- This video on the finishing process for forging a rose covers the last few steps it takes to make a phenomenal metal rose! I start by wire wheeling the bloom, adding patina, and finish with a protective coating (I like to use Rustoleum clear enamel spray paint).
These hand forged roses are art that I make and sell.

Fantastic Thank you for the video
Very nice brother.
Roy is it possible to paint the metals with red and green for example? But colors that allow the black areas to still come through?
Hi Roy yet another great video, question regarding finishing have you ever tried any difference mediums or mixtures thereof?
Great tips. If you get your hand in a wire wheel I guarantee you’ll only do that once lol.
+Jeremy Thompson LOL nope you certainly won't forget that :-)
Idk guys maybe I'm just a clutz, but I've been into wire wheels and grinder stones many times. Less than comphy is a term.
Not to say at all I disagree w your adminishment of gloves in the grinder cuz cloth cloves are a real hazard w o any doubt, however I ware top grain gloves not rough out at all.
Even once had a stone shatter 1 time grinding a bolt. Yup left pieces of it stuck in my biceps forearm and chest thru a heavy denim shirt and cotton tshirt. Just more proof life can happen and the Good Lord most often allows us to learn from our errors.
Blessed day sirSir, Crawford out
