    Your video's are always the best. Any time I don't have to watch one of those Crap 'Picture Snap' "video's" (and I use that word VERY loosely) of Ivan The Terrible. ..is a good day. Excellent coverage of the work and great editing. I especially love the 'Best of 80's Porn Soundtracks' you use.

    Hola Han Solo, ¡he¡, digo Sergio Solo, ¿tienes algun video que explique el porque de las bases de pintura, porque la laca de cabello, el pincel con agua es inmediatamente despues de la pintura o al secarse?. ( Por cierto, exelente trabajo. )

    • @SergioSolo
      @SergioSolo  7 лет назад

      Hola, muchas gracias :) No tengo videos específicos sobre cada técnica. La pintura base (imprimante o imprimadura) ayuda a que la pintura acrílica se adhiera mejor a la superficie. La laca sirve para desconchar la pintura que va encima de ella y debido a que trabajo con pinturas de secado rápido puedo empezar a usar el pincel con agua casi inmediatamente después de pintar.

    • @lamg7963
      @lamg7963 7 лет назад

      Imprimate o imprimadura, ¿es asi como se le conoce, y solo sirve para pintura acrilica?.

    • @SergioSolo
      @SergioSolo  7 лет назад

      Sí, así se le conoce. En inglés es 'primer'. Hasta donde tengo entendido sirve para varias clases de pintura. Te recomiendo investigar más al respecto para tu caso específico

    What a great video build Sergio. I'm starting a T4b myself soon and I will be referencing your two videos a lot. One question I have is. You did a lot of work weathering the tracks with rust and applying the pencil to achieve the metal look to great effect. The you more or less covered the whole job with the dust. What is your thought about covering all that work? Could you achieve the same result with just a basic weathering cover? Sorry two questions

    Great paint work and build. I just have one comment. The Soviets (or whatever Warsaw Pact country got the contract), would send the tanks painted standard Warsaw Pact dark green. Syria and other countries would typically just paint the camo over the green base. When you use chipping, the color coming out under the tan and the gray should be green. But as I said at the beginning your techniques are awesome!!

    A couple questions. I used a similar technique on model tanks I play a mini game with. I get the dried pigments on my fingers when moving them, but if I varnish the pigments they go back to their wet, dark color, and don’t look like dust anymore. Do you attempt to bind your pigments to the model? Or is yours display so you don’t worry about touching it?
    I used mineral spirits for my pigments instead of the odorless turpentine you used also. I don’t know if that makes a difference.

    • @SergioSolo
      @SergioSolo  6 лет назад

      Yeah, dry pigments change a lot when varnished. I usually don't apply anything after apply them dry. I just never touch them again :P Look for reviews about Pigment Fixers. Maybe that's what you're looking for

    Hi!
    Don't deny it: you do work fast :-) This tank in two weeks is a very good performance.
    Or maybe I tend to overthink my models...
    Nice representation of a dusty syrian T-54. But man, your glove is dirty :-D.
    Always fun to watch your videos!

      +Radu B. Hey Radu! Yeah, I was lucky to have enough time to get it done in (actually) 3 weeks, and I also overthink my models too! Glove is gone now. It served its purpose very well 🤓

    Grey job these videos are really informative and they truely help. Could I just use the pastels instead of pigments because it seems like they work the same

    • @SergioSolo
      @SergioSolo  6 лет назад

      Thank you, Oleg. Yes, you can use and get good results with pastels, but pigments are better

    Hola Sergio, descubrí tu canal hace poco por el tema de la armadura de clon, me parece genial, te felicito. Pero también me han causado curiosidad los tanques para modelismo, quisiera saber dónde puedo conseguirlos en Colombia, ¿recomiendas alguno en especial para comenzar en ese hobby? Gracias por compartir tu talento ¡Saludos!

      +Kevin Ochoa Hola, Kevin. Muchas gracias por tus comentarios. En Colombia puedes encontrar kits en cdhobby.com y la librería Panamericana (sólo Revell), aunque yo pido casi todo del exterior, principalmente de hlj.com y luckymodel.com.
      Para empezar te recomiendo la marca Tamiya, especialmente los modelos viejitos (de los 70s). Puedes encontrarlos muy baratos y aunque no son representaciones perfectas del vehículo real eso no evita tener un modelo muy bonito al final. En mi canal puedes encontrar el proceso de armado y pintado de 2 kits de Tamiya: El StuG IV y el T-62A.
      Espero haberte ayudado. ¡Saludos desde Bucaramanga!

      Sergio Solo Me gustaría hacer el StuG IV, por ser de la segunda guerra :) Y a propósito de esto, estaba viendo que algunos tanques tienen variantes de este periodo de tiempo, ¿existe algún método para hacer las calcomanías cuando no son incluidas en el kit? Gracias por la respuesta y por cierto, yo soy de Bogotá.

      +Kevin Ochoa Te cuento que en estos momentos estoy armando el StuG III Ausf B de Tamiya, un excelente kit que pronto podrás ver en mi canal. Con respecto a las calcas, los kits normalmente incluyen varios sets para varias versiones del vehículo, pero sí, he visto que se pueden hacer, aunque la verdad hasta ahora no he tenido la necesidad de probarlo. Te sugiero unirte al foro de Amigos Modelistas de Colombia. No es muy activo, pero allí te pueden aclarar dudas y tal vez conozcas a más modelistas bogotanos.

      Genial, esperaré con ansias los vídeos, por cierto, ¿podrías enseñar cómo hacer un efecto de desgaste por vegetación, o por pantanos? es decir cuando las orugas salen verdes. Ya me registré en el foro, gracias por toda la información y que sigas teniendo éxitos en tu canal.

      +Kevin Ochoa Qué bueno, Kevin 👍 Los ensuciados los voy haciendo a medida que los necesito. Por ahora no tengo planes de hacer un tanque salido de un pantano pero creo que igual el StuG que estoy haciendo va a quedar bastante embarrado

    Good job. I bought the Ammo Of Mig set for my Takom King Tiger. First time using the Mig paint as well, and I like it. It covers very well.
