For what it's worth, I really like the design of Silco's office.... Classic villain lair vibes. And then, you notice the painted cup that Powder/Jinx painted sitting on the desk. The animators do such a good job in environmental storytelling, i.e. in using the background and environment to help communicate elements of the story.
Nah don't feel silly at all. It got many reactors and probably many viewers as well. Jinx unfortunately suffers from a few mental issues due to the trauma she's gone through. And to be technical about Powder/Jinx her issues have always been there from the beginning. On the bridge scene, they show "scratches," which is Powder's way of blocking out bad things or seeing things differently. And episode 3 is always interesting, because it's curious how well "they sold" that she has mental issues to audiences. But she obviously has severe abandonment issues because of losing their parents. Added with her messing up and then getting PTSD. Added with Silco who obviously isn't a morally good character. Now he has his motivations, but he's one of those where the ends justify the means. Jinx is basically her trauma response to all that she has dealt with, and it includes dissociative identity disorder, PTSD, survivor guilt, and some Psychosis. @sailorkaylax
It seems that we have a time jump of 6 or 7 years here and the Hextec has improved many lives and the Shimmer became very consumed downstairs, Powder became Jinx and that scared girl was far away to become a complete fighter from the slums thanks to his ingenuity (which Vi had highlighted would one day work) Jace became the face of progress much in contrast to his previous reception when he was expelled now everyone is waiting to see him, Victor on the other hand just stays behind the scenes and he seems to have deteriorated in health although he does not want to have that recognition in front of people. Caitlyn, our character who leads the plot, investigates and finds Vi, who was locked up in prison. In a certain aspect we must remember in ep 2 that when Jace goes to see Caitlyn, she is the one who is locked up and here her hands are tied in her own work following orders, a golden cage and now he finds Vi who was also locked up a long time ago, do you think that Will they team up?
One thing I don’t see a ton of people talk about with this episode is the fact that Jinx kills 11 people, 5 firelights and 6 enforcers, in one day and I don’t think that is her record. It is a great way of showing how dangerous she actually is she just casually kills 11 people in less than 24 hours and no one seems surprised. Silco is more mad about the enforcers because it might draw attention to them
It's almost criminal how amazing they are at ending each episode at a moment you CRAVE more. The animators have put so much time and love into each episode. There's little things hidden in frames all over the place that people find rewatching it again and again. You can feel the love the creators had for this show.
Hello, without a doubt this new character or not so new since he already appeared in episode 2 seems like a rebellious version of her society on the other side of the bridge, very similar to Vi in that sense, going against her duties by doing the opposite of what they ask of her . She doesn't seem to have many friends and with Jayce, well, that sarcasm between them is typical of brothers or cousins. According to the creators, Caytlin was 16 in act 1 and now she is 22. Vi's cell has no windows so it is underground, meaning Marcus put her there to forget about it. As soon as she saw the other prisoner, they recognized each other instantly. Regarding Victor, well, you would have already noticed his deteriorating state of health, but he doesn't seem to like the idea of exposing himself to the public. Heimerdinger seems surprised how Jinx's hand reached Piltover, it's not like Jinx kills people but crosses the river to do it and the Firelight seem like an anti-Silco rebel group. All the League of Legends lore is being rewritten in Arcane, there are things that were added and others that were removed, so don't take it as a 100% reference.
22:35 Regarding the plan to shut the Hex Gates down.... It's completely understandable why the Councilors balked at the idea. Yes, the local population's safety should be a priority. However, shutting the gate would severely disrupt trade. What would have normally taken a short trip via the gate would overnight suddenly now become a months-long journey. Imagine a remote settlement suddenly getting cut off, with its next shipment of vital food and medicine being delayed for months without warning or time to prepare. To use a real world example, anyone else remember back in 2021 when the Suez Canal got completely blocked by that one ship and all the chaos it caused? All because shipping was completely blocked for just a few days? 😬😬
Yea its like a just "comercial problem" if the Rich people can breakfast bread and butter to the citizen of street don't have directly bread and Milk and that for piltover low and midle class tou can imagine for the zaunites
Honestly it makes a lot of sense that so many people mistake the Firelights girl for Vi; after all, we're witnessing the scene mostly through Powder's eyes, and that's what she thought she saw.
He makes great points, but like they said he's stuck in the past and doesn't see the city for what it currently is, especially as the leader of the council.
Truth to tell, Caitlyn might be my favorite character. Among other things, I'm partial to detectives. On top of her many other qualities. Butthe competition is stiff. There are many wonderful characters in this show.
11:24 Regarding Caitlyn's Enforcer uniform..... Yes, the outfit slays. But also _wholly_ impractical for actual policework though. 😁😁 22:17 After all these years and that Councilor _still_ hasn't solved that puzzle that was meant for children. 😂😂
It's probably a "parade" uniform, used for show in situations like just standing around at a fair for instance. We see that other enforcers (male and female) have more practical uniforms when they're doing actual police work.
Just wanted to say I found your channel through Arcane reactions and thoroughly enjoying them, as I have caught up on your other videos.
