The joke abt the Asian name had me laughing for 5 minutes straight bc it’s so specific and funny and I too am an Asian with friends more Asian than me and with similar names 😭😭😭 it just caught me so off guard
Same here, though I don’t know about the rest of y’all, I haven’t really watched her in 20 odd years. I never laughed harder than her Gwen bit from I’m the One that I Want special.
Oh Margaret you are so brilliant as always. I have tears in my eyes from laughing again and you make me very thoughtful at the same time. You are just great! Thank you for being there!!!! Hugs and Greetings from Germany !
Well I'm a generation that will never forget Margaret Cho. She exposed the insanity of Asian Life, her mother. LOL Always Quality Laughs when !Moran! is on screen.
She's right, Asian women are indeed unaware how beautiful they are... which is one of the main reasons why they line up to let themselves cut up into this uniform K-Pop style and/or drench themselves in unhealthy "skin products". (when unaltered and with little to no makeup is clearly the best)
I liked the episodes of Fresh off the Boat that I got to see. They managed to do some old stories well, and did some new ones well. Like, the mom lying about the gift she got for her husband. She was all neurotic about it but it was handled well and wasn't played entirely for laughs
She sounds like one of these lame wokey comedians herself. Didnt laughed once. Compare this stuff to Bill Burr or Dave Chapelle and then you know why people say women cant hold a candle to men in comedy
It's cute that Margaret Cho thinks those White people don't also tell Black people how to feel about race. Though, to be fair, the example she gave is not the very best example of that: If the public gets very offended by the show's title (doesn't even have to be the Asian public!) the producers will probably get backlash. It is fair for them to have some concerns, since their names will be on it.
@@calistafalcontail I wasn’t trying to be childish in anyway. I was laughing because hypocritically I would imagine in real life who would name the person KAAAAH. That’s it.

I think you misinterpreted her act. She's actually being very anti-woke. She's poking fun at woke white people worried about offending Asians, and she's even poking fun at her own Asian stereotypes.
Yeah but that’s only because I’ve been watching her for 25 years. Hope new generation loves her as much as I did when I was in my 20s. She is still funny.

Don't worry, Margaret. They tell us Black folk how to feel about racism too. lol
