Great review. I've been eyeing these for a bit and your review helps. You said you did NOT go with a wide with on these and your normally do? Did they need any break-in or was the fit pretty spot on? I normally wear an EE or EEE for boots but sometimes just a standard width can work too.
I wear a 11ee in newbalance shoes and a 11 works great for me in schnees. They might have been a little snug width wise at first but they are great now. A lot of boot brands I'll take a 10 1/2 2 or 3 e. There are very few brands I don't take a wide width in. You can call schnees also and there customer service is great and they can guide you a bit in what to buy. When I bought mine I was concerned as well as they didn't offer a wide width. Hope this helps.
I will look into those boots. I need some like that. I think it is great you eat bear meat. Never had it myself. How do you like it compared to other meat?
Bear is like a very rich pork, its good. No need to turn it into a hockey Puck but you do need to cook it through as it can carry trycinosis (I may be spelling that wrong) like any other omnivore.
Awesome! Preferring them over Sorrells says a lot. When I'm up north I wear XtraTufs year round and just try to make up for insulation with socks.
XtraTufs, I have never heard of them I'll have to take a look at them.
