One time I was on the bus and I was wearing light colored jeans and I already knew I leaked so I tried to use my jacket.... I had to sit in the aisle seat(the outside of the seat spot) and I got up and there was a big red spot! A boy about a year older was sitting next to me so it was embarrassing! He asked me if I needed a pad/tampon and pulled out one of each from his bag and offered them to me... Turns out he has 8 sisters over the age of 10 so he keeps his bag stocked cause he knows how it is!!
I got my first in my favorite teachers class while I was getting help after school. I got up to go to the bathroom and we both noticed red on the chair and I got really confused but then it hit me that I got it. The next thing I knew my teacher went to her purse and got me a pad. When I got back to the room I had tears In my eyes and was apologizing profusely (she kept telling me it was no big problem and that I should not feel bad) and then she gave me a hug and called my parents. It was embarrassing but I still love that teacher
I only have a dad. I got my period the first time when we were at a hotel. I just said " ummm DAD! Somethings happend" he just said " noooooo! Please! God im not ready for this!" 😂 and he went and bought me some pads and when he came back he was like " trust me on this, okay?! Remember i was with your mom since she was 14. Put on your sweatpants, a tank top and your flip flops and lets go" so then he took me to the store and bought $38 on chocolate, gummy candy and ice cream for the both of us and then pizza. Mind you i was 10 and he was 27.
I was around 12 when I first had my period. The day before it happened, I had a dream that I was laying on my bed watching Full House when I would notice that I started. Well I stayed home from school the next day because I was sick and y'all, I was laying in bed watching Full House when my period was like, "Hiiiiii." It was like a real life episode of That's So Raven. It was nuts.
Mariah Bailey OMG THATS CRAZY my bestfriend had something like that she had a vision for a 3 days she would be in school and it will start and 3 days later it happened
Mariah Bailey dude that happened to a couple of my friends and my sister! One day my sister was like I had a dream that I started next thing you know blood on the couch
very very true. its also the only thing that can actually make me crack up laughing more than those try not to laugh videos, and most of the time i don't even laugh at those
Am I the only guy that always have at least 2 pads in their bag every day? My mom always encourage me to do that, because I have many girl friends, so if they forgot to bring theirs, I can just give em one of mine, so they won't panic, especially in places like college.
Awh guys, thanks you all for being so kind. I always think that is kinda common sense tho, especially if the guy have girlfriend. And my mom always tell me that if I have wife/daughter I should always bring it too. Just in case haha.
DREAMQ100 same when I was 10 my mom was explaining what I could use and how to use them and when she talked about tampons I was terrified even today hearing how you put it in just makes me squirm
I'm a junior in high school and i went to the restroom and I saw that I had my period, I was pissed and I didn't bring a tampon or anything so I had to go back to class ask my friend for a tampon and then tell my US History teacher who is a very attractive young guy! And I said "I'm having an issue I need to go" and he said "what?" And I repeated myself a little bit slower and said "I'm having an issue I need to go" and the horror on his face he was like "Oh, yeah you can go" so embarrassing
I got my first period during science and i was embarrassed and my teacher asked me if i was okay and i said no she then told me to go to the nurse then the nurse told me that i could call my mom to go home when i went to tell the teacher she asked me why and i had to explain that i got my period and the next day someone told me they heard me talking with the teacher and i was soo embarrassed
You have the right to leave class because women have the right to deal with their own personal hygiene. If a teacher gets mad because you left you CANNOT get in trouble for dealing with your own personal problem.
when I was younger I was on a training trip across the US for swimming when I was in middle school so I was just with my team and I got my first period and I had to use a tampon THE FIRST DAY I GOT IT and during swimming I was leaking and I realized it was to small so I had to wait in the locker room for my MALE coach to get me A BIGGER sized tampon And HE WAS THE ONE WHO TOLD ME HOW TO USE IT OML
I have a really heavy flow, so my periods were crippling. I would miss school when I was younger, and even miss work. Once I tried the Diva Cup, I never went back. It honestly gave me control of my life back. It says 12 hours to change, when in reality it's closer to 2 hours at the max for me. It honestly is fantastic and helps with cramps, too. It was super terrifying to use the first time, though. I had to talk myself up in the bathroom for a good 15 minutes, lol
I want to try the cup too, but im afraid that it will leak trough the day... Like in my work where I need to pick up things, sit, stand up, walk. Im afraid that the cup somehow crack sideways and everything that was in there just go out like volcano. Need to try this but maybe when im sure ill be home all day.
KiKiLoVedOnO yes diva cups are amazing and are literally the best thing it only takes two changes during the day and done. Glad u have that freedom again
the diva cup stays secure because of suction. fold it to get it in and let it unfold. adjust you get a good seal, this part can take practice, and you're good till you can empty it. I wouldn't try to do this in a bathroom that you have to share the sink. to take the cup out you have to break the seal otherwise the suction only gets stronger the more you pull. that hurts. super reusable but does have a learning curve getting it in right and taking it out.
Lea Kovacic don't be! In my opinion I think they are way better than pads. My first ever period I had to use one because I had swim practice right after I got it and I was totally fin
I just turned 13. I've had my period for 3 years now. I recently started using the diva cup and I've never used a tampon. To me the diva cup is a lot less intimidating because it's more flexible. It's better for the environment and so easy to use and u can feel anything. I love it
How do you remove it? I tried it and it was so hard for me to get out! I was so scared that we would have to call the fire department or get it surgically removed. I was also disappointed because I was looking forward to not having to deal with it at school and I wanted to do something good for the planet:-(
When i got my period the first time it was when we were changing for my gym and in i had to use the bathroom i close the stall pulled my pants done and there was blood everywhere!! When i thought it couldnt get worse i didnt lock the door stall right and a girl walked in and just saw my bloody mess before me.... she slid me a tampon under the stall though so i was like thanks?
I got my period when I was 12, and my mom wasn't around (she passed away the year before) so I had to have that conversation with my dad. I chickened out and asked one of my older friends to give me tampons. That went on for almost 7 months, and we were acting like it was a drug deal. Looking back, that was hilarious.
LA Myers Dudes view should have a continuation to then what was talked in the last episode of dude view, the girls in “lady life” should do a vid one that lady episode
Erin Robinson divacup.com/how-it-works/how-it-works/ Practice really is key. Also there are many types of menstrual cups to choose from. The diva cup may not be the right shape or firmness for everyone.
Erin Robinson Essentially you fold it and insert it, then it kinda "pops" open. There's teeny holes at the top near the rim that creates a suction, so it stays in place. Then to remove it, you pinch the bottom to release the suction and pull it out. Then you can dump it out into the toilet and rinse it out or wipe it out with toilet paper or a moist wipe. Then it's good to reinsert. That's the super abridged version. Haha How you fold and insert really depends on you and your body. But there's a TON of videos and articles with a lot of really great info and instructions! It can be a little overwhelming and daunting at first. It takes a little practice, and I will say you DEFINITELY have to be/get really comfortable with your body. But I definitely recommend trying it. Once you've got the hang of it, it really makes your periods a lot easier to deal with!
