My question is why not manufacture more bolts, using modern equipment and technology? CNC?
You would think that if people are paying 1k for them, it would be viable to do a run of bolts.

Isn't the m60 still in limited service and production? Where are the military m60 bolts coming from?
The company that makes them only sells to the Government.
It’s too bad there aren’t many bolts available. I’m glad just to have 2 of them in serviceable condition.
Does this problem also existed for the PKM, and is it resolved on the M240 by using a tilting bolt?
Even if you baby it, 6:20 you only get 20k on a bolt?!
what does or did the military do to protect the bolts?
@@dieHoelzer nothing. They shot them until they were unservicable and then just replaced them. Which means they went through a lot of bolts.
