Today I went for Big Air for you guys because I wanted to test out the ramps I just got. I stacked them up and then added another layer for good measure. Unfortunately, i didn't recorx the first 20 minutes and had to start over when I go the camera.

Just an FYI, I've also busted the front steering blocks on my Senton 3s and have aluminum ones coming from GPM. Hot Racing is currently out of stock. Have the Arrma Big Rock. Snapped the front right steering block as well. Truck still handles well and wants to wheelie till the LVC kicks in. Got some aluminum ones coming in for the front and back.
I installed a savox 1258 in mine. I ended up breaking the same carrier while bashing it. I can’t wait for RPM to make parts for it!
Thanks for the front flip tip. I've been struggling to land them. With early brake I was landing them consistently today.

Seems weight is unbalanced laterally to cause that twist on front flips. No biggie, Just makes it more challenging! Some impressive durability testing Tony! 💪💪💪

A lot of cars aren’t balanced to allow it. That’s how I kept breaking my yeti. I kept trying to front flip it. Love the ramps man! Going to let me give cars a good test right in the backyard.

Amazing truck at an amazing price! Love mine! I would recommend to zip-tie the motor wires away from the motor heat sink. The heat sink wire holes in my wires
I’m planning to drill a hole in the side of the chassis to zip tie them to
CCxRC I did the same but moved the wires so they bent away from the heat sink instead of towards it

I have the original also and this one..love them for their price and cheap to fix after a fun time crashing them..i changed the pinion to a t20 and on 3s does around 55-60mph range
How much run time can you get out of the 3s battery on a full charge?

Roadside RC I haven’t driven big rock yet. I currently do though granite. That granite is so killer, here in Minnesota it floats over the snow and then just bites on pavement. Big rock might be Christmas present lol

Great bash! If its Arrma then you better try to break it!! They wanna know what it takes so the next truck out will be that much tougher. I think it was Rich Duperbash in a Senton 4x4 BLX video said "Arrma sent it, they said try to break it" So far he's been a little hard on the body but the truck is still Bashing away. Nothing broke mechanically which just amazes me. This was great Huge fan of what you're doing keep it up!

We dont realize watching rich is even tho hes jumping to the moon hes landing on all 4 for most part you wont get any breakage you didnt deserve with arrmas thats for sure except things rattling lose wear tear but all part of hobby
Haha! Rich sends it! I would love those open trails with big faces to the jumps. Our BMX trail is pretty sketchy on all approaches and landings because they are narrow and surrounded by trees. Almost impossible to link any jumps into a run.

Rich also uses a fish eye so it looks like he's jumping way farther than he is, he even admits it in the comments if you ask him about it, he does send it insane distances but it's not hundreds not feet like people tend to think.

First where did you buy your ramps at? 2nd - I am in the market for either a Taxxas Rustler 4X4 1/10 4WD RTR Stadium Truck or an ARRMA 1/10 GRANITE 4x4 3S BLX Monster Truck! They are around the same price.What are your thoughts?
They are just Landwave ramps. I got them used from a friend. Either one of those should be fun to run. I haven't run the new Rustler, so I can't speak from my own perspecitve - only what I've seen and heard.
With the 3S battery do you think the 100 C is a lot more noticeable than the 50?

I have broken a few things, that were cheap and easy to fix. They really are made pretty durable.
Would you take this over a traxxas stampede 4x4 if the same price?

I just picked up 1. Stock out the box it wont stay straight on open road. I have to constantly steer to keep it centered. Any tips??
Did you drive it slowly straight and set the steering trim on the controller? If that is set...they can torque steer some or the tire balloon can make it not track straight at high speeds.
Isnt wd-40 making plastics more rigid and over time brittle? And makes them snap easier?
Based on the tests I’ve seen, it makes them more flexible and less likely to break.
@@CCxRC Well I've not tested it in a long run so i wont say like its one or the other way, tho my friends who did this told me it made arms weaker but it might just have been coincidence. Other trick I've heard of is for the cold temperatures when you boil your arms (like literally you take a pot and boil them in water) its supposed to change the amount of water arms have absorbed(common fact nylon absorbes and gives away water) and make them stronger. It would be a nice idea for the video to actually somehow test the nylon's strenght before and after these home methods :D
I just heard about the boiling trick. Scares me :) I’d probably melt parts 😂
@@CCxRC Nah their melting point is suprisingly high (tried with mini blow torch) and not rl much of an effect.
@@Ev0ltion it's all up for debate I think wd40 makes it weaker it does suck moisture out when it dries I know I use it to clean the grease off my diffs when I clean them so I would think bit strips any oil out of the plastic. I use tire shine like armor all on my plastics to make them more flexible.
The front end doesnt have upper A-arms, are those just extra pieces in that RPM set?
Adam F the RPM set is for the old model Granite. It’s confusing. The new one is the Granite 4x4 BLX and there aren’t RPM arms for it.
That’s said. I sprayed a ton of WD40 on these ones and they took a beating.
Can you remove the wheelie bar?
Also, I didn't realise there was breaks, I thought you just ease of the throttle to slow down
There isn’t a brake on it, but it uses the motor to brake. If you push the throttle forward for reverse....first it acts like a break. If you push it forward 2x it goes in reverse

Center diff...and if the shocks don't leak....it might be better. But how long will part support be available and what are those costs? Things to look into
Great vid and truck there. I find that arrma just does not have the right kind of cars though. Yes they are cheap fast and beefy, but traxxas still is more durable even though it has way skinnier parts. Maybe it is the material but i do not know.
Wow, you must not have an arrma... Every time my son takes his slash out he breaks something. Literally every, single, time. He does far far less bashing than I do with my Granite.
Have had several traxxas. expensive junk that always break. Just got a 3s blx granite and very much impressed with it. Won't buy traxxas again

How is this truck holding up over a year later
the shocks had leaked out oil and needed to be refilled, but other than that she was running good. A local guy I know saw me driving my maxx and was interested in getting an RC like it, but the Maxx price was too high. I showed him my Granite running and how the speed was similar and he asked me to buy it from me...so I sold it to him. It's one car that I do miss having. Great size, lots of power, and pretty durable.

I’d check for them used on Facebook. You can get a set of 2 with a flat gap piece (used to stack on) for around $50. They are expensive new. I got all three sets for $125 used.
150$ more for the outcast 6s aluminum upgrades everywhere. You get twice the truck for only 150$

How much run time can u get on a 3s battery?
Depends on a lot of factors. There are all different capacities of 3s battery and different C ratings that discharge at different rates. Typically 12-15 minutes

I broke the thin plastic piece of the wheelie bar. I’m just going to zip tie it up like most wheelie bars