They're seriously amazing. The first time you use one it will be scary, and it will probably take a couple tries, but the information that the Diva Cup company provides is actually helpful, so I would recommend getting familiar with it before you start. For insertion they show two fold styles, one that's sort of U-shaped, and one that is more like a cone (hard to describe). Everyone is different, but my preference has been the 2nd version, as it's a little more gradual. Like other people have been saying, to remove it you have to insert a finger to break suction. The last thing I think you need to be aware of is insertion on the first day of your period is almost always a little uncomfortable, but every day afterwards is super easy and I almost forget it's even in there! I think ultimately if you are really comfortable with tampons trying a menstrual cup is a great next step. They last a long time and they can be left in for up to 12 hours, which can really ease your worries if you are like me and frequently forget about the 8hr time limit on tampons. It does seem scary, but we were all scared of tampons before we used them, but we got over that and menstrual cups are the same in that way.
Erin Robinson Essentially you fold it to insert it, then once it is in you can twist it to form a seal and may have to put a finger in to circle the cup and make sure it unfolded. That's really it! It's easy for me to just pull it out and it's very comfortable to wear.
I got my period at lunch on the day before the last day of school. I was walking back from the microwave when I felt something weird. I sat down and I told my best friend sitting next to me, and she didn’t believe me. Then I started leaking and we both freaked out. We both got up without asking and ran out the door of the cafeteria. We both ran to the bathroom and, of course, neither on of us had a pad/tampon/ literally anything.🤦🏼♀️ So I stuck what felt like half a roll of toilet paper in my underwear. My best friend gave me her jacket and I wrapped it around my waist and we ran to the nurse. At this point I was hyperventilating thinking that I was going to die. I had dreaded wearing a pad and swore to myself to never ever use one because it grossed me out. We walked into the nurse’s office, tell her what happened, and she gave me a PAD! I was devastated. As soon as I got home (which was like 8 because I had a pizza party and church after school) I told my mom to buy me tampons or I wasn’t using anything. Luckily I got my way and haven’t used a pad since (except at night, goodness I hate those things). TMI, I know but, it seems fitting 😂
chelsea maria if you pull them out at an angle no. Be sure to stay relaxed while you are taking the tampon out. Don’t try to push it out (if that makes sense) Don’t be scared of Tampa’s because it’ll just make your experience worse. The best tip that I can give is to put it in at an angle and take it out the same way😊
Lydia_ Ann same I wore a pad for my first period and then I was like “hell no I can’t deal with the drip”and my friends thought I was gross for using tampons
The diva cup was a LIFESAVER for me. I have very very big periods (I had to wear adult dippers to bed because anything else was just not enough). Although it does have a little learning curve (suction is NOT fun), once i knew how to use it, which took about 2 periods, it was perfect in every way. It never leaked, the period smell was completely gone (!!!!!), and it didn't feel like you had anything at all, so more comfortable than a tampon (cause at least for me, when mine got too soaked they moved around and got uncomfortable). I would just take it out in the shower twice a day (second shower was really quick, just for that purpose and I was good to go). Honestly, it's such a life changer. You'll also save soooo much in the long term. 200% would recommend.
I've had my period for 19 years I stopped caring if anyone sees me buying or carrying my pads to the bathroom. I hate tampons. I can never get them in right and they always leak. I'm 32 and I use pads. Screw tampons.
I used to care so much when I was a young teen (like 13-15 years old) but as I have gotten older I give no fucks. Walk in the store and will gladly buy a sole box of tampons even with the cashier being a dude or just grab my tampon from my purse and walk to the bathroom in front of people; it's whatever.
KarshayDee right, like I've been bleeding for almost 2 decades I just don't care anymore. My downstairs neighbor whos still in high school gives me dirty looks and I'm like bitch please I've been bleeding longer then you've been breathing.
CrownedLily Honestly someone shaming you for a natural thing is fucking stupid. Dirty looks for not wanting to bleed all over the place? Lmao. Grow up.
The day I started my period in 5th grade. I went home with my pants filled with toilet paper. Then I told my mom to come to the bathroom she came into the bathroom and I told her I seen blood down there and she started crying and I was like "what did I do?" The she said "my baby is growing up." Then I said "what do I do?" She told me we'd buy some pads and I LEGIT thought they were writing pads. I thought to myself "why do I need to write this down?". 😂😂😂😂
omg i got my period right before a running marathon in 5th grade and my mom was like: Flora, did you sit on a marker? i didnt know that i had started my period and i had a spot. i started screaming and started to panic and my mom started to cry.. i asked her why she was crying and she said that im growing up too fast, i told her to suck it up and help me. she started laughing and she helped. im thankful and i always laugh whenever i think of this because when i started to panic, 2 minutes later i was so calm and my mom was going to burst into tears. 😂😂😂😂😂
Cindy_York98 I got mine in the summer going into fifth grade and I even swam with it but the actual one came in October of that year and my mom went into turbo mom mode and got literally TWENTY boxes of pads
Diva cups are the best thing ever for me. Not as intimidating as you'd think. It has a learning curve but it's too bad. I never struggle to get it out as long as I'm sitting on the toilet and make sure you break the suction or else you will struggle. Give it a try Lilly!
I use a yuuki cup (not sure that's how it's spelled) and it's so amazing. I used pads before, because I was just scared that tampons are very harmful to you. Taking out can be difficult especially with long nails 😅. It didn't take long for me to learn not to just pull it out, but use the hotdog method. I would honestly recommend cups to anyone.
The thing that grosses me out is not actually wearing one I think it would be fine but emptying it. Especially if it's a days worth. Is that something you had to get past ?
+rabbittricks I personally got over the "gross" factor pretty quickly, but I think it helps to just be generally comfortable with everything down there, and it gets a lot less gross if you just think of it as part of your body. plus it's not like its poop or anything.
When I was 10 I somehow cut myself down there and started bleeding and my mom thought I had my period. Then a few months later when I turned 11 I actually got it but I was so convinced I just cut myself that I started crying cuz I felt like I was a disappointment. In my religion, girls have the option of having a Womaning ceremony where older bleeding women bestow gifts and impart wisdom on the new maiden. I was dressed head to toe in red, decked in gold plated jewelry and as a bonus was henna'd all over (because my mom is a henna artist). It was awesome and I wish more girls had that experience. It was nice to feel like becoming a woman was a magical thing instead of a horrible secret (which is what my friends were taught)
Raina Pope damn that sounds awesome I got mine in school then had to come home and awkwardly explain to my sister what a period was and tell my dad where his response was ok well I know your only going to tell your mom but if you need anything I’m here!!
