Awesome video; thanks for the tips! Mega Draft is fun, but I do hate they replaced ladder with it. Do you have tips for those of us who don't have everything at lvl 11? Does the level advantage override choosing counter cards?

Should have been implemented at the top of trophy road at 7500 trophies. Shouldn't have lost our main game mode; it should have been an awesome addition to the game, not a trade. **Tips for level 11 players** Draft the high-priority picks that you have higher level as early as possible (the ones I talked about in the intro) BUT do not draft something lower priority like ebarbs, golem or pekka first picks. If you pick the cards that you have high level early, people will just counter them & you'll lose vs any decent player. Even if they're your only high level win condition, try to pick them later so your opponent won't know what you're picking, unless you feel your opponent will pick your win condition. ALSO EARLY ON IN DRAFT: try to snag cards like snowball or tornado that have value regardless of card level - slowing down, pushing back pushes, and activating king tower
I feel they coulda easily added another ladder mode instead of removing it and making it all Mega Draft.
One thing I don't really like about Megadraft is that sometimes I get a rotation of cards and they are mostly lower leveled than other cards, it feel rather unfair to be kinda forced to pick the lower level cards and lose because the interactions require the cards to be equal or higher level to the opponent's cards.
well, to be fair
other players are either further advanced with the overall progression.
or just didnt focused their card upgrades as much.
they obviously have an advantage over players that are either not as advanced or that focused their upgrades on their main deck.
That's true, most of my cards are underleveld so its unfair when i'm forced to pick the lower leveled cards

Great video Jake, this is so useful for me.
I personally believe that, in Mega Draft, each player should have one clock for all eight picks (similar to triple draft). The picks would still alternate just as they do currently, and your clock would pause when it is your opponent's turn. Because this would provide more flexibility for the players, the overall time allowed could be justifiably reduced so that the games would happen faster. Currently, each player has a total of 120 seconds, so I would reduce the overall time allowed to either 90 or 100 seconds (this would be an average of 11.25 or 12.5 seconds per pick). Thoughts?

I super appreciate that all your videos have a purpose. Like I remember you saying in one of your streams that you usually only make videos that are going to help people out besides the occasional meme deck. However, now that mega draft is a full challenge, you make a video with super helpful tips and strategies on it, rather than just record yourself playing mega draft.

I kind of love mega draft. Been climbing very easily. I hated the hog rider cycle decks and refused to play it just to climb, so this change is very appreciated. It actually tests your overall knowledge of the game and lvl11 is not too bad to get your cards to.
I don’t like this as ladder at all. But I love mega draft! Can’t wait to see your tips to get better at it! I’m at royal champion and hoping this mega draft season I’ll be able to get ultimate champion for the first time!
My current favorite deck is rascals, double prince, hog, minion hoard, gob gang, cannon and log. Has a little bit of arrows bait in there, paired with insane dps. I’m constantly getting positive elixer trades with this deck. Would love to see you try it out. Much love, keep up the amazing daily content

Another tip is picking Cannon cart or Goblins since they're both really versatile and synergies most decks! Either ways, cannon card is an amazing card being able to defend pushes really clean and even being a threat on attack.

I like the video. You should do another since it will be this whole month. I usually start with barb barrel or log. Aren’t both more helpful than poison?
I think the card draft for the first cards should be longer(cuz figuring out strat) but should decrease progressively with each card, and should be like 5 seconds max for the last cards

Wow, the edit of the video is superb! Very helpful video, tx. For megadraft, they should indeed sort the cards by type and elixir, to ease the pick. This would at least increase a bit the comfort, and avoid missing cards. I'm no pro player, so 15s is really needed in my opinion.

