You can get the .ogg files from the main game folder and convert them to .mp3 or whatever you want. I put them on my iPod and listened to it as I went to sleep. It is, at times at least, a very peaceful game.
a decade late to reply, but you are a kindred soul! I did the exact same thing over 10 years ago - listened to this exact track on my ipod connected to some cheap speakers, every night for a long time when I went to sleep. It is very comforting.