Lol my mom just felt bad for me and told me sorry. She said she didn't really want to have daughters because she didn't want us to go through that. She ended up having two.
real talk: i was also scared but it has like a pretty long string, so you can pull it out if its too much for you. And honestly tampons are a life-changing thing.
Emily Harper I was really scared to wear one. but if you change it regularly (like 2-3 hours) then it's fine it comes out easy. toxic shock syndrome rarely happens unless you leave it in for over 12 hours
I fucking love my menstrual cup. I use a Meluna cup. It's awesome. The brand comes in so many sizes, textures, and shapes to customize to your body. Sorry to sound like a commercial. I just love it so much. Especially because I feel like it's more comfortable than tampons.
eruzaus I have a diva cup, but it was too long for me so I now ordered a Lunette, so Ill see how it goes. I dont think its hard to put in or take out tho.
I agree, just shows that they aren't comfortable with that yet. Maybe they will when they get older. Or care about the environment. Or becomes more bold. Anyway, yes, it's for sure sad, since so many people watches and could get interested, now maybenow will think it isn't a good idea. It's important to be good role models. But you gotta be yourself too...
Rainbow Skittles Llamacorn me too! I'm quite disappointed - this could really have made a difference and given alot of young girls confidence and all they did was piss about!
LOL, just because they don't like them and they clearly didn't work for them, doesn't mean they are bad role models..... They have their opinions and the other things they tried didn't work and they gave their opinion and in regards to all that environment stuff, I know its bad, but the thought of reusable pads freaks me and properly a lot of people out, it seems so gross.
I'm 14 and I use a menstrual cup, I am only 4 foot 8 inches. So for anyone who is worried about it not fitting or being too big please don't. menstrual cups are such an amazing alternative to pads or tampons they don't leak they are better for the environment and the best part you can leave them in for 12 hours! Please look into it I know it seems different and scary but it doesn't hurt to see what it is all about
Unless your parents have a serious concern about you using tampons it's all up to you. You get to choose when you're ready and no one can pressure you or tell you otherwise. It's your body. And I know the first few years are scary, but It gets easier. I'd recommend a period tracker app or marking it down on a calendar so it's easier to remember when it's due. Although, the first year or two aren't usually very steady and can be really difficult to track.
The length of the vaginal canal slightly correlates with height of the person and the width is the opposite, means when the person gets shorter it gets wider, and I think the length doesn't have anything to do with fitting a diva cup. Thought sizes varies, but if you are taller than average there is a bigger possibility of having difficulty with this.
Estella Marshall They are made out of medical grade silicone. Like what they make the outer portion of breast implants with. Breast implants are in bodies for way longer than 12 hours. I've never tried a diva cup... But it's because of my utter disgust of touching the blood/having to retrieve it and rinse it out each time. 😷
I got my period when I was 11 and used pads at first. With 12 years I started to use tampons and now I‘m using the diva cup. The diva cup is so much better than tampons. I have a heavy flow and the diva cup is just much more trustful.
On the Diva Cup - I've used them for years cause they're far more sustainable - I've never had experiences of them overflowing or anything, and generally feel much more secure with them than tampons. To remove it - no nice way to say this - you just have to slide another finger up there to break the suction. It's so scary at first, but I would definately reccomend it to everyone!
Agreed! Love my Diva Cup. It's defitniely awkward the first few times (best to try it out on a lazy day or 2 at home). Worth it though. You can kind of just go about your regular day without feeling like you have your period (if not for the cramps). I LOVE it for swimming/the beach. I feel way less vulnerable. I probably wouldn't recommend it to someone who isn't comfortable with tampons, first. One awkward step at a time...
Claire Macaulay I can remove my diva cup without putting a finger in there to break the seal, I usually just pinch the bottom of the cup (just where the tail joins the cup) and twist and pull out.
Started using a cup after years of horrible bleeding and passing out. My first period with a menstrual cup has gotten rid of that all. I bleed about half as much. I NEVER leak. I can swim, run and rough house with my kids without feeling the cup. I can't go back. Best thing ever.
Kawaii it's because of all the chemicals from the disposable products I was using. Having such a heavy flow meant I was using prob twice as many products during my period(I bough pons at Costco because it was so heavy) plus my periods lasted 2 weeks at a time. I went to an OB from the time I was 14 because I had all the symptoms of endometriosis but I didn't actually have it. They couldn't ever figure out the issue. I even had a procedure where they put a camera in my uterus but still couldn't figure out what was going on. But once I started using cups and cloth pads I haven't had an issue. My period is 6 days now instead of 2 weeks.
I found out I had 2 holes when I was really little I was taking a bath with my sister and my mom was helping us wash up and I was washing down there and I found it and was like "mom I found a hole!"
I had been reading the leaflet inside the box of my Mom's tampons for YEARS by the time I got my period at 13! I was READY TO DOOOO THIIIIS. Popped one in and went out to dinner with my family. It was almost 6 months before my Mom even noticed her supply was running out faster than usual and asked if I had started.
I’m actually dying! My mum made me use tampons at the age of 11. I’m a dancer so it helps a lot. You don’t feel them so they’re really useful. The only thing is, you don’t feel it do you could accidentally put 2 up... never done that and don’t want to
Diva cups are lifesaving. I change it every 10 or 12 hours and it never gets even halfway full. I can't imagine it overflowing, but even if it did it wouldn't leak because it seals. 20 out of 10 recommend!!!
DancesWithBeauty yes, they last up to ten years treated properly, I've had mine for 4 years now and it's amazing. starts a little scary until you know your body then it's nothing, same deal as the first time using a tampon
rxxrcousin yea you just rinse with warm to hot water then do a deep clean every few months by either boiling it putting it in the dish washer or using sex toy cleaner since it is made for items to be put into a place that is pretty sensitive to Jerms and such
Was 100% grossed out/skeptical of the diva cup prior to using myself - my roommate had one. When I tried it, I was hooked: way better for the environment, pain-free (sometimes I have discomfort from tampons), NO LEAKS EVER, and you can wear it for double the length - 8-12 hours. Which means you can change it at home, never at work. It's awesome.
Lane H. I'm about to get one. I used a diaphragm as birth control before kids because hormones and I don't like each other. So it seems very much the same concept and so easy. I'm over all the waste. I had just invested in all natural tampons so was waiting to finish those off. Love that it's no waste and no chemicals.
