best part is always Torrey Pines State Beach when you come out of Del Mar. I love that area.
I love how you didn't add any sound!! Its peaceful. Capturing the trees and the nature are the best part! The less vars and people the better!!
beautiful california! me and my wife miss out home! currently out here in illinois (military) and it sucks so bad up here, literally nothing to do. cant wait till we move back home later this year.
I moved to Austin. Worst 2 years ever! Back now. Good luck on returning to "Americas finest city "
@@bedini2615 glad you made it back lol. everybody always hates on cali for how expensive it is and the corrupt government but you just cant beat the weather and the good vibes and good people. everyone up here is miserable! cant even get good customer service anywhere!

Same in Dallas were Im at
... Everybody hates everybody! TOXIC!!
@@bedini2615 Update: Finally getting stationed in San Diego! Moving back next week Friday!
Hilarious! I'm telling you living in Tokyo, the people are miserable here too. I lived in Orange county California for 26 years.
Nice views of the road, but you missed the beauty of looking out the side windows at the beaches, flowers, trees and views that make the coast highway so wonderful!!
I love Cali, it's expensive but if I'm going to spend a lot on a house, it has to be in my beloved California ... baby I'm going back ...
I am from Oceanside, California. I was born there. I spent my childhood there in the 1980s. It's my childhood home and hometown. My dad was stationed in the military at Camp Pendleton, my mom worked at a company that makes golf clubs and my brother went to Oceanside High School and graduated in 1989. My brother worked at the Wienerschnitzel on Hill Street (now Coast Highway). Man, them changing Hill Street to Coast Highway and making Mission Ave. a one way street from Coast Highway to the 5 is dumb. I don't know. Anyway as a kid, I went to Garrison Elementary School. Went on drives with my mom, dad, sister and brother in the car through Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar and parts of San Diego in the north along the old routing of the 101 in the 1980s. It was a nice drive. Went on some drives on the 5 as well. The cars my mom and dad had were a Sliver 1976 Grand Prix, a burgundy 1981 Cadillac Eldorado with burgundy velvet seats and interior that ran on diesel, a yellow 1981 Chevrolet Chevette and a sun gold 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. My parents traded in the Cadillac for the Oldsmobile at a car dealership in National City near San Diego and my dad got a 1989 burgundy Chevrolet S-10 pickup after a drunk hit and destroyed his Chevette while he was heading home from work. My dad took me, my sister, my mom and brother to Disneyland, went to Oceanside harbor and a lot of places in Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Diego and Lemon Grove. Went to the beach on elementary School field trips, rode a train with my teacher, and kids who I went to school with. Things has changed since I was out there. It's good to run up on videos like this on RUclips to remind me how nice Oceanside and other cities on coast in San Diego County are.
You have an amazing childhood
Boi really told his whole life story😂just cause he’s from the city
El Camino is better than Oceanside
I used to surf many spots in Oceanside and Carlsbad in the late 80s and 90s and I once stupidly bought the worse car ever made: a Chevy Citation. haha
I used to love eating at Wienersnitchel.
Driven that route many, many times both for pleasure and as a practice route for my driving students.
That route is a nice alternative to taking the less scenic and less locally interesting I-5. When you have the time, of course.
Torrey Pines State beach up to Carlsbad on HWY 1 is the absolute best when the sun is shining...the colors in the ocean are breath taking. My favorite drive.
Beautiful driving. Enjoy watching. Great sharing. Thank you.
Awesome video of San Diego county coast line..!!!!! Love this because i'm from San Diego area, but currently stuck in Michigan : ( so this is SO Cool to be able to see this, like i'm really there..!!! Love this, and Thank you..!!!
Just watched AGAIN!! U completely calm my nerves with this! ❤ Thx U.
Mmmm California 😍. Thanks for the memories 💕
Beautiful drive thanks for sharing 💕
2:06:20 beautiful blue skies 😁
awesome. Spent 8 years living just up 08:33 Wisconsin Ave about half a mile east. Loved the area!
Thanks! Your video makes me feel like I am in California.
Браво, много е красиво.🍻🍻🍻
beautiful , nice drive my friend.
Thank you for your post, beautiful hl
Good tour!👏😄
Wonderful tour it is very cool
So California! Thanks!
Taken this drive too many times, it bugs me that you have to get on the freeway to get through Pendleton and cant continue on through the 1 😂 . Great vid!
New Subscriber men.! Love your Videos. Keep them COMING!! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💛🙏🙏💚💪💪💞👍👍💕👌👌👑👑👑
Great video!
Encinitas, and carlsbad 🤗
That's a beautiful video.
If you get the chance. Would love to see the strand and the harbor in Oceanside. If the Oceanside fish and chip is still open at the harbor, I can recommended the food is great.
It’s still there !
Just wonder a little, you live here why you watched this video :)
🤙
nice driving video.
Regular trips to SD for concerts and stops at Oceanside pier, Mission San Luis Rey, Carlsbad State Beach, La Paloma Theater, Best-A-Wan Pizza, Torrey Pines, La Jolla beach, San Diego Sports Arena. Same vibe. It really hasn't changed that much, I half expected the entire route to be lined with low-rise condos blocking the scenery everywhere.
impress with the long street near coast
Awesome!
😍🌞😎🌊😯 thank you
Wow very good
At 6:11, at right side, is the location of famous cottage scene in 1986 movie "TOP GUN" (Now reconstruction as a new resort, the original cottage has been moved around 50m away from the corner to the new resort area.) Hope can visit there to see the sunset one day.
I drove this in May of 2013 but started from Laguna Beach.
Nice state to visit
best state to live in

