- This "Crystal Comparison" video shows the differences between Apophyllite and Clear Quartz. While it can be pretty easy to tell them apart in their raw point form, when it comes to the clusters it can be a little more tricky. Let me teach you a super simple way to tell them apart.

Super helpful!!! Thank you
Thank you for this video! In my collection I had what I previously believed to be a clear quartz cluster, but turns out it’s apophyllite! 😅🕊✨
We love your video! Keep up the good work. Just FYI Apophyllite is not a Zeolite.
FINALLY I find exactly what I'm searching for 😅 Thank you so much, I really appreciate this info ✨

Hi hry.. I have a clear crystal that some say calcite and some say apophyllite... but I don’t see any 4 points just some clusters.. any idea of any other clear cluster crystal it could be? I didn’t think it was calcite bc it didn’t look waxy and heavier than my other calcites
It is easy enough to rule out Calcite as it would scratch with a knife like a box cutter.
I think it's less likely to see an apophyllite tumble because of the relative softness-- soft crystals wear away too easy and you'd end up with an m&m instead of a lozenge!
lol Ok that is the best description of a tumbled crystal! Or over tumbled as the case may be. lol Love it!
🤙🏼
I have a big crystal quarts
Isnt a apophyllite a combination of a quartz and grey chalcedony?
No. Apophyllite is a member of the Zeolite family.
