I'm loving the look of Civ 7. I know it is a bit darker than Civ 6, but I love the classy, rich look.
Thank you very much Ursa
I'm actually really looking forward to the changing of civilizations. I feel like that is going to add so much more verity to every game.
Still a lot of grey I hope they add some color like in CIV 6 there is a decent amount of color in the menus
Heya loving the stream. I was wondering if you'd consider changing the background colour when streaming. It's quite hard to read the stream chat against a yellow background. 💛
Missed the stream but here for the VOD, Huzzah!
Love your videos Ursa
combat reminds me of heroes of might and magic. the way only the heroes level up and picks up troops/creatures.
Enjoyed watching this with you and especially your very reasonable and even-handed thoughts on the response to the game. I think they've done some really great things and I'm curious to see how it all works together!
I haven't time to watch entire streams so I'm working through your recap section. Something I am wondering if it has been answered yet, will Commanders work as naval and land commanders, or will there be admirals as well? And will the naval AI be improving so it is functional and capable?
Edit- love what you had to say about reactions and words like hate. I've made a conscious choice not to use it unless I mean it, and my life is better.
This game 🎮 comes out right after my birthday 🎂
A lot of the sound effects and music have a civ 4 vibe
sweet!
On multiple versions of a civ the UK route would likely be something like...
Celt>Anglo Saxon/Norman >Tudor>United Kingdom(?) as the default path?
I'm actually quite curious what Western modern age civs would be called, would it be the current way countries are named?
The game looks fun. There are some things that are better than previous civs and make the game more interesting but there are also so many choices they made that just don't make sense to me. Like building improvements before the tech is unlocked. How could you build a pasture if you didn't understand what animal husbandry is?
62k huzzah!!
Do you think the Norse will benefit from having a source of horse?
Generals get updates like a FarCry hero :)
Huzzah!
huzzah!
HUZZAH!!
You speak german?
Well, danke für deine Videos❤
This looks like racing with a pace car the entire time.
Lot of gameplay borrowed from other titles. CrusaderKings. Etc
53:22 - 53:49 "There's an upside to not being able to chop for wonders anymore and that is you can still buy buildings with gold..."
wut?
Excuse me, I don't follow. So what you're saying is, hey this thing that was really crucial to the way you played the game, you've lost it, but don't worry, something else completely unrelated that you used to do, you still can.
How, is that, "an upside"? I don't understand the logic here. Its not new to buy buildings and its also rarely relevant to building wonders (outside maybe the IZ buildings and the shipyard). Its just loss, like so much else. Like no more bartering table. No more domestic trade routes for growth. You'll need to do better to convince me otherwise.
It’s basic ursa-language
I still need the leaders to look at me
I respectfully disagree. I feel that Civ VII is doubling down on a narrative journey for the Civ leader themselves as opposed to the player. It makes more sense for the leader to be addressing the other leaders than the player.
@@Viewtifulyoshi now don’t get me wrong I get what they are going for I’m just not a fan of the leaders being on my screen and not talking to me. That’s been like a core thing for me with CIV for some time as far as immersion goes for me.
@@garrettjenkins6527 Fair. Maybe they will be a mod for that option then.
love your content, but you kept talking over them and made it hard for me stay engaged
extremely minor issue but the ui is ugly. ugh. the black and gold palette looks especially unbalanced when there's so much negative space and the typeface is relatively small, compressed and with serifs. it's not very chic! it's like a visual elements are cramped into very small spaces while there's like miles of vacuum between lines of text or icons. meanwhile some icons are fcking huge.
Huzzah!
