@@CPAutosAndAdventures I see , did you also have to do some work on the charcoal canister or all you did was replace the valve . Thank you and sorry for the questions
@@CPAutosAndAdventures Alright did this yesterday drove the car for about 30 miles not light on yet will update once I drive 100 miles or if it turns back on thank you for responding boss 🤝
The car was extremely rusty underneath. The exhaust bolts and tank straps were going to break if I dropped the tank. The driveshaft was giving me a hard time. RUST.
Use a cutoff wheel next time of a grinder instead of deforming the shit outta the sheet metal with those tin snips man! Would’ve been a much cleaner cut
Multiple reasons why I didn't use a cutoff wheel Sparks + gasoline = boom/ No air compressor/Could cut into the tank or vapor hose I recommend using tin snips
Much ty for the vid homie now I know where I have to cut Nd fix my probolm for my is300 2004
How was the car acting before you change the part out ?
The car ran and drove fine but the check engine light was on. This was a friends car and he couldn't pass local emissions test.
Ohh okay cuz I got that code on mine and a p0446 code
What is the part called
@@trevorlaube918 FUEL TANK OVER FILL CHECK VALVE AND GASKET part number: 77390-53010, 77177-12020
@@CPAutosAndAdventures that's the easiest way huh ?
Yo boss is this a fix for code P0446 or P0440? Mine is reading P0446
It had both codes, very common on these. Could also be from charcoal canister or gas cap.

First I replaced the charcoal canister and it did not fix it. Then I changed the overfill valve and its been good ever since.

@@team7gamingcollecting no update I’m assuming that it works?
Would code p0442 also cause this?
It might, their is many parts to the evap system.
why do those fail so much?
Why not just drop the tank and do it correctly?

Why do they put that sheet metal crap in the way on the Lexus'. They don't do that with Toyotas.
