Even a "simple" Q&A turns out deep, insightful and inspiring with you. We need more of this quality on RUclips! And yes, it would be great to try a live one next time :-)
I agree! I’m getting very frustrated on RUclips with vloggers who just talk all day, but don’t actually SAY or teach anything. I think Justine is a perfect balance of informed content in a relatable way
Stick to this format, Justine. If I'm not able to be at the live event, I'll feel as if I missed out (even though I'll be able to see a rerun). Enjoyed this video, as always.
I love Justine. She speaks beautifully with a lovely soft accent, she dosent use annoying sound effects or tell stupid jokes, she is just good to listen to, which makes her message sink in. So many you tubers try to hard, distracting you with dumb jokes and crass visuals or have high squeaky voices that are painfully hard the on the ears. Justine gets it right effortlessly.
I discovered your channel about a week ago and I watched soo many videos since! I love the way you talk about fashion and body types. Your tips are great, at least for me :) Keep up the great work!
I prefer this format. A "live" Q&A has a tendency to get chaotic because you are being inundated with questions all at the same time. And trying to fit it into my already busy schedule probably means I'll miss it. I love your videos and I'd hate to miss one. Thank you for your inspiration and willingness to share your knowledge.
It's so refreshing to see someone like Justine. She really shows things in depth, considering the style, quality, price and the impact our choices can have in the industry. If someone thinks fashion is vain, they definitely should check her channel.
Thanks Justine. I like your videos and format. You have deep knowledge of designing. You take the ethics in consideration. And l get joy and a happy feeling when watching your videos.
I prefer this format to live, because for some questions it's nice to get prepared and quality answers instead of just the first thing that comes to your mind. It is also short and more to the point. Ps. You can also do live to get experience and then do a shorter version of it with maybe some additional info. Haven't seen anybody do that before.
My favourite at home alteration is buttons: if you have a very boring piece you can thrift some fun or interesting buttons and change the look of the garment! Did this with an H&M jumpsuit to make it look more unique.
Hallo Justine. I subscribed a couple of months ago to your channel and have been watching your videos regularly ever since. Normally I don't really comment, but last week I bingewatched a lot of your older videos that I hadn't had the time to see yet. And I learned so much. I want to thank you for that and for making very informative videos and always talking so kindly and nuanced. Nowadays there are so many persons who are (sometimes quite literally) shouting there opinions everywhere. You do quite the opposite and I like that. So merci, for making such great content and giving me so much inspiration. I always liked to sew, but thanks to you I have now some more confidence to start researching my designing abilities ;) So far I'm liking it a lot. Thank you!
Thank you for your candor. I am not a fan of live stream videos. Generally they seem disjointed and awkward to me. That said, I am certain you could pull off a live stream video with grace and style. Enjoy the rest of summer.
Always love your presentations. You are a joy to watch, and the quality of the content is unrivaled. I prefer this format to a live feed. Best to you, Justine.
You can try once with live video and see how it goes, if you catch enough viewers. I would try it. ❤ Sundays, like now, maybe are the best to fit for the majority of people. I have two small kids and when they sleep at lunch, is my relax time. I'm in denmark, i guess we are in the same timezone. Or an hour difference, not big deal. The timezone counts also.
Thank you for your answer! You really have a great point of view in fashion and life really. I really thought it was only me who see everyone looking the same on social media. Thanks again!
Would love to see you LIVE...your channel; what you have to say; the value you bring to the world is SOOO important and so enlightening to all of us....BIG HUGS....love all your videos...
Thank you for this informative video....I like this format, not a fan of live chats. You have a lot of knowledge on fashion and design and look forward to learning more tips of the trade.
When describing yourself, Justine, I am not surprised that the first thing you described is "curiosity". Curiosity is another word for intelligent, analytical, open-minded. It is your curiosity that continues to open the doors to more knowledge, to more fun, to life and everything it can offer you. Keep your curiosity open and continue to fill yourself so that you happily share what you know with the rest of us. Thank you for sharing this video and may I also say that you shade of lipstick in this video is quite beautiful.
