- A few quick shots from opening the iMac DV Special Edition back in 1999. The first appearance of Graphite in the iMac and the first step away from the wild colors that got everyone's attention back on Apple.
Oh, man! This takes me back to when I moved away from my parent's place to goto University. Living in my dorm room I would stay up all night on the internet on my iMac G3 400 graphite. *sigh memories*

That’s right! The copy of A Bugs Life was a unique bonus with the iMac DV.
65scribe I was so thrilled with the computer and set up experience that I sent a thank you email to Apple Canada. They sent back a t-shirt with comments on how much they enjoyed the letter. 😯 I miss business-recovery-Apple. They tried really hard to earn and keep customers.

I had the DV SE from 2001. I had it for 12 years. I just got back into them and picked up a NOS flower power 600mhz. After all these years the G3 iMac is still my favorite computer. I hope you pick up another so you can do a review, that would be great.
I now have a couple graphite DV SE iMacs from 2001, so I'll try to do a video using those. There's a lot of love for that design. You did well to get a Flower Power iMac.

I remember playing on one of these at a Sears store. It was so damn slow compared to my PC at home. Could never get over how it only had one mouse button.
Do you have an iBook Clam Shell graphite?
No, I don't have much in the way of laptops, other than the Macintosh Portable (if you can count that) and first generation Powerbooks. The graphite iBook is the one I would have bought back in the day if I was in the market for a laptop.
I found one of these for 20 dollars. too bad it is 60 miles away

right computer and box but wrong accessory box. The DV came with a pro mouse and keyboard and white power cord not a puck mouse and first gen small usb keyboard or rainbow power cord
This was a true unboxing of the first special edition iMac DV that I filmed in 1999. The nice optical mouse and full keyboard were not introduced until July 2000. I wish I had kept this iMac! Thanks for watching and commenting.

Wrong. This one came with a hocky puck. Later ones came with the pro mouse. Stop being an uniformed troll.
I just bought today (2020 😂) one with the box without accessories, and the pro keyboard doesn’t fit in the accessories box.
