When Will China Reopen to Foreign Tourists

There are lots of speculations as to when China will reopen its borders to international visitors. The fact is nobody knows, but one good indicator that China is on the way to welcome back foreign visitors is the wide resumption of international flights by China’s major airlines beginning in November 2022. As a China tour operator, we find this development very encouraging. We predict that China will start to allow foreign tourists in as early as March 2023. This is soon after the two-week-long Chinese Lunar New Year holiday, also known as Spring Festival in China, assuming COVID-related death rate remains very low at that time.
