    Walking, chewing gum and breathing - for me that that is often a challenge. I cannot fathom how you remain focused, so pleasant, wirewrap cabochons without cussing ... muchless stay in-frame. You and Randy are resilient. You revamped your business when the pandemic changed our world. Many big corporations folded. You 2 continue to thrive and grow. I see no reason to question your choices - obviously they are all winning decisions. Much respect and appreciation for all you do. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

    Try sharpening your cutters by cutting through 6 to 8 layers of aluminum foil folded up together.
    That's how you sharpen scissors, it works really well. You just cut 6 to 8 cuts through 8 layers of foil, it'll sharpen your scissors/cutters.

      Thank you, Dana! Practice makes progress, and we often see the flaws in our own work more prominently than in the work of others! Be kind and patient with yourself and you'll get where you want to go

    I love this!!!! I’ve made something similar in hoop earrings but love the idea of putting a cab and turning it into a pendant…love the mixed wire too. I’ve done the braid with silver and red that turned out gorgeous. Your teaching method is so encouraging!!!!! Important to have that calming voice when I get frustrated trying to mirror what you’re doing!! Just ordered the kit and can’t wait to get it!!!!!

    I think it would make an awesome Bracelet mixing up the wires like you did the Pendant. I think it is awesome that you are into pretty much all the crafts that I am into ,I paint Crochet and have Made many of my daughters clothes (When they were little) and my granddaughters also .I do not Knit though . I am a self taught sewist and self taught crocheter ,Self taught painter I have been Gardening, sewing ,and crocheting since I was around 17 -18 yrs . i have way too many houseplants and will try and send you more as I can .It is hare to be able to get to the post office as i do not drive anymore .My car died out and my feller will not allow me to drive anymore. Wish we lived close to you so I could share more i would probably Bug you so much that you would hide and not open your door LOL

    I was wondering how long did you cut each of the wires for the cabochon?
    Thank you for your hard work. I'm glad you took a break for a while. We all need that.

    I agree about expensive wire snips not always being the best. I have two pairs of xuron snips and they are rubbish compared to my £5 random Amazon brand ones that were designed for electronics. Not always worth paying out for the “premium brands”

    Why don't you start at one end, instead of the middle?

    • @backtoearthcreations
      @backtoearthcreations  Год назад +1

      I start in the middle so the number of wires is doubled when I fold it, and I fold it to make a loop for the bracelet or bail. For a bracelet we could just cut twice as many wires at half the length and finish the ends off differently; this may be easier, especially if we didn't have access to a clamp.
