COM1 utilizes optical technology to create organic compression for guitar players.
The Sustain control lets you determine the amount of compression - easily and on the fly. Rather than smashing your guitar tone to bits, COM1 gives you better control regardless of whether the situation calls for that squashy sound of clean Hendrix or tight Niles Rodgers funk.
COM1 is not designed to completely remove your attack, but rather it enhances your guitar signal to make it work perfectly in the larger context of a band mix.
Further, COM1 is housed in a rugged steel chassis that is built to withstand the challenges of extensive daily use and continuous touring. We have carefully selected all components to ensure superior sonic qualities, minimal noise, and reliable use for years and years.