Hey Justine! I love these videos bc we get to know you more and more. I would love know to hear your thoughts on the quality and everything of ‘luxury’ brands like Gucci,LV,Chanel,Fendi etc. What do you think about their prices and are they worth it or not? Maybe a little history about these brands as to WHY are those brands so costly? What’s so special about them? xx
Seeme Seeyou Great questions... I personally think because of companies coming and going selling and being bought by investment groups just using the designers name for the most part have really fallen short on quality. Example; St. John and Escada. Designer’s companies such as these have been sold back and forth replacing the “original” designer. Even Louis Vuitton has “cheapen” the quality of their canvas bags.. unfortunately most consumers don’t even realize it. They are content with carrying the name... forget about the quality. The industry still racks in the millions because most people are willing to pay for a name.
thanks for your work! I found you back in January- as we were far away from home in our van! I watched you as you share the same name as my daughter, and I thought you were a lovely lady- as you still have such a pleasant way of explaining! Well done, and thank you for your work! Marietta, in Brisbane Australia
I just remembered the video about I think online hate and body positivity in which you said that a lot of people point out that you have strangely small teeth and so on and I just have to say: I love your smile and your teeth! It's such a unique and honest smile and it always makes my day better when I watch a new video of yours and you smile in the beginning! It might look strange at first since it's unusual but I think it makes your smile so freaking incredible! Just wanted to finally say that after months and maybe years of thinking that every single time you upload a new video :)
This video was so much fun ! To answer your question, I'm not a fan of livestreams. I wanted to suggest an idea. On almost all your videos I take the time to read other viewers comments and I feel like this "community" is filled with such interesting people. Would it be possible from time to time to ask us something about ourselves so we can share it in the comments section (like with Creative Highlights). I know that I would be curious to discover where other viewers live, what is their profession, their favourite books, etc. An interactive way to share our knowledge and expertise with one another. I don't know, maybe it's just wishful thinking. Thank you Justine.
'Live' sounds like fun. Although I would probably have to get up in the middle of the night to watch :) As someone who works a lot with voice, communication and entrepreneurship I really appreciated the connection you drew between confidence and preparation. So many people think of confidence as something you have or don't, like it's magic. But it is something that can be nurtured if you put in the work. Thank you for your beautiful presence and useful content.
Hi Justine, great video, thanks! I love the way you organize things while presenting the topics you picked to cover, which is definitely part of your charm to me :) Having said that, I'd love to see how a live Q&A would look like. I would much appreciate if you could give it a try!
Wonderful Justine! Thanks for answering all of this! A live stream video is a great idea, indeed, maybe if there are too many viewers, the video could lag for some people (depending on their internet connection), but we could try! :) you take care too xx
Thank you for answering the fashion school ques.. that is exactly what im doing as i cannot go back to the conventional degree course. Instead i am curating my skill-learning through short courses (pattern drafting, fashion illustration etc). This still allows me to work n earn money. 😃 Your answer validates my feeling that i am doing the right thing for me..
I would like to see a 1/2 and 1/2 video, have some questions to answer in the beginning of your live stream and then take some live questions. I do really appreciate your channel. You make things so easy to follow and understand. I don’t feel like you are talking down to me, but sharing and educating me. Merci.
