They did a great job respenting her model and expression of who and what she is. You can take a character that has no sexuality and make an artistic expression of them that is while keeping all their personality and characteristics and to do that while staying distinctly true to their own art style and creative expression is what art literally is. I just don't like how it eclipsed everything else that was more appropriate for everyone, but that ain't the artists fault.
