I love it when Amos says he is grateful to God that he was born Ugandan. Proud Ugandan. I always tell my students that Uganda is the best country in the world.
One thing I like about Mr. Wekesa is the way he recognizes everyone. With all his great achievements and status, he's one man who will walk to you and shake your hand for just holding a camera and taking a group photo with him in it. It might seem like a small gesture but if you're one person fighting to rise above the storm like me, that's an assurance. That you got this.
Trees moving 😅reminds me of my first journey from Kasese to Kampala at the age of 14yrs and today living in the UK breaking the chain of poverty in my family. God is good.Thank you Wekesa for sharing and thank you Wode for bringing this to us.
I think this happens to children I used to see trees move when I started traveling. I actually shared with a friend that these days trees no longer move.
😂😂 not long ago i had shared this thing of trees moving when i travelled from shags to town to my daughter, there was a bus called people's those born in 80s you must have boarded it.

Amos Wekesa is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring men in Uganda today, if not, then his the most. It was a pleasure running 10km this month in honour of his 50th birthday. I always upplaud his humility, integrity, hardwork and endless contribution to Uganda's tourism industry. A Uganda with at least 10 Amos Wekesa operating in different states or cities will be better off than with 1000th MPs with no credentials.
This man has a real story to tell and I'm ready to hear him out and learn of his resilience to crawl out of poverty. Wode Maya, bring on the part two. Well Done!❤❤
While living in a certain country last year, there was a family that wanted to visit Uganda and asked if i can recommend a trusted tour company. I had heard about Amos so quickly checked online for the name of his company and i recommended it to them. Boy, they had a wonderful experience! Just like the bible says in Proverbs 22:1, I have never met Amos but his the reputation of quality and sincerity and humility sells him. Keep it up and more blessings Amos. Maya, thanks you so much.. waiting for part 2!
Our Uganda 🇺🇬 President has analysed African poverty well. He said that the majority of Africans have not been poor at all. They lived in a MONEYLESS ECONOMY, with a lot of food, milk, meat, fish, etc. That's why the gentleman is not stunted he is educated and is an entrepreneur. Poverty, as measured by the amount of calories taken per day, should capture the African context of abundance of resources, but with moneyless people.
Africans are poor and live in absolute poverty. Poor quality houses, dirty houses, no drinking water, no electricity, crime, corruption, rape, etc. I am African and love the continent and have invested there in some of the most remote communities and I know what I regularly see.
This is the most incredible analysis. What is sad is that people refuse to rap their minds around a cashless reality. People stood still because they didn’t know where to file in or they had no direction. They had no self efficacy they needed cash & title in the MATRIX to enslave them and to give them task & worthiness. They didn’t do anything or create anything lest they receive directive & cash. This is my theory on the Christian Bible stating, “and the devil has deceived the WHOLEWORLD”! People can not say they are in poverty! The same claims are true here in USA. People can create without cash & they can educate without cash yet they stand still. This is profound & it is makes me shiver of the fact that we dare not dream of an abundant reality where we have no need of cash. No cash should be a challenge to create the things to meet the needs! Do you agree?
I've been blessed to meet and interact with Mr Wekesa! He is a very simple and humble man, he gave me 3 hours of his very precious time on our very first meeting, where I went on to befriend his son, Kylan, who's been born into everything but still a spitting epitome of his father. They're very nice people and he (Sr) will tell his story freely and give you the ins of the game. Kudos! Let's spread the message!
