    i liked that you put high quality last as its arguably a nonfactor. if your song is good, quality can take a backseat

  • @clayxaviermusic
    @clayxaviermusic 6 месяцев назад +3

    I think for anyone that disagrees with number 8, even shitty mixed punk and lofi and jungle has a vibe that in and of itself becomes high quality. Of course what is high quality is subjective and genre specific but even in genres that sound great “lofi” there’s a standard of what sounds good

    I think the best way to get your own sound is just to record yours

  • @DJ-XTRM
    @DJ-XTRM 6 месяцев назад

    It does largely depend on genre... Minimal and Ambient Techno have a case for less intense environmental confusion to the sound, minimising a focus on overly sampling, to maximising emotion with simple pattern's.
    There are still a great many who have a preferred choice of oldskool type sounds and beat's, simplified... Hip-hop is a classic example... Industrial is another... Gabber and Rock/Alternative being more.
    Just a thought and a chime in 😁😂☄️👽
    I subbed...

  • @Mossbotmusic
    @Mossbotmusic 6 месяцев назад +2

    1. you literally dont know what swing is lol
    2. complicated melodies wont be better or more catchy, in fact, the more complicated a melody gets the less accessible its going to be to your average listener, i love complicated melodies but if you're trying to write commercial music you absolutely are going to need to go for simpler melodies.

    Is anybody else tired of misleading headlines?
    1. Are any of these examples actual "songs"?
    No. Adding sampled words or phrases is not poetic. These are electronic compositions. Not songs. If you don't know the definition of a "song", you can't possibly know how to make them professional. Maybe consider a better title headline for the video.
    Actual answer:
    Start by writing an actual song first.
    2. "Does it have a personality?"
    "How can I add it?"
    If everybody adds a computer generated "bang" then it has no sense of individuslism since everybody is doing it. Not to mention, there is no "person" adding personality. Sure, you can add your own flare to an electronic composition, but then you don't need this video telling you what to consider.
    Actual Answer:
    Add real humans playing instruments. Otherwise
    * To be clear, there's nothing wrong with electronic compositions. As a songwriter, I watched this video because of the misleading headline. Therefore, I seek to correct the record. Nothing in this video relates to professional songs. Dynamics, EQ, and other effects are obvious. The best part about this video is regarding the incorporation of related elements or sounds, to portray the mood or imagery in your.... Electronic Composition.
