    Awesome place. I grew up fishing off the exact same rock and we kept our buckets and tackle on those same almost level rocks. They used to catch a lot of shark off the end of the jetty.

    On one hand it seems like you’ve caught your fair share of lings, but then I seen you lip that keeper and I’m like.. wtf!? 😂

    • @TheBite2020

      If you look close you'll see that I was trying to get my finger into an exact little spot inside the mouth, If you sink your fingers into the right place you can actually under lip a fairly big ling with out it ripping you up..., But it was him shaking before I got in there that actually dug his teeth in....

    That's real dangerous man, I got swept into the ocean once. Ain't no joke out there on the rocks I saw those waves crashing over your feet and was just getting anxiety from watching your video. Be careful out there

    I used to live there and work the charter boats. The whales come in over the bar almost every summer feeding on the bait fish. One little tip when fish that jetty, fish the ocean side, the lings are typically alot bigger.

    Know what they call someone who turns his back on the ocean? Missing person!! Avoid tragedy by ALWAYS facing ocean. Fish in tandem, one person watches while other re-baits.

    • @JohnAnderson-ze2hu
      @JohnAnderson-ze2hu 2 года назад

      I know the ocean is no joke but how do you fish on the jetty by yourself then. I fish that jetty at night all the time by myself. You just have to be smart about it

    What rod are you using?

    • @asherwren4502
      @asherwren4502 4 года назад +1

      I was just using a heavy water ugly stick..., It's a little stiff but works great to get the fish up outta the rocks... But you can probably tell it doesn't have a lot of action in tip. I was using #30 braid on my main line, and that adds some sensitivity to your line, but I think you could go bigger than 30 there for sure. The braid really hep you feel your movement in the water, but when you lose gear it can become really expensive.

      We don't usually give out exact locations , just to respect the locals and protect fisheries , but I will tell you that in one our "monsters and rainbows" episodes we leave a pretty big clue as to where we are in this one....
