- The day begins passing through the fertile plains of the Rio do Castro through small towns like Vilanova, Codesos and Rebordelo.
In the last of them we turn to the east and we are already in the Concello de Dumbría, moving a little further away from the river but finding beautiful tributary streams that follow one after the other as we go up the valley.
Bustelo, Piñeiros, Truitín or Buxán will be the housing entities that will appear between the countryside and the ambushed paths until we reach the place of A Grixa, where we make a stop to contemplate the Church of Santa Baía.
The Camino turns north towards Berdeogas, a beautiful enclave on the banks of the river of the same name, which houses an interesting temple dedicated to Santiago and a valuable carballeira.
In this place we will have lunch on the one hand, and on the other hand we will begin the hardest part of the day, caused mainly by the intense heat of the day, one of the strongest of the year.
By the AC-442 road we will pass from the Concello de Dumbría to Vimianzo and then a local track will lead us to Romar, where this variant meets the one coming from Muxía.
The last kilometers will sail parallel to the asphalted artery AC-441, a road that we will feel very close as we incorporate the surrounding trails that take on the profiles of the Montes da Croa and da Tella.
Almost if you already have energy, we appreciate the final downhill section that goes through the valley of Rego de Cabral away a little more traffic and that introduce us to the goal of today, Baíñas, where we will conclude the day with a visit to the Church of Santo Antoíño.

En Galicia entre el calor y la humedad vaya tela menudo esfuerzo de ruta el cementerio muy curioso la verdad

Muchas gracias Armando! Fue el peor día de calor que lo hizo todo más difícil, pero lo superamos 💪
Que curioso los nichos de colores... esta jornada mucho asfaltado para la calor que hace...ufff
Ahora ha mejorado mucho el trazado abriéndose sendas de monte que evitan tramos de asfalto. Con todo, este fue el día más caluroso de todo el verano y nosotros no acabamos nunca temprano las etapas 😅, lo que a veces nos obliga a caminar en horas inadecuadas. Gracias Sergio!