Diva cup is so wonderful and I'm so grateful I used it early in my period life. Your first couple periods can be a bit tricky with learning how to get it in/out (make sure it's around your cervix) but I've only leaked maybe three times because I put it in incorrectly. You can wear it in you for twelve hours (recommended) with 0 risk of toxic shock syndrome which means you can go the whole day, sleep with it in, and can change it when you shower/get home from work/school. It's maybe fifteen bucks and even after a year it's still in perfect condition! Super cost, eco, and lady friendly. Everybody I know who uses it loves it. 300/10 would recommend
Okay so it's like a cup that suctions to the sides and there's a little nub thing at the bottom. So when you're ready to take it out you just grab hold of the nub and usually just some light pressure against the side of the cup will break the seal (this shouldn't be gross because the top of the cup has formed a seal and nothing has leaked past it). I love my diva cup. It's changed my periods. I don't feel gross. I haven't messed up any panties since I got it. You don't need to worry about changing it frequently like a tampon. You don't run out and need to make an emergency run to the store. It's amazing. I can't believe how much I love it.
Simply Catherine Thank you for your response Karis! I love not having to change my tampon once in a day and the cup still has plenty of room if it were to have been a heavier day. I just pull slightly and the seal breaks and then can just pull it out and dump it right down the toilet. Since I only do this once a day I do it at home so I can clean my cup & re insert it.
I LOVE my Diva Cup as well, had it for almost a year now and I recommend it to everyone that is sick of pads and tampons. They are the best of both worlds.
I originally bought the diva cup because i was going to go on a month long backpacking trip in the rockies and dint want to have to pack out my used tampons. Now I know going into this comment with that description makes me sound like some epic mountain woman, but no, I'm just a normal girl, normal flow, normal levels of activity (didnt i just say i went backpacking for a month? yeah but I promise, I'm a legit couch potato normally), and I LOVE the diva cup. It hurt at first to put it in, but once you become more familiar with it and your body it gets much easier. It lasts WAY longer than tampons, and there is no risk of toxic shock, so if you're having a light day, leave it longer, no worries. It's great for the environment, its also better for your vagina (tampons are soaked in chemicals and can leave microscopic tears in you vag which makes you more susceptible to STDs). Not to mention you're going to save hella money not buying tampons every month. It is a little unnerving at first to see the blood, which is peoples first concern, and yes it gets on your fingers a little. It's honestly not a big deal though, you wipe your hands off with toilet paper, then wash them in the sink like normal. People tend to emphasize those little inconveniences over the HUGE number of benefits. I was a little sad that the video starts to rip on products that they hadn't even tested personally, so that's why I'm leaving this comment. I love it, it just takes a little bit of a commitment to properly test the product. Everyone who I have recommended the cup to has agreed that although its weird at first, it is one of the best period products out there.
Oh also, I've worked with FX Makeup blood for eight years now, and fake blood is not the same texture as real blood and wont absorb in the same way. You should be using something water based.
Hey ladies! Thanks for showing some of these. Just wanted to say that a LOT of ladies including myself can't use tampons or anything insertable due to conditions like endometriosis or vaginismus. The fabric pads are actually really absorbent and they're so much softer on the skin unlike the plastic disposable ones. That's why I use them, not because of the environment (although that's a bonus). So just wanted to let you know, that not everyone can do the "ungross" option of tampons...
The Diva Cup is amazingg!!! There is a little tab to pull it out and I pitch the bottom a little to break the suction, but you can literally wear it all day and not worry about it, I was also worried about how big it was but it isn't bad at all when you fold it up. It lasts for 10 years because it is silicon and it about 30 dollars, and is reusable. It is a healthy (No risk of TSS) and cheap alternative to tampons or pads :)
I read that you should replace it once a year but I'm not sure. I use one too and would be interested in the length. At about 30, I may not need to buy another if it's 10 years.
you don't need to buy a new one until it's damaged, i have mine for 3 years now and it's still perfect. just need to boil it between cycle to sterilized. I think it can last 10 years and more.
i used pads for the longest time and they were so uncomfortable so one day i went to the bathroom, turned on the shower so no one would know and they'd think i was in the shower, and just had a bunch of tampons and just like, poked around until it worked. my technique (which i don't recommend) was just to ignore the pain and just shove it up there. it worked but it could've gone very wrong. i'm proud to say that i use tampons with ease now! i was so happy when my first tampon went in it was crazy lmao i was like smiling and grinning like i just got a puppy or something.
The first time I had my period cup I had no idea how to insert it. I had never used tampons and I had watched videos but it was honestly scary. It hurt to even try to put it in. Like you I ignored my pain and just stuck it in there. By the end I was sweating and had sworn I would never do it again. I have used it for every period since and now I can gladly say I understand the correct way to use it.
Lilly Hood SAME 😂 I was like what I'm pretty sure I cleaned myself ok last time I pooped and then the realization hit me, oh Shit plz don't tell me this is "the first signs" of my period and unfortunately I was right
I use a majority of these products... The cloth pad needs to be washed a few times to become absorbent. The sponge can have a string attached and is just like a tampon in my opinion. The diva cup is based on suction, you just released the suction to taking it out. I love all of these products and could never use a chemical filled tampon that leaves behind dangerous fibers.
You know there's organic tampons, right? Just saying. I have used most stuff too, but not the sponge. I love alternatives, especially because they make me feel different about my period. I remember the first time I used my moon cup - and got to pour out the blood instead of throwing away a pad - it was magic, I felt so much more happy about not creating trash. I switch between tampons and moon cup, and I always have a reusable pad aswell(might need a bigger cup, I guess), because suddenly I need it, I tend to leak and also use tampons til they are full sometimes. But I hardly never use non-organic, that's not nice to think about having something unpure inside my body.
I’m to scared to use a tampon because of all the story’s I have heard about. Also I was about 10 when I started and I did not tell my mum because I thought something was wrong !!! Im now 13 and she knows lol
I got mine when I was 10 too and didnt tell my mom cuz I was scared but I told her when I was 11 cuz I had a bad leak in class (my teacher was male) but I'm 13 now
I never thought I could be into reusable products but my first attempt was reusable cloth liners because the disposables seemed to be irritating me. After switching I had far less problems and my period cramps lessened and my period lightened. I then switched from tampons to menstrual cups and now only have a 3/4 day period. It's way lighter and I rarely ever have cramps. It's easy to use and clean. I highly recommend researching cups before buying to better estimate the size you'll need. The wrong size is usually the buggest issue women have. Don't buy unknown crap from China though. You don't know what they're made of and even a $20-$25 investment can last 3+ years so the savings isn't worth ruining your innards for!
