I have all these unfinished projects because I refuse to sew the arms and legs and everything else. I'm always starting new projects in and leaving the old ones unfinished because of the sewing part. 😢😂
@hauntedlawyer8273 Well, when you have small children constantly pulling on them, it is harder to sew them to where the stitches don't come loose than if you just set the toy on a shelf. But I agree, and it was mostly my earlier toys that came loose.
Count. Crochet is straight lines so as long as they’re on the same line they’ll line up and as long as you count the stitches they’ll be in the right place.
@@kellybumgardner4291Actually Nightcorelive1032 is correct. If the plushie is made as a spiral, (as most are), if you crochet the arms on, one side will be higher than the other, no matter how well you count, because the very nature of a spiral is that one side will always be higher than the other. It's actually visibly in the video. You can see that one arm is one row lower than the other because they're attached to a spiral. There's nothing wrong with this method of attaching appendages, however, they will not be exactly even. If you've ever crocheted stripes while working in the round, you'll know what I mean because the stripes never line up at the starting point due to the fact that you're working in a spiral, so the end of the row finishes one row higher than the start.
Markers are your friend, particularly the ones that clip so that you can adjust the arms into the position of your liking and then hold them in place as you work the row!
I enjoy sewing but if it can be attached as I work, I absolutely go for that! I don’t want to feel like I finish something and not be finished at the same time.
whenever a pattern says to make the head separate from the body i just ignore it and continue from the neck of the body its so much easier than trying to sew it on
I learned this from a teddy near pattern I purchased, on Etsy and it is a game changer. Body parts are now evenly spaced(most of the time) and I feel much more comfortable when gifting teddy to young children.
my stuffed animals always look SO good , until I sew the pieces together. Then it looks like it just escaped from a burning dumpster behind a psych ward, and it’s always looking at you even when it’s body is facing the other direction
This is some kind of coincidence but the colours you used on that teddy is the exact same colour of wool that I bought the other day, in the same type of wool as well
I was following a plush tutorial once that had no only seperate arms and legs but was actually wrong and had the wrong measurements. So i gave up on it and made my own plush and it turned out awesome
Oooo so u make them first and chain them in???? I was wondering how to get the time down on my plushies! Ive gotten faster at crocheting, but i spend like 1h 30 sewing if it needs face details too!😭
Well, you can always do alterations to make it look better to you, I don't like sewing and I think most pieces look better when I don't sew (maybe I just need to practice lol), but the fun about crochet is that everyone can make it as they like more.
I never sew my crochet if I can avoid it, I just know if I crochet it together it won't have sewings that can go up especially useful for a doll for a kid or bags, things that will have to take a punch😂
I love sewing. i love crocheting but I HATE sewing in crochet idk why. Plus if you don't sew it the right way, some parts of the thread can be seen eccetera
Do you want tutorial for this? 🤔
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YESS😭🙏
Yes yes yes!
Нам это надо
PLEASEEE
WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT, OFCOURSE!
I always dread the part of crocheting that involves sewing, this is a genius idea.
Me too
I love sewing NGL
Better start a new project than sewing lmao
Same im soooo baaaaad at sewing. Like I'm trying to learn how to handsewn but.... Ugh....
I have all these unfinished projects because I refuse to sew the arms and legs and everything else. I'm always starting new projects in and leaving the old ones unfinished because of the sewing part. 😢😂
I love doing that because then the stitches don't wiggle loose, and the arms won't fall off.😊
If you're sewing properly this shouldn't happen?
@hauntedlawyer8273 Well, when you have small children constantly pulling on them, it is harder to sew them to where the stitches don't come loose than if you just set the toy on a shelf. But I agree, and it was mostly my earlier toys that came loose.
@@naowright9308yeha makes sense
I feel did if i did this the arms will not line up or one is more in front than the other, but it is a good idea to try and learn❤
Count.
Crochet is straight lines so as long as they’re on the same line they’ll line up and as long as you count the stitches they’ll be in the right place.
@@torakfett3351not necessarily, a lot of pattern are in spirals, notably animals so the arms will not line up
@@nightcorelive1032they will if you do the rounds correctly. There is beginning and an end marked with a stitch marker. So it's possible.

Name of yarn plz
I did that for my mesh top. The tutorial told me to see it separately, but I just crocheted it
im making a mesh top and planned on doing this too
Am I the only one who loves sewing whenever I have to crochet?
I love it too, unless it comes loose
Honestly, i like sewing the pieces on.
My favorite part about crocheting is sewing but everybody has different opinions and that’s OK
I love sewing too, for me it's more like the build up of going to sew after I finished making the body parts! 😭😭
True though
Could you sew all of my projects from now on? If I have to pick up a tapestry needle one more time, I may simply perish.
Sameee I love sewing I learnt sewing when I was 6/7
@@breannaquinby ok
I just put together the pieces of a unicorn project and as I'm sewing the pieces, I literally said to myself "why didn't I crochet them on"
Sewing is my favorite part sometimes 🥲
Slip stitching everything together saves way more time imo. Also makes the project look more seamless
personally i like sewing parts to my lil plushies but i get what u mean bc sometimes when i already stuffed it the sewing part takes out some fluff
yeah i would do this if i knew how to adjust the pattern.
whenever a pattern says to make the head separate from the body i just ignore it and continue from the neck of the body its so much easier than trying to sew it on
Omg Is That Bluey?! Love It ❤😊

