The mans design work was amazing. my first exposure was the film Aliens where he did the design of the Sulaco and possibly others. I can't remember right now. He also did design work for Blade Runner and the original Tron.
WaDom is my favorite design of his, it makes me a bit sad and happy that Bandai and Sunrise are honoring his memory with this

Im more surprised how she got a custom wodom pod when there isn't any existing model kits for it, like did she make it herself or something, also unrelated but im pretty sure the wodom pod was like the size of a huge mobile armor and yet her custom version is mobile suit size for reference the wodom pod was like the size of two turn a gundams this looks like its even less the size of one
Theres this theory going around that theres gonna be a combiner at the end of rerise. Those blue parts look like skirts, the leg could be for the arms if we compare their size to the "skirt" and the EX Valkylander's V-fin fits on the head of the core II.
Why have I never heard about this

Maybe that's why they will release a full set of all the S2 Re:Rise kits

They did release a special color set containing all of 4. It is as expected.
The wodom has a “hyper mega particle beam canon” in the mushroom head, and the mushroom head can pop off when it is severely damaged

on the latest episode, the build divers combine into new formation ! New core change re:rising ! Wodom pod is being the leg, core gundam as the body, aegis knight as shoulder and arm, and some of ex valkylander parts as wings and tail. So they do combine and compatible with one and another.. pretty interesting for me, but the color scheme is not great for me, except when they turn into glorious gold when firing their large beam shoot 😂
there's a pbandai gold version that includes uraven, ex valkylander, aegis knight and wodom pod

Truly an amazing little kit. Makes me hope we get a legit Turn A Gundam Wodom kit. For the black armor try using a graphite pencil to color in the panel lines.

There's a rumour that the purple extra armour is for making a "Final battle version" unit that is shown as an ancient inscription in the opening song. Since there is a upcoming set of Uraven Gundam, Aegis Knight, this Wodom Pod and Ex Valkylander, aka a 4 in i package labelled as 'Final Battle version (Special colour ver.)", probably you combine certain parts among the 4 to create that one.

That thing on the back of it's "head" reminds me of the frontskirt of the MG Nu Gundam Ver Ka, specifically with those front plates removed.

What kinda logic is that? At least expect the release of actual HGCC Wodom. Also the 2014 HGCC Turn A is not that bad.

Perhaps that skirting armor is from:
1. Astray
2. Gundam MK- II, III, IV
3. Zeta
4. ZZ
5. Wing (not wing zero)
Im pretty sure that back armor is from wither the Turn A itaelf or the SUMO
zeta has flat skirts with no recesses

So the regular Wodom can be equipped with an extra generator on top of the head to increase the firepower and firing duration of its main cannon, here's hoping we get a full Wodom kit in the future.
Also RIP Syd Mead, I will continue to love his designs, the Turn X was my first MG and my second favorite mobile suit.
The normal Wodom is really tall. Around the size of a Master Grade.

Are you ready to make a video of the re rising gundam as thats what the seat in the wodompod and the big scirting armor is for it forms the lower part of the re rising gundam its self.
Dunno if someone else mentioned this, but a quick google search for the Wodom pod also gave me a result for some Core Gundam armor. That's probably where the skirt comes from.
Please don't worry about that Plus Armor yet, I've watched all the Build Divers ReRise and it hasn't shown up yet. The next episode is next Thursday, so maybe we'll see it there. Thanks for the review!

@Mecha Gaikotsu. There are a lot of Hollow parts in the upcoming Fake-Nu Gundam especially its beam rifle.

I think the design of the Wodom is incredible. It’s very War of the Worlds-like, so it looks as if it’s an invading, alien mech from outer space. Which it is. It’s far from traditional. Could only be pulled off by the legend Syd Mead.

Mecha... there are names for blue-green colors. Turquise, cyan, mint, teal and so on. Please, I beg you, use one of them, any one of them!
For me, i personally grew up with crayons labeled as my favorite color blue-green, others like red-violet, yellow orange, red-orange, sky-blue, etc. So i still use those names until now. Maybe its the same case for some people? LOL.

I was gonna say there are only 3 or 4 model kits from Turn A, but 1999,co says otherwise with 11 items listed, including a kapool which doesn't count, there have only been 5 mobile suits from the franchise to get Gunpla; Turn A, Turn X, Sumo, Flat, and this Wodom,

I believe the rear stabilizers resemble the backskirting on the GN-X (only on this wodom pod they are moveable). Also that armor and the rear stabilizers look like they should be able to equip onto something else but I have no clue what
I love the Pod Plus armor. It gives the Wodom Pod a cute little bow.

The extra armor is yet to spear on the anime due to it being put on hiatus because of the quarantine and is only starting back up this Friday

I think the Hatch on Wodom Pod is to launch the Mobile Doll inside it. I remember seeing it on the S1 on eps 4 / 5 if i'm not mistaken

Just came back from Re:Rise episode 25 and it actually is a front skirt!
If I had to guess, the head compartment is for the heavy beam cannon, a weapon the Wodom used in turn A.
I am super hoping for an HG non-scale wodom now.

the skirt looking armor has not appeared in the show yet, as it was postponed due to covid19. We'll know in the upcoming episodes. Same thing with the fake Nu stuff

The armor kind of reminds me of either Zeta, Kyrios, And other kinds of flying transforming gundams that I kind remember (except airmaster that doesn,t look like it).
With ep25 of build divers re rise out we finally know what the skirting armor is for and it looks cool

It's a bizarre design but I love the color scheme and I really like the Turn A aesthetic.

in-universe the Wodom Pod is only 24 meters in height whereas the Turn A Wodom is massively 40 meters in height, not sure if Bandai is going to make the Turn A Wodom as a 1/144 HG kit and would be amazing if it is not P-Bandai too, just sell the thing normally like the Neo Zeong.

Mecha predicted Re:Rising Gundam. The rear armor pieces are in fact side skirts for a combined form.
May constructed this Gunpla so that her Mobile Doll can board it to carry out more strategic Gunpla battles. The Mobile Doll May can exit the Wodom Pod once the top cover flip opens. there’s your answer!

So as of the new episode that just came out we found out the back armor for the wodom pod plus is the crotch and legs for core change Re:rise it takes wodom+, Core II, Ex-Valkylander, and Aegis Knight ... Wodom is legs Core is body Aegis is arms and EX-Valkylander is wings and tail...
Did you watch GBD Re:Rise episode 25? Just be ready to see the Re:Rising Gundam formation which will help your blue skirting mystery. And don’t get overexcited when seeing the new armored Gundam formation.
I think the armor is based off the Gundam Kyrios. Even the armor on the weapons look like the orange flaps on the back of the kyrios's shoulders.

I feel like that could benefit from some neutral grey accents, may on the inside of the rear armor. The 3 colors along don't seem like enough