In 7th grade I would wait for hours to go to the bathroom and my periods were super abnormal (this particular time i went 3 months without it) then on a day i was wearing black leggings (i had to because i was a cheerleader) I started. I had gym first so everything started flowing. I went to 2 classes after gym until i realized i was on it and blood was on both chairs and it got on my homework too. It was on the chairs for like a week and i never told anyone it was me
Love my diva cup When i got my first period i was 11 just got up getting ready for school. I went down stairs did something i cant remember then was walking up the stairs felt a plop n stopped mid step.. Went straight to the toilet. This perfect red circle in my panties was there. Yelled my moms name she came running up the stairs her n my oldest sister who had a period for like 4 years (she was 15 when this happened to me lol) met at the bathroom door ...i opened it they saw the blood looked at each other smiled nodded n highfived . Mom insisted i stay home that day. I had this rush of energy so i got on my bike and followed the mail man for wat seemed 5 blocks....when i get home ALL MY MOMS FEMALE FRIENDS WERE GATHERED IN THE YARD CELEBRATING MY PERIOD. "our baby is a woman now!!" HUGGING N KISSING ME WHEN I WALkED UP . 7 years later im pregnant and still would rather deal with pregnancy than my period bc of that day🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽😂😂😂
The first time i ever got my period, i got asked out on a swim date, so i had to learn how to put in a tampon *i had to put in a tampon on the first day i ever got my period!!!!!*.... i literaly was satnding in the bathroom with my leg propped up on the counter, asking my mom how far i should put it up. And I remember, my vag hurt so much the next day!
I love the diva cup honestly. A bit of a learning curve at the beginning but it’s the best thing ever and way better for your body and the environment.
I got my first period 2 hours before I went to a pool party and the day before I had a 20 hour car ride. I also got it when I was 8. Life sucks. I learned about periods in 5th grade so that whole class I just sat there and never paid attention cause I had already had mine for a year. I have had my period for 5 years and I am horrified of tampons😂 my mom is 50 and never wore one😂
Julia Giraldo me to I learned it in 5th grade and I'm in 6th grade, the day before I got my period was when I learned it and the boys was with us my face was red and also my crush was next to me he was laughing like it was a joke so I slaped him. I still like him though
Julia Giraldo omg got no e when I was 8 too! Ahah why am I so happy about this? All these others girls like "I'm 15 and havemt started" you lucky bitch ahah good luck to all the girls out there bleeding I hope you don't DIE...
I got mine when I was 11 and I had always wanted to use tampons bc the idea of wearing a diaper doesn’t appeal to me. The second time I had my period I decided to use the first tampon I found but without realizing the sizes and wore a super. It hurt like hell but to this day I prefer them over pads. I do intense volleyball and wearing a pad I fell really self conscious so i wear a tampon. It’s honestly not as bad as people think they are. It’s so much easier and comfortable.
you have to wash the cloth pads several times to get the absorbancy up. The fake blood was too thick to resemble real blood. But great try . Love the shows.
love woman/girls that feak out about this. the big mess starts when you have a kid. the first week after giving birth is like a splatter movie and no chance to use a tampon. You need a mattress! Happy times!
I've never been pregnant but I have had periods which were bad enough to go to the emergency room and the nurse thought I was having a miscarriage until tests were done. My point is that some girls and women do have very heavy periods.
I started using the diva cup 4months ago and had literally changed my life.. never going back to pads or tampons again! Plus you save so much money by reusing it.. I will admit it does take a little practice but still so worth it.
Thank you so much Lily! I got mine when I was 13 and I thought that, that was the oldest age anyone had ever gotten their period. So just know, u are not completely alone. 😉
I LOVEEE THE DIVA CUP!!!! It doesn’t scratch its silicone, it has a rip at the end to pull it out,it can overflow....but I love it! You can’t feel it, it’s comfy!!!
Diva cups are great. They don't scratch or anything like that... they're made of very smooth body safe silicone. They don't really overflow when they're full. If you don't have them seated properly, they can leak in a very messy way, but once you get used to using them they're pretty easy. You can leave them in for up to 12 hours, so you don't have to get up in the middle of the night ever again, yay, or wake up with disgusting sheets. They don't block clots and stuff from coming out, or restrict the flow, or press on the cervix (when you have the right cup for your body type), so for me there was a lot less cramping and discomfort during my period. They're really easy to clean, usually I just rinse it out thoroughly with water, and wash it once a day with unscented and dye free feminine wash. The Diva cup can hold a half ounce of blood and stuff, so most days I can make it through a full work day without having to empty it. There are loads of different cups out there, with different sizes and shapes and colours for all body types and preferences. Most of them have stems and/or ridges along the bottom of the cup so you can easily remove them by just gently pulling, but sometimes it also helps to bear down a little imo. I'm a total convert, I've been using them for a few years now and even on my worst, heaviest days I can go hiking and work and swim and whatever else without any accidents or having to carry around a giant bag of tampons, and they're like a one time expense and last for several years. I used to have to have all different absorbencies of tampons plus pads and liners, and I would have to buy at least one box of tampons per month, which really adds up! I don't know if I could try the sea sponge thing, but I can't say enough good things about silicone cups.
can you still go to the toilet outside of home??? or is it like, wait the whole day till you get home remove it and pee. i feel like the blood would fall out everywhere once you take it out....
You can go to the bathroom (both kinds) with the cup in, though if you're having a bowel movement and your cup doesn't fit properly it may move when you bear down. You get used to how it feels when you need to empty it; for me it's sort of like a... squishy kind of feeling or like little bubbles, I don't really know how to explain it, but it's similar to the way a tampon feels when it's ready to be changed. When you empty the cup, you remove it while sitting on the toilet. It does sort of take a bit of practice maybe to get it out without spilling any blood, but even if you do spill you'll just spill into the toilet. The Diva Cup manufacturers recommend wiping away any blood with tissue and reinserting, but I really prefer to rinse it out whenever possible, however if I'm out shopping or someplace public where it isn't really comfortable or possible, I will use water from my drinking bottle or just wipe it with tissue and reinsert. I do bleed very heavily, but even still I tend to not have to empty it that often outside of work or home because even on a very heavy day you can still get several hours of wear compared to having to change tampons every hour or more frequently.
Cindy Bui Ye but I'm light on cause I'm one of the lucky ones that have it heavy for only 2 days and really light for the rest but I get super ocd on the first day then lazy and hangry the rest 😂
Nah dude diva cups are the SHIT it's so useful!!! For getting it, you legit just pinch the bottom and pull, then dump the contents in the toilet. It's awesome if you're more clotty or dont like dealing with it (as a trans guy it gives me a good deal of dysphoria) but with cups you just have to deal with it in the morning & before you go to bed
Katie Mcbride that was actually really sweet of him he’s going to be a great boyfriend to someone in the future
You marry him or I will

I got my first in my favorite teachers class while I was getting help after school. I got up to go to the bathroom and we both noticed red on the chair and I got really confused but then it hit me that I got it. The next thing I knew my teacher went to her purse and got me a pad. When I got back to the room I had tears In my eyes and was apologizing profusely (she kept telling me it was no big problem and that I should not feel bad) and then she gave me a hug and called my parents. It was embarrassing but I still love that teacher
Bella The Bubbly Brunette aww how sweet:)
Aww that is so adorable :) I am glad she was so nice but it must have been realy embarassing anyways
That's amazing how she did not want to embarrass you!!
NICEST TEACHER 😭😭😭😭😭😭
At least it was a female teacher. It would've been worse if it had been a dude. XD
"IM A WOMAN, THIS IS SUPER ABSORBENT BACK OFF!!!" 😂
I only have a dad.

