How often do people fiddle with the settings on their monitor to care about how easy it is with the given controls?

Why aren't there many reviews for this monitor? Nobody talks about this monitor I don't see many ips monitors at this resolution that can get to this refresh rate. Is it actually an IPS or AOCs IPS-Like VA panel? I also wonder how these monitors retain such value despite being on the market for over 2 yeas now.

You should have way more subs. I like how you go more in-depth than a lot of reviews and get straight to each point.

Hi, In my country, India Acer XB271HU is coming at a good price. I am considering that. Any other suggestions, I am looking for good 1440p monitor, with good display quality. I dont play competitive games, mostly good AAA titles, such as tomb raider, resident evil etc. I am looking a monitor for gaming and media consumption. My card is GTX 1080.

U can't find this for a reasonable price in India. The acer xb271hu is cheap in india. Rs 47500 in amazon.in.

is this still fast enough for online competitive gaming compared to the new fast and nano ips gaming monitors.

I know you asked this 8 months ago but whatever this will be nice for anyone coming across this video to know about.
Considering this monitor is G-SYNC Certified and non of the 27in 1440p Nano IPS panel monitors are, then I'd rather have a variable refresh rate that goes all the way down to 1hz so you never see screen tearing or get increased input lag and variable overdrive that keeps ghosting to an absolute minimum across the whole hz range along with it instead of worrying over a singular metric, the advertised 4ms vs 1ms of gray to gray response time. These values are really just used as a marketing ploy anyways, seeing as you have to use the strongest overdrive mode which results in inverse ghosting to get these response times, but also...
There are yet more sticking points associated with it... Many of the Nano IPS panels with the new fangled wide colour gamut don't make the use of anti motion blur modes look good thanks to the KSF Red Phosphor used with them, which ends up ruining the 1ms response time, LOL! If you are into the types of games where your eyes don't stay focused in the middle of the screen, then you should not want this inferior thing.
      blurbusters.com/beautiful-red-phosphor-in-new-1ms-ips-1440p-lcds-interferes-with-blur-reduction-badly/
It also makes colour clamping to sRGB a fair bit, finnicky and not so colour accurate here and there.

Nor do I want to be paying for piss poor HDR performance, if you want HDR then get investing in a monitor that can do it proper justice.
So in my opinion given all of the above... A 27in 1440p IPS, G-SYNC Certified with top notch factory colour calibration, very damn close to 100% sRGB coverage, all of the features it has working brilliantly and absolute minimal artifacting is the next best thing vs forking out for say... this QD-OLED monitor.

Especially when I picked this beast of a monitor up for only £370 in 2022 on a last in stocks sale, I was like YEP am having that. Sure I have locked myself into Nvidia GPU's to get the best out of it, but I don't mind that when their GPU's are currently well ahead of AMD's with ray tracing performance and upscaling image quality.
Am not a fanboy, this is just how it is. :)

What do you think of the viewsonic one. It has 1440p 165hz 27" 4ms gsync and ips. I feel like that one is better but I don't entirely know.
