good point. part of that has to be the fact that he's in art's band here. i'm sure wynton respected the hell out of art and would play however the man wanted him to.
Total command and creativity, willing to go to the edge and back.
El mejor trompetista del mundo
This wipes all doubts the Wytnon can play!

great sound
why do we always compare? They are both uniqe, so am I.
This is my favorite at the moment.
Do you have the rest of this performance ?
That's Charles Fambrough on bass & Donald Brown on piano.
Taking all the great trumpeters Wynton stands tall amongst them. Technique wise he is the best.
"My Ship" by Kurt Weill
como decia thelonious monk tocar lento es mas dificil que tocar rapido.wynton un genio.
is this song on record at all?
Anybody know what year this was?
You may be right.
does anyone know who is the bassist?
🌾🌱💙🙄
Clarence Seay
The huge disconnect between the sound and the video is VERY disconcerting.
With Wynton of this period, I only know it's not Miles when he does something Miles couldn't do. Also if the bass sounds like amplified crap.
All influence is not real art. It is just the base to make art. We have to forget the influence and listen to the pure uniqe expression.
