I admire you so much; I followed all your advice so far for 6 solid months, all in, and my latest blood test shows massive improvement in BUN, creatinine, and most importantly, my EGFR is now 60! Thank you for being such a SMART, wonderful man .. and showing others how to heal with good nutrition. I agree, the majority of doctors are "worthless" .. they know nothing about good nutrition. I left a comment on one of your earlier videos that I had to watch my brother suffer all through his teen years with kidney failure, and he died when he was only 20 years old. It was absolutely HORRIBLE! If he and my parents had known to change his diet and eat healthy, he would still be alive today.

I'll be 72 soon. I've had chest congestion over 3 years. I had knee replacement surgery on both knees over 2 years ago. My feet and ankles swell ever since surgeries. I've noticed a lot of weight gain lately, and commented to my doctor thinking she'd recommend a dietitian or nutritionist, but she didn't. I called her office and asked if I had edema, after I googled for answers. I was told that I do have edema and also stage 3 chronic kidney disease. I was surprised. I don't think my doctor ever mentioned it. Thinking about getting a second opinion, and plan to buy the book you suggested.

Albutrix sounds expensive because it's money upfront. In my situation, it would be a little over $6 a day (cheaper than one fast food meal). But I also understand for some especially nowadays that can be a lot. I just look at it as a program that will get me where I need to be. Then I'll maybe cycle it as needed with exercise and diet if needed. My 3b CKD is due to some scarring from chemo.
