That's one reasons bruce campbell got pissed and retired the character, wanted series to continue.
I heard a rumor and no comfirmation, that he might and use word might return if sami rami and robert tapert could come up with good angle in a evil dead movie follow up.

In the soviet union we had the first video-tape recorder in the village. The two tapes that we had were "Evil Dead" and "Nightmare on Elm Street"". I watched Evil Dead as a kid on a dark, rainy day. It was a fabulous experience, what i will never forget.

I went to a Bruce Campbell event several months ago and there was a Q&A before they showed the evil dead movies. Bruce himself said he's done playing Ash
Ash to the witch as he leaves her in his room: "Don't touch anything...unless you feel like doing some cleaning. In that case, touch everything."
I met Bruce at a Q and A/ book signing, very cool dude, I got to shake his hand and chat with him for a minute and I couldn't have been happier about it. He truly is the king, baby!
I'm surprised how good Ash vs evil dead ended up being, it's hard to live up to the originals but I feel it was a really good extension.
It blew my mind how the TV serie was good and close to the original. More so given current politically correct climate and other bullshit.

Bruce won't do anymore. He already said in an interview he was done after season 3 got cancelled. Can't say I blame him he is 62 now.

Imagine choosing one beverage then only being able to drink the one beverage for 40 years, it's gets old after a while. but over all i think he just wants to be done. he chooses to be done. only thing left to do now is wait until Hollywood decides to reboot it from the beginning and laugh at how bad it is compared to the original.
@@hbkx5 He hasnt been playing Ash for 40 years. He did 3 ED movies back in the 80s/90s, and 3 seasons of AvED just recently. There's a 30 year time span where he did no ED at all except for some random game voiceovers. Sam should of just made a sequel to AoD. AvED proved Bruce could still do action scenes in 2015. Why can Sam make Drag Me to Hell, but not AoD2? The strange thing is, Sam has made no movies starring or even co starring Bruce every since AoD. Does he secretly hate Bruce? Why?

If I recall correctly, he retired playing the *physical* role of Ash on camera. I believe he said he's still fine doing voice acting as Ash for projects, if that counts.

When I was 13, I gutted one of my Dad's old chainsaws to make Ash's saw hand. It was my last Halloween, so I wanted to make the best costume I could. The costume turned out great, but nobody knew who I was. Still, I had fun. Wish I had pictures.

When I was in graduate school I was tasked with making a wooden sign for the Department of Oral History and Cultural Heritage (which I was loaned out to as part of my indentured servitude). Anyways, I woodburned a border consisting of all sorts of photos from rural Mississippi and its old timers. I needed a cabin, but just couldn't find one. I was pondering this and had Evil Dead playing and the solution came to me. I paused it on a shot of the cabin and used that as my reference image. Worked perfectly and I don't thing anyone ever figured it out.
Just one word for this:
"Groovy."
This just dropped into my recommended and I couldn't be happier
If Bruce and Sam get paid I'll totally purchase. They've given us endless hours of entertainment its the least we can do. All Hail The Kings Baby!

The TV show was amazing. My daughter and I always got together to watch the episodes. It would be fantastic if they bought it back. The ending showed us a bit of the awesome possibilities.
Anyone else agree that the movies, random, and TV show especially because of modern times and things they can do. I've said a lot it gives me a lot of inner comfort, joy and contentment. Can't explain it much but it's rewarding. Possibly Bruce Campbell and Co's down to earth heart and love for it all.

Finally a positive take on fandom
I was in the military for 13 years and in 2004 I was deployed to Afghanistan. I was in a mounted Infantry unit and I was a 50 cal gunner. I’ve been a fan of the Evil Dead series since I was a kid in the 80s. When I got there I took some small letter decals and named and labeled my 50 cal my Boomstick. Army of Darkness came out in the theatres while we were there. Every other week we had bizarres on post and the locals would come I and sell us things. One thing that was a staple were dvds. A lot of times they didn’t work. But we would get dvds of movies that weren’t in the theatres in America yet. They were mostly filmed in India and someone would go to the movie and set up a camcorder and record the movie while they watched it. Then it’d make its way to our camps. It was awesome! The day we got Army of Darkness my company took over the MWR building and screened it. I’m such a huge fan and it was a welcome distraction. So the fact that we’re gonna get more Ash is amazing!
Hell yeah. In 2011, saw Evil Dead 2 for the first time at midnight with three of my boys in a little tent on a laptop after the late post on some tiny PB in Helmand province.

Really happy to see this. It looks great and it's amazing these days how some of the down to earth starts from horror, as horror has became like a semi sub genre since the last 10 years, its great to see them work with fans too. Bruce Campbell comes across as a good guy.

The tv Ash went from good guy to pervert to hero to idiot so often it was hard to keep up. But there's no doubting he's an icon and I look forward to the upcoming Evil Dead game. Boy I still remember Fistfull of Boomstick with Evil Dead 2 bundled in. Good times.

The Evil Dead movies are my favorite horror movie franchises of all time. Evil Dead is my favorite one of all time. The soundtrack to Evil Dead 2 is good. The video games are so much fun. The TV show is a lot of fun. I just love the Evil Dead movies.
