    Great results Myra... Are they going to be growing permanently in Lecca? Those root growth are crazy. I think this will be a great way to propagate expensive, rare philos thanks for sharing.

    • @JustMyra
      @JustMyra  4 года назад +2

      They are going to be growing in Leca and it’s much easier less watering time . I plan to most of my plants in Leca just one step at a time . I’m thinking to propagate and the one I propagated would be in Leca so I don’t interrupt the growth of the ones in soil.

      Thank you so much sis, all my plants are indoors it’s really relaxed me and so far they are thriving . I’m sure you able to grow plants too indoor .you just need a time to get to know the plants . Like it the plants need more sun or less sun . Some of my plants are from low to medium bright they don’t need a light of direct sun that’s maybe they are surviving. Just don’t give up keep on trying . Thank you for the friendship glad to be your friend too.

    I think I'll stick with soil old school. I think leca is a lot more of an expense from what I have seen. Your plants look like they really enjoy it. But I'm living on such a tight budget it's hard to afford some of the beautiful plants I would love to have. That's why I watch plant tubers I can admire others. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!💜🍃🌺🌴🌵

    • @JustMyra
      @JustMyra  4 года назад +2

      Hi! Sandra , I don’t blame you I know collecting plants can be expensiveand the same time taking care of it .i don’t have a lot expensive plants either and just enjoy seeing other people own one . I just started some of my plants not all. I thought I would do all but decided just do a small one and transfer the rest once after I move so it won’t be hard for the plants to transport . Anyway thank you always for watching and leaving me kind words .

    Do you have any pictures how it actually is doing now?

    • @JustMyra
      @JustMyra  3 года назад

      Sorry I have removed this now in Leca because I can’t keep up with the roots growth and easy to rot if I don’t transfer in bigger pot . It does grow well in Leca but also have to keep up on flushing and witching pot to make space for roots . I still have the plants but now on soil . I honestly find this kind of method is only good for starting plants to roots not something that considered permanently . And also a lot of work from my experience .

  • @ritayeoh3620
    @ritayeoh3620 2 года назад +1

    Dear Sis Myra, actually U don't need to use the middle black divider, just put the plant roots sitting on the Leca directly in the pot .. they will grow fine. My INDOOR plants are All in Leca (Aglaonema, Dumb Cane Dieffenbachia, Anthurium etc etc) except for my Money Tree Pachira Aquatica plant which I have not tried yet... Leca is Easy & clean..hahaha for lazy people like me. Great Blessings to All.

    • @JustMyra
      @JustMyra  2 года назад

      I get tired doing Leca , I pretty much converted my plants back in soil again. I’m happy yours working perfect for you . I kind a get burnt out , I guess too much plants 🤣. I’m working on lessen my collection and just enjoy only few. But good luck on that . Have a great one and thank you for stopping by and leaving me a feedback . It’s nice to know that Leca works perfect you and your plants. I did like it too coz plants grow healthy fast and nice , I just can’t keep up with how roots grow so fast . I still have few hoyas that are in Leca . Take care dear!

    How do you get the neon pothos and pearl & jade to grow roots in semi hydro? Everytime I try they just rot without growing roots 😭. I've only been successful with a few cuttings of pearl & jade in a mix of pumice, lava rock, bark, and some clay pebbles. Thanks 🙏

    • @JustMyra
      @JustMyra  3 года назад +1

      This are some potted one that I start removing the soil then transfer to Leca , what I do is before I transfer from Leca to soil I waited till it really dry and then removed from soil but I don’t wet the roots when I do that . Then add water no nutrients for the first week till the Pothos get use to it and I’m making sure it’s not touching the water pothos from soil to Leca tend to not be happy at all all. It work good it grow roots fast but what I don’t like about it the roots get so crazy happy the pretty much need to find a bigger pots coz if I don’t it will cause root rot and that’s how it end up dying .

  • @marysunshine389
    @marysunshine389 4 года назад +3

    Couldn’t you just cut the roots back and put them back in the same pot? Sort of like pruning except your pruning the roots.

    • @JustMyra

    Sis Myra, no need to change pot...as U don't want your plant to grow so big.. just let it grow in the same pot as per my comment just now...don't use the middle black divider. Roots sit on Leca, then put a bit in to steady the plant (No need to fill the balance whole pot with Leca... when U fill water, just fill to cover the roots enough so won't rot the stem. Great Blessings to All.
