I cannot wait to see this models progression. Have just started one of my test models the hg guncannon gundam and going to use some of the vallejo air colours. Will you be doing a weathering tutorial for this model? Can't wait for the next WIP video
Well as much as I like the idea of it I do like painting the standard colour scheme. The painting on all my models is custom to a degree. But I'll get round to doing something like that one day. Thanks for the question Nicolai :)
Hi Stuart, been a little while since we last spoke, since we did I have now joined ipms Bolton, also been working on my 1/100 exia. However I do have question for u, what Clear Coat do u find works best, I've been using humbol gloss clear coat, even though it leaves a nice finish, I'm find that when handling the parts for to long or press to hard, the heat from my fingers starts to dull the clear coat and makes it a little sticky, so was wondering what clear coats u found work best, as I'm having this issue with the humbol. Many Thanks Andy.
Hi Andy welcome back and thanks for your question. No wonder your having issues with the Humbrol as its enamel based the curing time is enormous and over time it can be very expensive you need a cheep and plentiful gloss coat for protecting your paintwork. I use as most modellers do Pledge Multi-Surface Wax aka Jonson's Kiear www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Pledge-Multi-Surface-Wax/60462011?gclid=CjwKEAiAqrqkBRCep-rKnt_r_lkSJAArVUBc1-rxWgz0hPGhegYQ-WOXfP_BhXiz_2RNoH2r8T-NWhoCd67w_wcB Its thin enough to go straight through your airbrush and you can handle it within about 20 minuets. I'll paint then put thin layers of this down, do my decaling panel lining then another few thin layers then a finishing top coat of your choice. Hope that's of some help mate :)
Andy Mason Err not sure got to wait till our AGM at our club to see what meetings we'll be attending in the new year. its a bit of a drive for me but we'll see how it goes.
Yeah it is a bit of a drive, well if you do decide to come I'm sure I'll have some questions to throw at u by then. Also in the mean time if I have any another questions I'll pop a msg over to you. Many thanks again for the help mate it's much appreciated.
looking forward to this build

Hi Logan, yes my friend the point in doing the weathering is so I can get a tutorial out to you guys later in the build.
Cheers Stuart, looking forward to this one. Just saw a couple of the new stuff coming out, might wait till I am better at painting first :)