I always get something out of your videos. Always. Thank you for putting out such thoughtful and wonderful content. I cant be the only one mesmerized by your eyes...i feel like i have my good friend talking to me that i havent seen in a while and i just dont want the visit to end. ;)
I really like your answers. Your smile is adorable and uplifting. When you laugh Its very cute.very nice qualities .great teaching.you have broadened my education in fashion so much. Thanks Justine
Hi Justine, I totally agree on your views on fast fashion. I’ve always been someone who is into brand heritage, craftmanship and history. Just wondering what are your thoughts? I do not want to sound like a snob but I do find that very limited brands caters to different shapes and specific lifestyle better and very often these are luxury designer pieces that either have a wider range of sizing options that uses European sizing instead of S,M or L. Designer boutiques also offer in-store alterations for proper fitting. Of course, most of us do not have pockets that deep that can afford to pay thousands for a piece of clothing every season. What I do is I will stalk pieces that I love and wait till sales comes, I almost never buy anything full priced or will just do vintage second hand clothing hunting for classic pieces. I find that it’s almost quite impossible to look elegant with good taste without designer pieces, especially in Asia. We do not have that many highly trained independent designers and even with good designs and material, finding highly trained seamstress with great sewing technique and high tech equipment is very difficult or too costly for many new designers. So even if u find someone great, the price usually isn’t very far from getting something from the designer boutiques. That is why most of my fashion graduated friends even from TOP fashion institutes prefers to work for the big luxury conglomerates. That is why I can understand why fast fashion strive in Asia. Not many options are available. Just to give you an example, French Brands like Sandro and Maje cost 1.5 times more than Europe here, and these are not even considered high quality Brands in France, how would an ordinary person with income/ currency rate much lower than countries like you guys afford even those decent mid range brands. Hence, To convince most Asians on the issues of ethnicity and environmentalism without better alternatives is a long and difficult battle. That’s why I always say to my friends, People can try to copy an elegant look they want by using fast fashion or even mid priced Brands but on closer inspection, the quality, fabric and material used are dead giveaways. By saying that, doing lots of research, being patient to wait for the sales period and shopping around with a good sense of taste, I think people can afford to look elegant much easier than the actual perceived price of those items.
I Iove you already and I only discovered your channel a couple of months ago.... I was only looking for a "how to choose glasses video" and there you were. I admire your clarity of thinking and your honesty. You come across as a very genuine person. You are my fab you tube blogger and can't wait for Sundays 🙂. All the best Justine, a hard working lady like yourself deserves it xxx
I've had the same revelation!! Everyone looks the same now. I'm mainly talking about mens fashion and what you see when you look up men fashion. Theres a huge difference when you look up men street fashion vs women street fashion. This is my main focus that I want to change with my new brand I'm going to start. That's also why I love this channel. Theres so much to carry over from the womens fashion to the mens that no brand is doing. I hate how basic and simple mens fashion is looking lately. No loud colors, no pop, no standing out, no one going the extra mile. Ugh it's frustrating! I'm not even buying any clothes from any brand right now. I'd rather design and wear my own clothes
Great video. About the livestream it would be great!! But for us in America (the continent 🙄) might be a little hard because of the time zone unless you do it really late so here is not that early 😂 like this video was uploaded about three hours ago and in Mexico it was 5 am. Maybe we could send some questions in here or Instagram with a hashtag a few days earlier in case we can't be around for the livestream so you can read them and watch the video later
I’m a fan of all the videos you make, I know it takes a lot of preparation. I’ve learn so much since about 6 months ago. It seems like I now have knowledge of a Lifetime!
100% agree with the epilation part. omg it's a game changer when it comes to armpits and legs. armpits take literally 1 min to do. legs sadly take longer (anywhere between 10 - 25 mins depending on how thorough you are, how much growth you have, the natural coarseness of your hair and the quality of the machine you're using). but it's so much better overall. the only place where i use a razor is the private area bc the machine is too hard on the delicate skin there. oh and the best part is you only have to do it once a week, unlike shaving which, depending on the area, is a daily or once every two day type of business.
Thank you, again, Justine. I just love your channel! You are educating us in terms of understanding fashion styles, tailoring and quality, our power as a costumer, and our confidence as a spirit inhabiting a body, and how to express ourselves. Also, you seem a very kind a lovely person, just loving when you say Hi, It's Justin (and then smile). Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and views. Hope to see you reaching all your goals, you deserve it!
