- In early 2000s there was a trend towards platform dependent button prompts in videogames. Nowadays, it remains as the wonderful reminder that nothing's gonna last forever, especially in the ever-changing gaming industry!

"Exit game". Simple.
Thought "Quit game" Was enough
April fools or not, the number of games that don't have a direct quit button is too damn high!
Nice trolling video title

fellow saboteur enjoyer i see
It took me like 2 seconds to notice the april fools due to the steamdeck clip with Dishonored 1.
Great video!
I'm assuming the reminder of impermanence is that Windows is dropping in market share and may soon play second fiddle to Linux as a platform. I like this thought very much. Of course, if we count mobile platforms, Android is a Linux distribution that like Alpine eschews the GNU ecosystem and thus Linux should probably already be considered the market leader.
simple, never exit the game, that is your new reality, get used to it
i have been fooled by the title
As a game dev a few years ago I wouldn't have thought that the Windows specific binaries would run on ither OSes either. If the game would've been officially released on other platforms (like Linux/macOS) by recompiling it you could just change the string
"Quit" & "Quit to Menu"
Danke!
What is the name of the game at 0:53 ?
Gears 5. It's availabe on Steam and performs well on Steam Deck!
Click bait! 🤪
