
Just found your channel - love the content so far. I can see that you use a lot of shortcuts in After Effects. Could you show the shortcuts you're pressing in the videos? Maybe there's some software for that - I've seen it in a lot of other tutorial videos. Much appreciated. Oh - and deffinately downloading the Flow Plugin now.
Hi, nice video. I got a question may you can answer 🙏 It is a way to take from a text every word and do it like you did at the beginning of the video? instead of writting manually every single one? for example: you look fantastic - by your trick you have to write 3 word, but if you do it from a single text you will need to do it in one time ( i am not englsih speaker it is why i explain thing like that eheh) could be a way?
I had the same problem. It's probably a bit late for you but for anyone else wondering: the video "How to fix No Keyframe Handles shown in Value Graph editor in After Effect cc by HarshVardhan" explained it. Basically you need to switch from value graph to speed graph. The options for that are at the bottom in the middle right next to the eye icon (looks like a list icon)
This is by far the best tutorial I've watch about this animation style, thank you so much!!
Really great tutorial! I like Apple‘s text animations, and understanding how this works is really nice. Thank you!