Great answer!!!!! "go naked and see if others think you are more altruistic." Thank you for your honesty and truth (two very different things!) "Moral indignation is jealousy with a halo." H.G.Wells LOVE your channel. I have learned so much. XOXO
I find women who prefer suffering (aka waxing) fascinating. I mean, I understand there are additional benefits, in that the waxing keeps the hair away longer and weakens the follicles over time, but shaving has also been dealt a bad hand through myths like "the hair grows back stronger". The hair doesn't grow back stronger, it appears to, because you're essentially cutting it off at it's thickest point, at the root, so it grows to be that thick root to tip, instead of having to grow "from scratch" with a tapered end. Also, waxing pulls off surface skin cells just like shaving, only through a different mechanism. If that's what you're looking to avoid, the electric hair remover is pretty much the only option. And now I can't believe how many thoughts I have on hair removal, wow
Ps I love your videos. You have so much to teach and I have so much too learn from you. I know you dont do mens fashion but I know that means fashion has alot to learn from how womens fashion operates. I'm starting a brand soon and your channel gives me alot to think about on how to creating new things and approach things from a consumers and manufactures point of view. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you so much Justine for taking the time to answermy question I was so surpised to find that you chose to name the video by it as well. WoW! I feel lucky😆😆 I enjoy your content so much and make a point of watching almost every video of yours I find, I think that I share your quality of curiosity and your crave for learning and that's what I love the best in your videos so full of useful and unique information. Wish you all the best😘
Justine, I really enjoy your videos. So professional, business like, practical, while remaining light hearted. I like workmanship and craftsmanship. Different terms but related. You always have superb presentation. I have never been interested in clothes beyond looking professional at work and being practical working on the farm. Rarely look at fashion magazines, don't follow celebrities. I love old movies made before 1960. .I like good textiles and recognize good taste, good sewing technique and like to learn more about fabric and technique. You are a good teacher. Your last statement about self-confidence is so IMPORTANT. It's about observation, self awareness, cooperation, and contribution to the goal. Whether a solo effort or a group effort, the work ethic is the same. You stated the essentials perfectly. Thank you!
Merci, Justine! Your selection of questions is interesting (& brave: that personal question!), & your answers are precise, polite, & generous, as is your way. Doing a live stream could be big fun, & kudos to you for trying it out. I hope I can participate live, but in Los Angeles it may happen when I’m fast asleep.
Your channel has been extremely helpful for me to reconnect with the aspects of fashion that I really find important: self expression and creativity. I've also been working on finding my style again, and decluttering mayor time. Thanks!
I like this more formal format! Live formats are sometimes redundant because some one didn’t hear the answer or tuned in late. I like live in an auditorium, but on line it is messy!
Really enjoyed this video, I always like this format! :) I'm glad to hear you're working on more reviews of particular brands - I really liked the ASOS video because it was helpful to watch you walk through evaluating the garments. I felt like I learned a lot about recognizing quality from watching you. I always learn so much from you, and you've really changed the way I think about ethical clothing choices. :)
Good evening Justine, your videos are never too long for me. I have already learned a lot from you and always look forward to the next video. many greetings from Belgium xx
Hi Justine, So sorry so long. I like the format as is. The current format allows you to think about your response and formulate a thoughtful answer. I know that I have learned so much from the Q&As. As for confidence, your experience and previous education in business has assisted you in "how to" be confident in business meetings. In nursing school and esthetician training, I did not learn how to network or become an entrepreneur. I was fortunate to have mentors and a couple of books. The first one which was given to me by my mentor, Facilitation at Glance Your Pocket Guide to Facilitation by Ingrid Bens, M.Ed. It is a very small spiral bound book that discusses: "What is facilitation?"; "Knowing your participants."; conflict management; creating participation and more. The second book is Facilitating the Project Lifecycle Skills & Tools to Accelerate Progress for Project Managers, Facilitators, and Six Sigma Project Teams by Jan Means and Tammy Adams. This book assisted me with my new role from Registered Nurse to Project Manager. Talks about communication, preparation and defining scope. I hope this helps the community on developing confidence in business. On beauty secrets, unfortunately young girls in America do not learn from their mothers on how to take of their skin. We are given so much advice from media and advertisements. Plus, we think that there is a "magic product" that will solve everything. As an esthetician, I am always teaching my clients on diet and lifestyle changes. A book that I have reference to my clients is Howard Murad's The Water Secret. This book states that if you eat water rich foods like fresh fruit and vegetables, our cells will state hydrated. Plus, always exercise, manage stress, and self care. Thank you for such information packed videos that are inspirational and assisted me to determine my current life path. Kathy
