- This video ends when I break Benfica’s Champions League curse…
After winning the club’s second European Cup in a row in 1962, then manager Béla Guttmann went to the Benfica board asking for a pay rise.
The club refused and Guttmann was so furious that he walked out with the legend claiming that he uttered
“Not in a hundred years from now will Benfica ever be European champion.”
Since then, Benfica have since played in five European Cup finals, losing them all.
Today, I will break that curse by bringing a Champions League back to Benfica.

I have always made content throughout my professional career, however, it has always been for someone else. In May 2020 I decided that it was time to create something for myself. Football Manager has always been a game that I have loved so wanted to take this opportunity to share some of the tips and tricks that I've learnt!

Please, if you can rebuild Red Star Belgrade, or if you can FK Zabjelo from the Montenegrin lower League ( it is a low league and without any infrastructure, but a club with a beautiful history and passionate fans. Since they wanted to shut down the club in order to build residential buildings instead, the fans of the club had to organize themselves and take over the club to save it from shutting down and now the club is at the beginning and in time it will return to its old glory) 😁

The curse goes beyond the champions league. As you mentioned they lost 5 champions league final, 3 Europa league final and 2 uefa youth league finals too, since the Gutman curse.
The youth league doesn't count benfica won it in 21/22. Guess since the youth teams didnt exist back then the curse doesnt aplly to them.

This would make sense, still, lots of finals losses since
this hurts so much as a Benfica fan if we won half of those finals we would be surely a top 5 if not top 3 club oat

Jesus i really suck in fm im now doing in the 6 sesson and almost win 1 Portuguese cup 4 leagues and 4 league cups 3 quarter finals in the champions league and 1 semi

@@HoodGamingUK in my mind im doing well for a youth to gold only free players this will be a 10 sesson save with 2 objectives clear the deb that is already done in 2 or 3 sessons cant remember bow and win the champions that is being hard
you can do Crvena Zvezda challange, hear me out, win UCL with only players from Ex yugoslavia like in 1991

@@HoodGamingUK thanks a lot man, just to give you a better knowledge, we are the biggest team in Brazil, and we were almost 11 years without a trophy, and last year we won the "Copa do Brasil" Brazilian's cup

@@HoodGamingUK Well..... You mentioned in your intro that schelderup was unavailable as he was on loan at the team from Denmark yet you used him in the very first game in the Portuguese super cup. Since it's impossible to recall a player on loan as soon as you start the game you've obviously used the editor to recall him... and for whatever else.
@johnrussell4908 well the Super Cup final happened before his loan started. Just used a real-world database… Nothing to hide here
