Hi Seth, thanks for playing 'my deck' - you could have beaten Ensnaring Bridge with an Ornithopter as you had 2 teeth out :) Thanks again, made my 2021 so far :)
@@cacs2201 it's one of the first things i went to do. i saw a while back that people didn't like the spoilery cold opens, so as soon as i joined the team i said 'we need to try something new' and started experimenting (editor here)

You know Seth, the stuff that happens during budget magic is sometimes better than against the odds. Once again, I am astounded at the ridiculousness of the things you pull off in these series. So glad to see it; can’t wait for the next one
City of Shadows (The Dark) is AMAZING in this deck. One month, I was trying terrible decks as a complete joke. I built a deck with 40 copies of Fog, for example: 4 Constant Mists, 4 Spore Frog, 20 Forests, wincon is 1x Feldon's Cane. I also built a deck with 40 counterspells, for example: 4 Spiketail Hatchlings, 4 Daring Apprentice as wincons. I tried manaless affinity one match against Reanimator and won 2-1 smashing with Mishra's Factory and Tormod's Crypt holding the monsters at bay. I can't remember the decklist but it was something like 4 Dark Sphere, 4 Delif's Cone, 4 Maze of Ith, 4 Oasis, 4 Desert, 4 Mishra's Factory, 4 Tormod's Crypt, 4 Ornithopter, 4 Phyrexian Walker, 1 Maze of Shadows, 1 City of Shadows. God have mercy on your soul.
Seth, your deck has ornithopter and tooth, technically it can attack through bridge. but it seems unlikely to matter vs lingering souls sorin. but you arent drawing dead.
Its a fringe benefit, but i think when you had land, and nothing else to do, you should’ve equipped paradise mantles to ornithopters. It can add just an ounce more mana and allow you to move bonesaws more.
Love the deck tech, but with the release of Sojourner's Companion (basically an extra 4 copys of Myr Enforcer) I'd replace Salvage Titan, since it frequently stops your affinity and improvise from working after you play it, often causing blowouts if it gets killed.
I guess you could put a bunch of islands in the deck and play thought cast, thought monitor and maybe even Reverse Engineer, to turn through your deck, you could then add Bastion Inventor and Metallic rebuke at least to the sideboard, the deck wouldn't be so manaless though. Also, if you could maybe play something like Feaster of Fools with convoke, if you play mostly creatures. You could also play some other sideboard cards with convoke like Sprouting Renewal or Conclave Tribunal for problematic permanents like Ensnaring bridge
I've been on manaless Titan for years, since 2016 I think. I've 4-0d quite a few times, deck is sweet - I think there are 3 copies of it at my lgs now. Love to see it in Safron's hands
I'll post it when I have time tomorrow, but it's pretty similar (and probably worse). I have 4 assemblers but only 2 breakers, my main goal was to get as much power t1 as possible, therefore I was on 4 darksteel and no sanctum. My sideboard is a bit wack because of budget, but I liked mutagenic growth against creature/red control matchups. I was in a combo heavy meta though so the goal was to goldfish t3 as much as possible, hence the assemblers over breakers. And I say 4 street wraith all day, the goal is to draw Titan as much as possible.
Taking me back to Mirrodin Block! I remember running a playset of both Scale and Tooth of Chiss-Goria just to ramp into my Myr Enforcers. Of course, I also ran a playset of each artifact land, Atog, and Disciple of the Vault, so my end game was usually pretty different, but picking away at someone with an Ornithopter and a Tooth of Chiss-Goria is 100% something I've done before.
I'd love to see a series where seth played old staple strategies to see how they fared agaisnt the current meta. Things like solidarity, spanish inquisition
Match 2, Game 1, Salvage Titan does not require the artifacts to be untapped when they are sacrificed, so you could have played a foundry assembler with the three artifacts you sacrificed... but maybe a free 3/3 to go with your 6/4 wasn’t important :P
Technically on the last match you can win against the bridge using an ornithopter and the tooth you already had, I'm not saying it was a likely option, but possible anyway!
During the game against ensaring bridge, wasn't Ornithopter still an out? It never gets prevented from attacking and then you can pump it with the tooth.
Match 1 Game 2 Would the correct line have been to sac the memnite on T1 rather than a welding Jar? There's no way you opponent doesn't bring in abrade or other artifact destruction spells and with or without the memnite it was going to be a 3 turn clock, so a welding jar to protect something means the opponent needs to burn a more removal to stay alive than having a 1/1.
Modern is basically Yugioh at this point! I play these two artifacts and Normal Summon Memnite! Now, I Special Summon these two Frogmites! And now I tribute Ornithopter plus two more artifacts to Special Summon Salvage Titan!
Whoever is editing these meme intros I just want you to know I love you and hope you're having a nice day
That man also deserves a raise
He is one of my new favorite people.
This was the best one yet
They've been ridiculously good. I didn't expect a world where Goldfish had a video with a prequel meme, but here we are. Love it.
They just keep getting better!