I'm crocheting in the same time watching all ur crocheting shorts ;}
Looks fine!
I dont really complain about sewing tbh i like to do it, it helps me learn new ways of sewing and ill take it 😅
I actually love sewing the parts together. It’s my favorite part but to each their own ❤
I love doing that!!
my stuffed animals always look SO good ,
until I sew the pieces together. Then it looks like it just escaped from a burning dumpster behind a psych ward, and it’s always looking at you even when it’s body is facing the other direction
That makes so much sence!
This map is gorgeous! Well done everyone! 💛
Omg that’s so cute already ❤😭
Sewing is kinda easy for small things for me but idk if the string will stay since I don’t crochet:3
I always do this too!
Ima be honest I actually enjoy sewing
omg fr i absolutely hate having to sew so much i wish i had enough knowledge to just crochet them
So im the only one who loles the sewing part lol😊
I can’t do it like this. I can’t figure it out. I love the sewing ones and can’t understand how people don’t like sewing.
I had a stroke reading that lol 😂😭💀
If it's possible to crochet the body parts in, I definitely do. 😅
as someone who sees (never crocheted a day in my life tho) this hurt😔💔
Me! I want extra sewing!
This is some kind of coincidence but the colours you used on that teddy is the exact same colour of wool that I bought the other day, in the same type of wool as well
I literally just slip stitching and add in maybe a signle crochet to keep it in place and call it a day.
I always do this😅
Hehe I do this too
😂 But I like sewing the parts on. 😂
I was following a plush tutorial once that had no only seperate arms and legs but was actually wrong and had the wrong measurements. So i gave up on it and made my own plush and it turned out awesome
I like sewing
Is it just me, since I cant crotchet i make rows and sew them together
BLUEY❤
I don’t mind sewing :)
Unpopular opinion but I love sewing
valid queen 💪💪
me. sewing is fun for me ngl
Pov: you want to make plushie, but u can't make magic ring and u isn't patient person😅
I like sewing them and hate crocheting them
You can do catnap or dogday
I feel like Silverbell is much fiting for Oliver than Sherbet is
Me all the time. I hate sewing. I suck at it
Reeeeaaaallllll! It’s the same for me with weaving in ends, it’s like *THE WORST* part about crocheting, I literally hate it! :
I prefer the sewing
The reason I want to learn to make patterns. To make no sew stuffy patterns for people!
Oooo so u make them first and chain them in???? I was wondering how to get the time down on my plushies! Ive gotten faster at crocheting, but i spend like 1h 30 sewing if it needs face details too!😭
I had a panic attack reading that
I did this for handlers on a bag. I hate when they want you to sew things together
Me. I hate when patterns are no-sew. Especially when there’s a head separate from the body 😭. I would rather sew the head on, looks better for me
Well, you can always do alterations to make it look better to you, I don't like sewing and I think most pieces look better when I don't sew (maybe I just need to practice lol), but the fun about crochet is that everyone can make it as they like more.
yes!!!
i can’t figure out how to keep the sewed on arms to stay on 😅😭
Am I the only one who likes sewing? 😭😭
if a pattern requires sewing I always try to minimize it by doing things like this, I hate sewing sooo much
OMG SOOOOO TRUE
I personally like to sew things in. Is that just me?
Im the absolute opposite 😂
Not me-
I just crochet limbs in to make sure it stays attached and strong
Do you have a tutorial for this????
I never sew my crochet if I can avoid it, I just know if I crochet it together it won't have sewings that can go up especially useful for a doll for a kid or bags, things that will have to take a punch😂
Can you make pomni
Amigurumi örgü sevmiyorum ancak oyuncak yaparken uygun örgü şekli mecburen budur kolay gelsin 👍
I need to know how 😭😭
The brokens during this tho 😭
when you realize your stitching stitches because it it's crochet.
I actually don’t mind the sewing part too much.
Unless I’m making a succulent. Sewing on 14 different sized leaves is a pain 😭
We need a tutorial on this
Same i prefere that
HOW I CENT EVEN DO A LITLE TEDYBEAR

I love sewing. i love crocheting but I HATE sewing in crochet idk why. Plus if you don't sew it the right way, some parts of the thread can be seen eccetera
NO, Because sometimes when I watch vids it says 'no needle' BUT AS SOON AS THEY DO THE MATERIALS "And you will need a needle." LIKE WHAT-
WOW
Real...
Name of yarn plz
I wasn’t extra sewing. Because I’m a sewer and I don’t crochet 😭
REAL
Is it weird that i l like sewing bc its satisfying but i also dont like it because it can become lose and then i have to do it all over again?
Hmmm maybe add two more tails!
For real tho. Why wouldn't you???? It's not super difficult~