As always, I really enjoy your videos. Just as you described yourself, your videos are precise and you get to the point, with your personality still shining through. =)
Great video! Loved it! The concept of ethical fashion seems not only to have intrigued me but also my mother! We were actually shopping and my mother noticed me and said that this is the first time she has seen me not so interested in hopping for clothes. I told her that how i learned about recognizing good quality of clothes and ethical fashion etc from my Guru (Master) She told me to say to you that she thanks you all the way from India for teaching her daughter about so many things! Thank you for being a part of our life and my life as well. I too feel not only empowered as customer but also as a person
Hi Justine! I prefer the edited version of Q&As myself. I never end up watching the whole livestream, just because they're usually so much longer. Thanks. :)
Great video! Thoughtful answers! Live would be very interesting so why not give it a try! Been trying to catch up on all the other videos you've made and having a grand time in doing so! See you next week!
Thanks for your q&a video! I think a livestream would be too disorganized. I would much prefer a prepared video where you can pick good questions and provide a complete and concrete answer to each one.
Every Q&A I keep thinking "You are the kind of person I'd love to have tea with!" Your honesty is so endearing :)
I'd love to have tea with you! 😁
I really appreciate you taking the time to answer questions so thoroughly. Personally I prefer a format like this one over a live stream.
I agree 100%.
I agree too. As an importance of preparation goes, like you've just said at the end of this one, Justine :-). And thank you!
Same for me. I appreciate the preparation you put into this :) Great work!
Even a "simple" Q&A turns out deep, insightful and inspiring with you. We need more of this quality on RUclips! And yes, it would be great to try a live one next time :-)

Sarah S. I did the same when I found this channel
Me too !
Me too. Lots of information to think about.
I prefer this format. A "live" Q&A has a tendency to get chaotic because you are being inundated with questions all at the same time. Great video! I prefer this format as may not be available for a live stream and miss the video/content
You can usually watch a "taped" replay of the live stream. THat's what I'll probably do.
I prefer this format to live, because for some questions it's nice to get prepared and quality answers instead of just the first thing that comes to your mind. It is also short and more to the point. Thanks for the book recommendation

Always love your presentations. You are a joy to watch, and the quality of the content is unrivaled. I prefer this format to a live feed. Best to you, Justine.
I always enjoy your Q&A. It's a really good way to impart wisdom and inspire. I look forward to either a livestream or a normal Q&A video like this.
You can try once with live video and see how it goes, if you catch enough viewers. I would try it. ❤

I would love to see you test ethical brands like Everlane. I love their transparency but wonder about clothing cut and quality. Thanks! ❤️
Me too. It is so hard now and I am not on instagram or twitter to do the #whomademyclothe(sp?)
I love and appreciate how genuine you are, and have a very uplifting and positive perspective on any topic that is presented to you.
Decide what you are doing there before you go! Brilliant. Thank you so much for your videos. Lots of loving appreciation for you.
Your answers are always so well thought out and explained. Another great video.
A live format would be really cool! Great questions and equally great answers.

I enjoyed the whole video because I find the way you exude confidence to be very inspiring. Thank you!!
Your smile is just the sweetest thing, you are so lovely Justine. As usual very interesting video
I really love hearing your perspective on everything! Great video.
Merci, Justine! I love your videos and your sincere, simple and free from pretence attitude. xx
Yes please, Justine! We would love to see you going live and do the discussion. It will be of great fun !
Definitely a livestream is a good idea they're very popular at the moment and probably a trend that's here to stay.
I loved your words that describe you! Great words. I always enjoy your videos and learn something more from watching. Such valuable content.
