    Waiting by the minute for this light. Love how portable it is.

    I’m expecting mine today. I already have a ML60 and a ML30. It’s gonna be a god sent gift to replace the SL150ii with this for outdoors shoots (with access to power outlets). I use the SL150ii as a main light and the ml30 and the ml60(at 50% power) as rim lights for interviews in a 3 camera setup. Minus 3 kilograms in the bag 🥳

      @@ThePhotographerGuyI’m pretty sure if you do a usb-c to dtap cable you will get full power. I’ve been in contact with Colbor and they are about to mass produce a 6-foot usb-c to dtap that’s rated for at least 120w. I have those small rigs v mounts and zgcines, they don’t do more than 60w power delivery via the usbc port, that’s why you’re getting only half power.

      @@DenisPacuraru-d3o Just got this light and it is scary bright even at 1%. would to see examples of how you guys use it at weddings. so I put these on 12 stands with a vmount and sand bag it but still found it to wobbly for my liking (queue in drunk guest) .my plan was to lower the center of gravity placing the vmount at the bottom so i got a 10ft USB c cable since i cant find a dtap that long and saw the limit. i came across a markuspix youtube video where he uses a 100W D-Tap to USB-C Bidirectional Charging Adapter that lets you hit 100ws of power through USB C

    Thanks for the review dude! This really answered a lot of my questions. I've been looking for a review of this light since it came out, and I couldn't find any. Looking to use it in a documentary setting.
    How is the shadow quality with the reflector that came with the light? It feels like the element inside the reflector might diffuse the harshness.

    Thank you for providing a detailed review. Do you know, or can verify please, how is the ML100 behaviour when power is cut and back? For example if I turn it on, unplug it from electricity and then plug it back in, would it stay on? Or do I need to reach and turn it on again from the device or the app?

    • @ThePhotographerGuy
      @ThePhotographerGuy  Месяц назад

      If you unplug it the power it turns off. When you plug it back in, you have to hold the power button on to turn it on again. It does go back to the same settings though. I wish it did have a normal power switch.

    Thankyou so much for showing usb-c since I was wondering how far it can be pushed...
    im guessing if the mobile battery can output PD100w then it can utilize the 100w of the unit? I dont know much about voltage and I know the V mount battery has a higher voltage (compared to mobile battery like Anker) that can be sustained for prolonged use.

    • @ThePhotographerGuy
      @ThePhotographerGuy  5 месяцев назад

      Yes. but the USB-C port put out less for some reason. The D-TAP and DC port was fine with the V-Mount.

    What is the USB-C power delivery on your Vmount battery there, cause it seems its only 60w. If you were to plug into a battery bank that had a 100w PD you would be fine powering the light.

      2 NPF battery province 14.8 volt.
