2022 Point Pleasant Offshore Grand Prix Powerboat Race / Manasquan Inlet / High Speed Boat Racing

This past weekend, Point Pleasant Beach hosted the 2022 Offshore Grand Prix Powerboat Race -- Ran by the New Jersey Offshore Powerboat Racing Association (NJOPRA) and Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA.)
Watch as the offshore race begins and powerboats fly through the Manasquan Inlet. Once the boats reach the track offshore, the race is on!
Race classes: Super Cat, Vee Extreme, Stock Vee Boats, Class 1, Class 3, Class 4, Class 5, Class 6, Class 7.

Not ideal conditions, but I love seeing the racing boats. I remember back when this was the Benihana Offshore Grand Prix with boats like Team Apache and Popeye's.

Great video. I used to go to these races every year with my grandparents when it was the Benihana Grand Prix. I haven't been there in years. Sunday was a crappy day to be out there lol. Good video though