I was stuck on the league before Champions after I watched your video I made it. Great Video
One change is make is a few seconds on the pick screen after last pick. It changes so fast sometimes I don’t see who is picked last. I’d also like the cards organized by elixir cost so it’s easier to quickly see what’s available

A royal deck: Royal delivery, royal recruits, royal ghost, royal giant, princess, prince, dark prince, and skeleton king or archer Queen.
If that won’t be viable in any way sub in mirror and/or any one spell like tornado that might compliment it.

i started upgrading all my cards randomly maybe 2 months before this update so i could play a variety of decks in party mode. pretty funny how this turned out for me. my cards are all level 10 or higher
lets go tag, i studied your gameplay for like the entire first period and i got ultimate and was top 30 local
Ladder has gone from my favorite mode where I played a ton to a slog of rolling the dice if my leveled cards are available.
i know this is unpopular, but i like it like this, you have ladder as the classic game mode where we compete by maxing our decks, and the mega draft is the other way for everyone else to compete

at 14:50 you said there werent any good ways to counter princess but snowball was on the draft, which you can use to knock a bridge princess towards your tower so the princess tower can kill it, and a lot of the time thats how people play princesses
to have a level progression i would change the starting level to be 7 or 8 progressing to 11
like it was in the old path of legends where the level progression was 11 to 14
it would be still a progression inside and the focused leveling of cards wouldnt be as needed anymore.
you just need to focus on one deck for trophy road and then progress the rest of the cards to level 11 one by one

I was very skeptical of mega draft this season but to be honest, it’s been very fun building and going against some other decks.
Love the vids. But i have a deck u might like. hog rider, valk, bats, skeletons, fireball, log, tesla, and firecracker. for me it works really well. love your vids

I always go miner first pick, regardless of the other cards since miner can also act as your win condition if needed be. And if your opponent messed up and forgot to pick an egiant or loon counter, you can always use the miner as a support troop instead.
This is why Sir Tag is the best, he understands what cards work the best with each other as well as which card combinations will work against other decks and won't work, being able to build a deck that works and counters the oppents deck while he'd making it is a completely different skill level

Y’all should try this deck been using for 6yrs straight and never changed it for the meta. Hit 7500 trophies & Ultimate champion. Goblin Barrel , goblin gang , knight , minion horde , Inferno , Rocket , Fire Spirit , used to use zap when it used to fully counter maxed goblins barrel now I use log
Mega draft path of legends is a fun game mode.. Everybody wants supercell to add new fun stuff and now y'all push back, i know it's for content, but instead of asking to remove mega draft forever you guys should talk about GC tokens or other game modes where we could use main decks..

Mega draft is cool and all but to have it as the ranked mode that is supposed to be based entirely on skill and making that a mode where your deck is mostly random

I ain't playing PoL this season because my cards are underleved.
I truly enjoy this game mode but wish all players could play at level 11.
I really do want every card to be level 11 in this game mode also every card unlocked . Everyone upgrades their main deck they don't upgrade every card unless the main is fully maxed . This game mode is forcing us to upgrade every card . Bit annoying

I love mega draft gamemode, these tips helped me out alot but I kinda wanna use weird goofy decks.
I agree that every card should be tournament standard but only as long as you have that card otherwise there wouldn't be a reason to push up in trophies to get champions

How do i get the megadraft ladder?
My deck destroys the meta. Giant skeleton, skeleton barrel, clone,musketeer,arrows,log,sparky,goblins,
It's so nice to surprise opponents with clone. It makes for very fun games
This could have been a fun addition except for the fact that they didn’t make everything level 11. So if you don’t have all your cards leveled up you’re at a huge disadvantage, especially considering that you may not have counters to your opponents cards leveled up so they can counter pick you but you can’t in return. Just feels like another way to force even more pay to win on us.
I’m worried how content creators are going to show off their decks because of the only way to go up on ladder is gone

I don't think its a good idea to make all cards level 11 because that would kinda kill the point of upgrading (except clanwars). If that would be the case you could just choose to beat ladder with one deck and then never upgrade anything else. Also love from the netherlands❤❤