Sage Kren that’s just great
Am I the only guy that always have at least 2 pads in their bag every day?
My mom always encourage me to do that, because I have many girl friends, so if they forgot to bring theirs, I can just give em one of mine, so they won't panic, especially in places like college.
Jonathan Hasiholan lol guys should do that!
Aw that's so kind! Guys at my school are assholes 😂😂
Jonathan Hasiholan Aw that's so nice!
Jonathan Hasiholan many girls would appreciate that and your mom definitely raised u right keep being awesome
Awh guys, thanks you all for being so kind. I always think that is kinda common sense tho, especially if the guy have girlfriend. And my mom always tell me that if I have wife/daughter I should always bring it too. Just in case haha.
I'm 35 and I use pads and it's comfortable for me. On the other side tampons freaks me out.
DREAMQ100 preach!!!
DREAMQ100 same I haven’t tried tampons and I’m 15. It seems scary!
I don't like them they scare me I use to be a swimmer and I hated having to use them
once you do it its fine
Lisa Brooks my worse fear is getting my period in the middle of class especially if I had a male teacher at that hour
Once in 8th grade my friend asked me for a pad but she didn’t know I hadn’t gotten my period but I still kept some in my bag Incase
Id just say if you dont want me to bleed on the seats let me gi back ti the bathroom
Who else is on their period as we speak? *raises hand*

Vlogleys no it’s not weird I have a diva cup in now.
Literally every single time!
when I was younger I was on a training trip across the US for swimming when I was in middle school so I was just with my team and I got my first period and I had to use a tampon THE FIRST DAY I GOT IT and during swimming I was leaking and I realized it was to small so I had to wait in the locker room for my MALE coach to get me A BIGGER sized tampon And HE WAS THE ONE WHO TOLD ME HOW TO USE IT OML
He's the real MVP
Sigrid Koplin it was prolly really fucking awkward but im glad you shared your story and now you have a fun memory! What's your ig lets be friends?
Sigrid Koplin i feel so bad for u girl

Rebel garag Myles your family sounds fantastic!!
Rebel garag Myles omg lol
my dad buys me chocolate lol! so does my boyfriend. they say it's the only way to tame the beast 😂😂😂
My parents NEVER gave me like chocolate or anything ;-; So I have to suffer alone (Well sometimes)
KiKiLoVedOnO I talk myself up when the doctor wants to put an enema in me. Lordie.....
I heard pads and tampons make cramps worse because of tge chemicals in them.
@@anitacecylia I recommend using the cup with a pad for the first few periods until you feel sure with it
KiKiLoVedOnO yes diva cups are amazing and are literally the best thing it only takes two changes during the day and done. Glad u have that freedom again
"Wait, sponges grow in the sea?" - Joslyn Davis
I had my first period after watching this... THANK YOU!!!!! NOW I'M GONNA GO CRY!!!!!!
Laura I'm 11 turning 12 and I started around july

Tauruslps i am 13 FUCKING 13 i stil don't have it and i am happy i dont have it BUT i kinda want it tho
I got my first period this year (I'm 13) AT THE BEACH!!
Silke kjølby no DO NOT KINDA WANT IT U DONT WANT IT
the diva cup stays secure because of suction. fold it to get it in and let it unfold. adjust you get a good seal, this part can take practice, and you're good till you can empty it. I wouldn't try to do this in a bathroom that you have to share the sink. to take the cup out you have to break the seal otherwise the suction only gets stronger the more you pull. that hurts. super reusable but does have a learning curve getting it in right and taking it out.
ya but for people under 14 its hard to get it in cause its so small
Tess Mefford there are many different folds. try them till you find one that works for you
Or try Lunette. It might be better in shape for you. :)
Desiree Paahana ya but I cant even get a tiny tampon in
Tess Mefford same but I'm 23 lol.
PSA: There's nothing wrong with wearing pads.
I use pads
I only wear panty liners
lol im to scerad to use tampons
Luísa oh 🌚

BubbleGumGamer 😂😂😂😂😂

Welcome to the club, where I was told I’d get mine 4 years ago
you girls need to make more of these type of videos
LA Myers Dudes view should have a continuation to then what was talked in the last episode of dude view, the girls in “lady life” should do a vid one that lady episode
LA Myers yass
LA Myers yes they so should!
Serious question: can someone tell us how you use the diva cup!!!
Erin Robinson lmao 😂
Lydia_ Ann How are they ? Do they hurt while you pull them out ??? (I am A Female that's inexperienced)
chelsea maria if you pull them out at an angle no. Be sure to stay relaxed while you are taking the tampon out. Don’t try to push it out (if that makes sense) Don’t be scared of Tampa’s because it’ll just make your experience worse. The best tip that I can give is to put it in at an angle and take it out the same way😊
Lydia_ Ann Thx 😘, Now I Might try them
THAT is what is called a really best friend😂
Yasss same!
I've had my period for 19 years I stopped caring if anyone sees me buying or carrying my pads to the bathroom. I hate tampons. I can never get them in right and they always leak. I'm 32 and I use pads. Screw tampons.
CrownedLily same here. I have a tilted cervix so it doesnt go in right.
I have a very low cervix so yeah.
Cindy_York98 😂😂😂
Cindy_York98 This comment needs more likes😂😄😅
Randi Yeager - that's hilarious! 😂😂
The SpongeBob thing killed me 😂
Same here, lolol 😂😂🤣🤣
My period is that whole fake blood container. 😂

Oh dear god
Same lol 😂
Same.
I relate
Same, and I have anemia too so my mom and doctor freaked out when we found out how long and heavy mine is.
Diva cups are the best thing ever for me. Not as intimidating as you'd think. It has a learning curve but it's too bad. I never struggle to get it out as long as I'm sitting on the toilet and make sure you break the suction or else you will struggle. Give it a try Lilly!
Lily**
bailey baker agreed, honestly now that I have switched to the diva cup I am NEVER going back.
I've never ever used a tampon , I'm scared to put it in
it is really easy if you use the ones with applicator :)
its odd at first but after like 5 minutes you don't feel it. you can get some like tampax that help you insert it
Callie Armitage it gets easier every time you put the tampon in.
Me too
Omg same @Callie Armitage, I'm actually so scared to use a tampon x all of my friends have used them but I'm so scared to ahhh😂❤️
The video that legitimately got me hooked to clevver

Raina Pope Wow! That’s so incredible!!
Raina Pope damn that sounds awesome I got mine in school then had to come home and awkwardly explain to my sister what a period was and tell my dad where his response was ok well I know your only going to tell your mom but if you need anything I’m here!!
Raina Pope this is great, what is the religion
That's so cool I wish everyone did that to
Lol my mom just felt bad for me and told me sorry. She said she didn't really want to have daughters because she didn't want us to go through that. She ended up having two.
