There are two types of main dancers, the flashy main dancer(Hyunjin, Momo) and the technique based main dancer(Minho, Mina)
If the second main dancer is put in the centre, then the dance would look awkward JUST because of the differences in techniques, I do hope she gets another solo dance project tho because I'm pretty sure none of Itzy's songs do Chae's dance styles justice

ITZY are the queens of dance break tbh. They are the one who popularised it even MORE because they went viral from it. You can see clearly that before ITZY debut, girls groups didn't have very hard choreo like ITZY had. This is why they are the standards !!
edit: Just to clarify, i have never said that Dance break didn't existed before ITZY debut. I said that itzy make it more popular and harder among GG. You can see now that at least every gg did one because of the impact that itzy debut had. Even gg choreos became harder since Itzy debut. I KNOW that SNSD did it, but like i said, it wasn't as common as it is rn. While rn, almost every 4th gen grp did a dance break.

Ever since 2019, you can see that more kpop groups started doing it after itzy debuted. It did exist before them? YES but there wasn't a lot of kpop groups who did it.
SSOTS still has the best dance break for me like picking Chaeyeon for the center was the best decision
