Hi, guys. I went to Chris's pre-k Christmas program today and saw the boy (David) with the very long hair. About 6 months ago it was at lower calf length. Well, it is now down to past his ankles with a the very tips touching the floor! While I still think it is too long for a 5 year old boy, it was quite impressive to see such length and it did look OK on him. After the program his mom came up to me and said I was their inspiration. She was very kind and she said David has never had a haircut or even a trim in his life. I asked what the future held for David's hair and she said she cannot bring herself to ever cut his hair and hopes it grows another 3 to 4 feet! I asked David if he likes his long hair and he said he loves it and will never cut it. I asked Chris how he manages with it and she said he generally wears it in a ponytail, braid or 2 pigtails so it does not get in the way or drag on the floor. He wore it down for the Christmas show to show it off and they serm so proud of how long it is. I noticed he was wearing a nice dress shirt, slacks, and a pair of Birkenstock clogs to which mom said occasionally his hair gets tangled in the buckles of his clogs, lol. Thought I would share and update you on this. By the time he is in kindergarten his hair certainly will be dragging at least 6 inches behind him. I hope he can keep it and the school works with them. What are your thoughts on this update??
