To all those stating it’s an unfair comparision…dude, these two are selling for almost same price brackets so yes this comparision does make a lot of sense….it’s time people realise lower end snaps are not as great as their mtk counterparts even though there’s no competing with the top ends……
But there is, mediatek dimensity 9200 is only 10% behind snapdragon 8gen2
it's simple really, lower end snap has decent cpu cores but extremely weak gpu. they suck for gaming.
while mediatek G series has decent cpu but very strong gpu for the price. in simpler term, g99 is designed for gaming while sd680 is for efficiency.
both are in 6nm process node, but g99 is more power hungry as it is the more powerful chip.
I hate my snapdragon 695 so suck at photography almost alaws error at exporting, cant handle 2k and weak gpu even its expensive 😢😢😢 toooooo overprice

dimensity and g series are game changers for mediatek
Both are 6nm chips but I prefer Mediatek Helio G99 because of the latest gaming features added in the chips. Nice comparison though and good competition.

lol good competition? Mediatek is years behind in mid-range low-end chips. they compared Snapdragon from 2021 to their newest G99 which was in 2022. G99 barely beats Snapdragon 695 so they compared it to 680. and there is already 6 Gen 1, Mediatek is done lol.

Infinix zero 20, tecno pova 5,tecno camon 20 pro 4g, samsung a24, infinix note 30 all of them use g99 and its way cooler than my 8 and 8i.
Im not saying all mediatek overheat but if you said that g95 solve the heating issue you should check it again and its not myth.
Oh i also use vivo v27 5g using dimensity 7200 and its cool and it has insane power efficiency im not bashing mediatek im stating the truth based on my usage, and some of my friends usage sorry but g95 is far from cool or efficient.

@@Smzxesnapdragon chips sucks at photography, no doubt that the 720 is a good performer but it ends there. Low end mediatek chips have better image processing though, no wonder why the snapdragon 400 series has exited this segment a long time ago. I have a oppo a53 running on a SD 460 and besides having decent performance, photography is shit.
No wonder why Huawei phones are garbage these days, they're not only 4g but their photography capabilities ls left to be desired

Helio G99 and SD 732G are on par with each other from my antutu test both scores similarly on 400k mark although 732G is much more optimize on games such as CODM and genshin from personal experience on POCO X3 NFC and Redmi Pad
732g antutu is 395k while g99 ultimate has 430k antutu

I have a request to MediaTek to use latest Architecture and higher clock speed to provide more performance and increase the gaming performance of all the MediaTek chipsets.
It will result in thermal throttling like some other brands but if the smartphone manafacturer like POCO has cooling systems. Some other phones like tecno has overclocked the clock speed of the MediaTek processor
These are good, but I'm super excited about the Helio G100! Heard it's an innovative chipset with features like the UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X RAM.

It's not fair actually mediatek helio G99 it is not fair fight with sd680 but with sd732g, but still the downside mediatek is always the worse taking photography the isp still lose by isp from snapdragon i was try compare between mediatek g95 from Redmi note 10s bring 64mp and the quality is so bad but whereas from redmi note 10 with 48mp bring sd678 the quality photography is so good, mediatek always prioritize performance

Bro... It actually depends on the lens of camera and software... The 64mp takes raw shots as I am using realme 7 with 64mp, helio g95. The 48mp takes shots with filters... You have to see the detailing of photo not colours... If there is full of detailing you have to add external filters of your choice.. if you have no detailing with filters then there is no use .

Mediatek always compare latest Snapdragon 4G and Mediatek 4G processor.
They didn't take Snapdragon 732 as their benchmark but actually almost the same performance but slightly weaker on Mediatek side.
Great processor mostly on affordable priced devices and faster performance in that segment also

The redmi 11 prime uses MediaTek g99 chipset and the battery is 5000mAh but the redmi 10 prime uses MediaTek g88 and the battery is 6000mAh. In Mediatek G99, it should have had more battery, but it did the opposite, why? Will the Redmi 10 Prime be worth buying or will the Redmi 11 Prime go on?

I always choose Qualcomm over MediaTek because MediaTek always had much better scores in benchmarks, but using phones with MTK chips, were completely unusable, and most of the apps didn't work and phones wouldn't get any software updates.

the G99 has 2 fast cores that can hit 2.2ghz, and WONT throttle, the 6nm soc is impressive as heck, the 680 snapdragon suffers from only having a single cluster for its gpu, and the chip throttles a lot, hence why it got its ass whooped.
Screen, touch controller and video decoders are totally different.
I think this comparison was fair considering both have same price range