I'm terrified of tampons I have too much anxiety to stick anything up there and pads work for me so .-.
JETninjagurl i used to be the same.
real talk: i was also scared but it has like a pretty long string, so you can pull it out if its too much for you. And honestly tampons are a life-changing thing.
JETninjagurl saaame .. I'm almost 24 years old ( virgin ) so nooooo way I'm using tampons 😝
JETninjagurl Same. I tried it once and just couldn't do it. Maybe some day.
Especially because I feel like it's more comfortable than tampons.
eruzaus YEESSS^-^ It seriously changed my life!
I use one too! I have the blue glitter :))) I love it so much! Would recommend to anyone. xxxx
I love mine too, I seriously forget that I have a period when I use it :)
eruzaus thank you for sharing. I want to try it so bad. Tampons gross me out.
eruzaus I have a diva cup, but it was too long for me so I now ordered a Lunette, so Ill see how it goes. I dont think its hard to put in or take out tho.
I got my first period wearing a floor length white dress 😅
I would die 🤣
I feel so bad for you I would have died
I don't like how they weren't very open-minded about the alternatives.
Rainbow Skittles Llamacorn yeah they were really rude about it
and they were worried the fake blood would trigger someone...
I think it didn't absorb, because the fake blood was too thick
Kübra Karasu Yeah but period blood is thicker than that it's like chunky lol
RENEE H
Not me
Kübra Karasu but period blood shouldn't be watery and most girls have a very heavy and thick period so that's realistic
idk it didnt even look like the food coloring absorbed all that well to me
Reagan Guerrero
It did, they even said that
I'm 14 and I use a menstrual cup, I am only 4 foot 8 inches. So for anyone who is worried about it not fitting or being too big please don't. menstrual cups are such an amazing alternative to pads or tampons they don't leak they are better for the environment and the best part you can leave them in for 12 hours! Please look into it I know it seems different and scary but it doesn't hurt to see what it is all about
Yeah, but vagina size also totally varies. I'm 18 and 5'1 and it'd never work for me...
TheAbstractRainbow I'm 11 and haven't had my period, but how old do you need to be to use a tampon. I'm asking because pads irritate me
Unless your parents have a serious concern about you using tampons it's all up to you.
Casually watch it not realising it was uploaded 1 minute ago.

Finding Dorito for me it says 1 hour ago
Finding Dorito this was the first comment and I looked down I was like whhhhhhhhaat
To be reading that and plus, I've never worn a tampon, so that kinda scares me 😨
BlueGreenOnna try on tampons great for begginers
Ah, maybe because I use a Moon Cup it's harder, but I'll definitely try that.
Started using a cup after years of horrible bleeding and passing out. My first period with a menstrual cup has gotten rid of that all. I bleed about half as much. I NEVER leak. I can swim, run and rough house with my kids without feeling the cup. I can't go back. Best thing ever.
Ps I have extra long coffin nails. I just wash my hands lol.
how does what you use effect the flow?
Yes, the bleach used to bleach the absorbent cotton in tampons and pads actually does cause worse cramping and endometriosis sometimes.
how do you wash it in public toilet ?
I’ve used the diva cup for YEARS and it’s so much less weird than you expect. I’m a big fan for so many reasons!
I found out I had 2 holes when I was really little I was taking a bath with my sister and my mom was helping us wash up and I was washing down there and I found it and was like "mom I found a hole!"
Makenzie Weeber 😂😂😂
Omg I’m crying 😂😂😂🤣🤣
There's three holes
Mum I found a hole 😂😂
But you have three 😂😂😂
I had been reading the leaflet inside the box of my Mom's tampons for YEARS by the time I got my period at 13! I was READY TO DOOOO THIIIIS. Popped one in and went out to dinner with my family. It was almost 6 months before my Mom even noticed her supply was running out faster than usual and asked if I had started.
Carrie Lynn girl yes. That's amazing. Ha goals lol
Carrie Lynn I got my period when I was 10
Carrie Lynn mhmm
Carrie Lynn ahaha goals 😂😂
The leaflet doesn't make any sense 😂 I've only tried twice but it's just too scaryyy
OMG THAT SPONGEBOB PART HAD ME DYING 😂😂😂

I’m actually dying! My mum made me use tampons at the age of 11. I’m a dancer so it helps a lot. You don’t feel them so they’re really useful. The only thing is, you don’t feel it do you could accidentally put 2 up... never done that and don’t want to
omg im a dancer too and i just started to use them and i love them!
Diva cups are lifesaving. I change it every 10 or 12 hours and it never gets even halfway full. I can't imagine it overflowing, but even if it did it wouldn't leak because it seals. 20 out of 10 recommend!!!
It does take some practice, so I recommend switching it every 4 or 6 hours your first period with it so you can get used to it.
DancesWithBeauty do you reuse them?
DancesWithBeauty yes, they last up to ten years treated properly, I've had mine for 4 years now and it's amazing. starts a little scary until you know your body then it's nothing, same deal as the first time using a tampon
Elizabeth McLaughlin That's pretty cool! Do you rewash in between changing it?
rxxrcousin yea you just rinse with warm to hot water then do a deep clean every few months by either boiling it putting it in the dish washer or using sex toy cleaner since it is made for items to be put into a place that is pretty sensitive to Jerms and such
is no one going to talk about how amazing Lily's shirt is 😂 😂 😂
You should do a video compilation of how many times joslyn has said she likes a good satchel
Lorena Va YAS!!
Then you squeeze it to make sure there’s nothing hard inside!
In unison: WHAT????!!!! 😂😂😂😂
300/10 would recommend
the diva cup is amazing! you don't need to worry about a spill over even on heavy days. I would never go back
Amalie Aguayo how do you take it out though?
In England we call periods as in the end of sentence things we call them full stops
Same in Australia
Same in South Africa

I think it can last 10 years and more.
i used pads for the longest time and they were so uncomfortable so one day i went to the bathroom, turned on the shower so no one would know and they'd think i was in the shower, and just had a bunch of tampons and just like, poked around until it worked. my technique (which i don't recommend) was just to ignore the pain and just shove it up there. it worked but it could've gone very wrong. i'm proud to say that i use tampons with ease now! i was so happy when my first tampon went in it was crazy lmao i was like smiling and grinning like i just got a puppy or something.
bethhh I use cloth pads, I can’t tampons to work they never go in correctly. So I just avoid pools on those weeks 😂
When I first got my period, I didn't realize it. I thought I was crapping myself for the first two days and then I finally figured it out.
Lilly Hood sameee haha
Lilly Hood SAME 😂 I was like what I'm pretty sure I cleaned myself ok last time I pooped and then the realization hit me, oh Shit plz don't tell me this is "the first signs" of my period and unfortunately I was right
me tooooooo
Same, same... 😂😂😂😂😂
Omg same 😂
I use a majority of these products...