-Artifacts
-Frogs

This is a really fun list. You did well.
This is awesome
Man, good job building this. Do you have any non budget upgrades you can recommend, or any improvement in general?
@Nikola 4x Mycosynth Golem would be a good start 😁
I will take this new intro style any day over the "spoil a random match for no obvious value" intros.
They finally heard us
Exactly this

Hey Seth! I'm your OP from match 5. Those were close games! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!
Yeah! That was super close. Bridge is pretty good against me :)

Seeing mishras bauble in budget is a pre modern masters players fever dream
I know right?
I am loving these new intro styles, Meme's about the deck start hilarious and followed by full screen beard cam is perfection.
Seth, your deck has ornithopter and tooth, technically it can attack through bridge. but it seems unlikely to matter vs lingering souls sorin. but you arent drawing dead.
100% agreed. The downside to not being the deck creator is not knowing all the ins and outs. That last game was definitely his to win.
Its a fringe benefit, but i think when you had land, and nothing else to do, you should’ve equipped paradise mantles to ornithopters. It can add just an ounce more mana and allow you to move bonesaws more.

Seth! You can beat Ensnaring Bridge with Ornithopter. You had 2 Tooth of Chiss-Goria to pump after attack!
Yeah, that was really disappointing. Clearly *someone* ha never beaten an Ensnaring Bridge by attacking with Noble Hierarch 15 times.
The intros are getting better and better, the editor is doing great
The thumbnail says standard and i got really concerned
That’s a funny way to spell excited
LOL
I get the feeling that this deck is more of an Against the Odds style 😂😂
Love the knew intros!
Props to the Goldfish Team, always evolving! 😉

List! Specifically: what do you play over the foundry assembler if anything?

So after all those years ... Seth still calls it "bonded courier".
The intro is absolute gold 😆
Fun fact: you can judge when Seth made his videos based on the length of his beard.
Lol, this might be true.
looks like you fixed the openings to your vids :) thanks for listening to us :)
Glad you like the change!
The moment intros are pretty great. Still a fan of cliffhangers though. Sweet deck Seth
This was one of the first decks I built like 6 years ago. It's fun
Best intro ever.
Loving these new intros
This deck is the mad dream of every player that played deck with 15 lands because they didn't want to cut any card.
That intro was the best thing I've seen in weeks aside from your Vorinclex build.
Okay Seth, it was boring for a while.
But this one...
This is completely bananas.
Card: Chiss-Goria.
Seth: CRISS-GORRA!!!
This was a great piece of content, a nailbiter.
I remember Mirrodin standard, I still have Affinity for artifacts ptsd
This....this is the type of brewing I love
Pauperganda has a very similar list but for pauper (cutting all the non-commons). Very neat modern list
I love Budget time!!!
Hail from Brasil!!!
I am digging the meme intros
I love the intro, also I love the spicy deck. I recently made a metalwork colossus list, so this was similar and fun
Love the shirt Seth!

Lol. I've been playing this deck for years XD
the new intros are top tier
favorite one of the new intros so far XD
honestly, don't know how i can outdo myself...
this deck looks like a ton of fun :D
Ornithopter can always attack through ensnaring bridge. If you didn’t side it out, then you had an attacking creature.
Still loving the edits these are awesome! 😂
Please do this for every future goldfish video, make memes out of the plays that happen during a game.
Best intro ever!
This deck is the dumbest thing I've ever seen and I love it
the intro is so good
I run a similar Jank deck to this with retracts and brainfreezes, it’s a lot of fun
Technically on the last match you can win against the bridge using an ornithopter and the tooth you already had, I'm not saying it was a likely option, but possible anyway!
Decks like this are when you use the phrase "Magic as Garfield intended" lol
The Kermeme intro was glorious...
This deck is so stupid in all the right ways. I’m 100% here for it
I'm having way too much fun watching it. I really do need to build it

During the game against ensaring bridge, wasn't Ornithopter still an out? It never gets prevented from attacking and then you can pump it with the tooth.
“Just die please” seth is even polite when his wishing death on opponents
Match 1 Game 2 Would the correct line have been to sac the memnite on T1 rather than a welding Jar?