So funny that I was just rewatching all of your q and a’s. Love your videos!!

I love watching your videos. Thank you so much for taking the time to make such awesome informative content.
This format is more enjoyable than a live Q & A as the chaos factor in a live Q & A is distracting Imo. Thanks for answering the questions.
I really like your answers. Your smile is adorable and uplifting. When you laugh
Its very cute.very nice qualities .great teaching.you have broadened my education in fashion so much. Thanks Justine
A live stream for a Q&A sounds like a really fun idea! Your videos are always very informative and you come across as such a lovely kind person! 😊
You are amazing! Thank you for your videos and positivity!
Always Thumbs up, Justine!! 🧡🧡🧡And yes, a live stream would be fun!
Great job :) I love that you are not afraid of talking about money and paychecks and reality of us, designer. Love You!
Thanks Justine. As always very informative. I think live stream would be fun.
This was incredibly fascinating. Thank you, Justine!
I can't help but always smile when watching your videos. You're such a lovely person, thanks for making these videos! - huge fan xo
Thank you!!
love your content, you research and answer honestly and in depth, highly appreciate your efforts! love from hong kong :)
Fantastic video as always!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankyou for all your hard work✨🙏🏻
Thank you, again, Justine.
"go naked and see if others think you are more altruistic."
Thank you for your honesty and truth (two very different things!)

LOVE your channel.
Thanks, Justine! I would like the live chat. Have a good week.
You always have so much information. Thank you!
Thank you so much Justine for taking the time to answermy question I was so surpised to find that you chose to name the video by it as well. WoW! I feel lucky😆😆
I enjoy your content so much and make a point of watching almost every video of yours I find, I think that I share your quality of curiosity and your crave for learning and that's what I love the best in your videos so full of useful and unique information.
Thank you!
Akarpowicz, you stated the essentials very nicely too !
As always, such an intelligent, interesting video. I love your channel.
I have learned so much from you. Thank youYou are a good teacher.
Your channel has been extremely helpful for me to reconnect with the aspects of fashion that I really find important: self expression and creativity. I've also been working on finding my style again, and decluttering mayor time. Thanks!
Thank you again Justine for a wonderful video. I was in holidays in Tanzania and I had no access to Internet, so I missed you😊
I like this more formal format! Live formats are sometimes redundant because some one didn’t hear the answer or tuned in late. I like live in an auditorium, but on line it is messy!
Really enjoyed this video, I always like this format! :)
I'm glad to hear you're working on more reviews of particular brands - I really liked the ASOS video because it was helpful to watch you walk through evaluating the garments. I felt like I learned a lot about recognizing quality from watching you. I always learn so much from you, and you've really changed the way I think about ethical clothing choices. :)
Thanks!!
Thank you Justine! You are very inspiring, love your videos!
I love the color palette of lips camisole and nails! Your taste is stunning and so are you!
Good evening Justine, your videos are never too long for me. I have already learned a lot from you and always look forward to the next video. many greetings from Belgium xx
Thank you!
Great video. Patiently waiting for your hair trends 2019 video !
Kathy
Thanks for sharing all these tips with everyone!!
You are insightful with your questions. The next q&a going live would be great.
Hi Justine! I prefer the edited version of Q&As myself. I never end up watching the whole livestream, just because they're usually so much longer. Thanks. :)
I would LOVE a live stream! :) Got to get to work on that list of questions!... lol
Great video! Thoughtful answers! Live would be very interesting so why not give it a try! Been trying to catch up on all the other videos you've made and having a grand time in doing so! See you next week!
Thanks for doing what you do! I've learned SO much from your videos and love you & your sense of humor❤
This is a great segment. Very educational
Thank you, Justine. I really enjoyed your answers.
How about a video on gold and silver jewelry and how to determine which one looks best for your skin tone?
You and your channel is so fascinating. I always learn something!!! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for your q&a video! I think a livestream would be too disorganized. I would much prefer a prepared video where you can pick good questions and provide a complete and concrete answer to each one.