Kelseybelsey9 not to mention how they whiten the products. And how those same chemicals are responsible for so many women's cramps each month.
Kelseybelsey9
You know there's organic tampons, right? Just saying. I have used most stuff too, but not the sponge. I love alternatives, especially because they make me feel different about my period. I remember the first time I used my moon cup - and got to pour out the blood instead of throwing away a pad - it was magic, I felt so much more happy about not creating trash. I switch between tampons and moon cup, and I always have a reusable pad aswell(might need a bigger cup, I guess), because suddenly I need it, I tend to leak and also use tampons til they are full sometimes. But I hardly never use non-organic, that's not nice to think about having something unpure inside my body.
chickadee yes, those a great option for people who like tampons! I just prefer something that's reusable and not as wasteful. 😊
I hear you.
That whole 2 minutes of period stories XD they should do whole videos of just talking about a topic for 15 minutes!
I’m to scared to use a tampon because of all the story’s I have heard about. Also I was about 10 when I started and I did not tell my mum because I thought something was wrong !!! Im now 13 and she knows lol
I got mine when I was 10 too and didnt tell my mom cuz I was scared but I told her when I was 11 cuz I had a bad leak in class (my teacher was male) but I'm 13 now
Same. Still to scared to use a tampon.
what were u using?? toilet paper??
la she was using a pad
I'm on my period rn. Fml :)
Fuck off same lol
same
Fuck off Saaaamee

3 to 4 day period. Sorry that looks like 3 quarters of a day.
Jennifer Vapespads have chemicals and i heard thry can affect you inside. Even pads. I havent tried reusable yet
It was on the chairs for like a week and i never told anyone it was me
How did it get on your homework. That’s some spider man stuff right there
Oh honey I'm sorry
Love my diva cup
When i got my first period i was 11 just got up getting ready for school. 7 years later im pregnant and still would rather deal with pregnancy than my period bc of that day🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽😂😂😂
congrats on the baby
The first time i ever got my period, i got asked out on a swim date, so i had to learn how to put in a tampon *i had to put in a tampon on the first day i ever got my period!!!!!*.... i literaly was satnding in the bathroom with my leg propped up on the counter, asking my mom how far i should put it up. And I remember, my vag hurt so much the next day!
I had that too but it was at a party and some of my guy friends were there so I was so scared I was going to put it in wrong and leak everywhere. lol
Can Drew stay on beauty break? I like her 😊
😘😘
Eric Ventura sameee
Eric Ventura saaaame! Got excited when I saw her, love her!
Eric Ventura ya totally
The cups are amazing!!! My periods have become lighter and less crampy since switching! Also, reusable pads are terrific as well!!!
Snow Drop omg I did the same tbh ahah
Julia Giraldo they seem super scary but are great.
If you cough the wrong way oh my gosh I'm dead.
Used pads for the first 3 times, had my friend order me a diva cup, havent used anything else since (got mine at 13) diva cups are the best
love woman/girls that feak out about this. the big mess starts when you have a kid. the first week after giving birth is like a splatter movie and no chance to use a tampon. You need a mattress! Happy times!
K Kitchenmom love those hospital pads they send you home with.
K Kitchenmom Gotta love the mesh underwear!
Arlinda Barry omg 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💀 sorry that made die laughing
I've never been pregnant but I have had periods which were bad enough to go to the emergency room and the nurse thought I was having a miscarriage until tests were done. My point is that some girls and women do have very heavy periods.
Arlinda Barry your comment made me laugh so hard about the dexter thing
I started using the diva cup 4months ago and had literally changed my life.. never going back to pads or tampons again! Plus you save so much money by reusing it.. I will admit it does take a little practice but still so worth it.
RC〈3505 iv herd all good things about this diva cup but I'm just scared it will get stuck 😓😓
Thank you so much Lily! I got mine when I was 13 and I thought that, that was the oldest age anyone had ever gotten their period. So just know, u are not completely alone. 😉
Dragon Lover531 My friend's mom got hers when she was 18. I'm pretty sure 18 is the oldest. 13 is an about average age to get your period.👌
I got mine when i was 12 and I just had to get it at school when I didn't expect it. worst day of my schooling life
Dragon Lover531 my aunt didnt get hers till she was 23, but she also had a load of health issues growing up so its possible it delayed it a bit
I LOVEEE THE DIVA CUP!!!! It doesn’t scratch its silicone, it has a rip at the end to pull it out,it can overflow....but I love it! You can’t feel it, it’s comfy!!!
Just gotta say I got my first period on Friday the 13th...
P.S; I was 11
Oh no don't worry me to
Halloween for me
Christmas morning
I got it in a movie theature, the seats were khaki... good thing i didnt leak
Me too, a month before I turned 16
Pee and your period don't come out of the same hole. You can pee with a cup in just like you can pee with a tampon in.
You can go to the bathroom (both kinds) with the cup in, though if
you're having a bowel movement and your cup doesn't fit properly it may
move when you bear down. You get used to how it feels when you need to
empty it; for me it's sort of like a... squishy kind of feeling or like
little bubbles, I don't really know how to explain it, but it's similar
to the way a tampon feels when it's ready to be changed. When you empty
the cup, you remove it while sitting on the toilet. It does sort of take
a bit of practice maybe to get it out without spilling any blood, but
even if you do spill you'll just spill into the toilet. The Diva Cup
manufacturers recommend wiping away any blood with tissue and
reinserting, but I really prefer to rinse it out whenever possible,
however if I'm out shopping or someplace public where it isn't really
comfortable or possible, I will use water from my drinking bottle or
just wipe it with tissue and reinsert. I do bleed very heavily, but even
still I tend to not have to empty it that often outside of work or home
because even on a very heavy day you can still get several hours of
wear compared to having to change tampons every hour or more
frequently.
Was I the only one watching this while having my period but laughing too hard and felt it come out
Cindy Bui same thing happened to me 😂
Cindy Bui yes almost haha
SAME
Cindy Bui Ye but I'm light on cause I'm one of the lucky ones that have it heavy for only 2 days and really light for the rest but I get super ocd on the first day then lazy and hangry the rest 😂
Cindy Bui Yes, yes I did
11:58 “this looks like arts and crafts in bible school” LMAOOO AHAHAH
Reusable pads are so much more comfortable than disposable they are easy to use
They looked comportable tbh
Erin looked so concerned during the beginning 😂😂😂
Nah dude diva cups are the SHIT it's so useful!!! For getting it, you legit just pinch the bottom and pull, then dump the contents in the toilet. It's awesome if you're more clotty or dont like dealing with it (as a trans guy it gives me a good deal of dysphoria) but with cups you just have to deal with it in the morning & before you go to bed
I love how I was supposed to get my period 20 days ago and still haven’t gotten it yet. The anxiety is killing me
You good tho?
