    Nuno, good afternoon. I ask why you stopped watching robot structural analysis videos on RUclips? I learned a lot from you, I think I should continue.     At 1.41 clip why DL1 (which is self weight) NOT considered in Modal Analysis

      Because it was considered explicitly on the modal analysis. At clip 1.17 you see that I have not checked the "Disregard density" box. That way, self-weight is always considered. You check that box, then you will have to add the DL1 on the load cases to be considered.

      What do you mean? You may want to know the base shear for example and, after doing this analysis, it is very easy...

    I did the same Engr.Nuno, but in calculation messages Robot said
    For 11 modes the mass participation factor is equal 85.89, although i changed the advanced parameters as you said, so what is the problem?

    Regards! I would like to know if it is possible to design buildings with viscous fluid dampers in robot or seismic friction dampers

      Hi there! I am not familiar with the use of viscous fluid dampers in Robot...You should ask the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis forum. They will have answers for you sir!

    Hey my friend! thank you for teaching me robot .... but now I have to understand the earthquake loading! i am following your instructions but i get 85% mass participation for 200 modes .... i don't know what i should do! The design is 1 storey at the moment with i have pinned connections , is there something that i have to look ? like a common mistake ? also do you have any other videos that you can proposed for the earthquake loading ? or can you make one that is more detailed ? thank you very much !!!!

    Thank you very much for the video, I found it extremely useful.
    May I ask you if you know how to perform modal analysis in Robot, when the center of mass is outside of the structure? Do we have to connect the COM with rigid links?
    For the modal I want the stiffness to be added by the surrounding steel braced frame and the mass by the stored equipment kit.

    Saludos ingeniero! Me gustaría saber como puedo realizar un análisis estático con la norma de mi país la cual no esta presente en el software. Es muy similar al método que explica en este vídeo sin embargo, no se el tipo de análisis que debo definir para ingresar las combinaciones de cargas para el método de la fuerza lateral equivalente el cual usted explica en este vídeo.

      Hi there! I am going to respond in English. My Spanish is solely based on "La Casa de Papel" and, has you can imagine, is really bad!
      You need the define the spectrum of your country, on a .txt file and then "call it" inside Robot.
      The best think you could do is to ask for help down the forum. There will be a lot of people to help you.

      You will have to define your spectrum. Then you will have to do a modal-spectral analysis. You could do it in Robot.

    Hi Nuno! Do you think is there any chance of doing a non linear analysis in robot?

      Hi there. Robot is good when we are talking about linear elastic analysis. Non linear analysis in Robot is possible, but very limited. What kind of non linear analysis are you interested?

      @@nunoteixeira-robotstructur8358 Thanks for answering me. A static pushover to verify the vulnerability of the building to a seimic solicitation. I mean I think it's impossible in robot to know when a pier or beam enters their plastic form...

      @@cyper89 Robot is not meant to do that kind of analysis. You will have to define the location of plastic hinges, and other parameters. But you could always ask on the forum.