Awesome video! Is your camera inside or outside?
ha, how cool, i live near the 101 in carlsbad
Hi! Very Nice! What camera did you use?
Nice video. What camara do you use?
Wow There are a lot of Coconut tree..!
It’s palm trees. We don’t have coconut trees here in California.
Do a full walk on the pier, before they remove the Ruby's dinner
Are they actually removing it? The structure was there long before Ruby’s
@@kimblatnik6035 i know they closed it down but I'm not sure they're removing it. Ruby's was going bankrupt that's the reason, nothing to do with the actual building.
👏👏👏
1904 Represented.
Man, you need a stabilised camera, like Hero 8/9 or similar.
Much nicer than around Manhattan Beach. Less intense.
🤙🏼🏄🏽♂️
Love it
Where is that at the 2:45 mark 🏖
What did you use to record this?

No narrative, that would be a real plus! Scripps the place that saved my life! Viva La Jolla!
I rode the California Coast on a bicycle for a couple of decades. My typical single-day ride was the 100-plus miles from Huntington Beach to Old Town in San Diego. It is in San Diego County that I experienced what must be the very worst bicycle riders in the World. The cyclists in San Diego will often ride parallel while carrying on a conversation in automobile traffic lanes and commit unnumbered traffic violations on a regular basis such as running stop signs and even traffic lights. When driving an automobile for pleasure on the San Diego County Coast; keep an eye out for our errant cyclists who ostensibly think that they own any road that's not a freeway. SINGLE FILE ON HWY 101!
Haha, even in the 80s and 90s when I went surfing over a hundred times driving, the cyclists were arrogant and selfish and acted like they were kings.
WESTSIDE! West Coast!
Id be happy to drive on here and shoot vid.
The purple church
why did you turn back north on your pacific beach drive? viewers want to see the beach, not highway & more real estate! what happened to the wooden pier that housed the over the water motel? was it torn down?
Tell me why Angelos Burgers looks exactly like In N out?lol The color scheme and the logo 17:05 . Who wants me to make a vid comparing the two from their food to their service?
I used to wonder why old people watch these vids. Now I know. I'm now old.
*_I'VE NEVER TALKED TO ANYONE FROM CALIFORNIA BEFORE._*
Looks like he got lost in Oceanside and started going north instead of south.
cars dissapear at 1:37:32
🇺🇲🎧🇺🇲
you could make your video 100% better if you added Music..!! another 100% better if you announced where you are at, like, "now entering La Jolla", or " Now at coast HWY and Main st." etc.... because a Lot of people would like to visit exactly where this is at. so if you tell they can go there.
I like the quiet!
this is asmr not a vacation vlog
No. Don’t add sound or music or commentary. Plenty of others do that.
Video of cars, sitting at red lights, and overcast weather.
Обосраться можно !!!!
Wow...the self-entitled cyclists have really taken over.
Why the fuck do people wear masks outside? LOL!!!
Florida is better
least we don't have nasty air
