      The car ran and drove fine but the check engine light was on. This was a friends car and he couldn't pass local emissions test.

    Yo boss is this a fix for code P0446 or P0440? Mine is reading P0446

    • @CPAutosAndAdventures
      @CPAutosAndAdventures  3 года назад +1

      It had both codes, very common on these. Could also be from charcoal canister or gas cap.

      @team7gamingcollecting 3 года назад +1

      @@CPAutosAndAdventures I see , did you also have to do some work on the charcoal canister or all you did was replace the valve . Thank you and sorry for the questions

    • @CPAutosAndAdventures
      @CPAutosAndAdventures  3 года назад +2

      First I replaced the charcoal canister and it did not fix it. Then I changed the overfill valve and its been good ever since.

    Why not just drop the tank and do it correctly?

    • @CPAutosAndAdventures
      @CPAutosAndAdventures  3 года назад +4

      The car was extremely rusty underneath. The exhaust bolts and tank straps were going to break if I dropped the tank. The driveshaft was giving me a hard time. RUST.

    Why do they put that sheet metal crap in the way on the Lexus'. They don't do that with Toyotas.

  • @jimmypage4162
    @jimmypage4162 3 года назад

    Use a cutoff wheel next time of a grinder instead of deforming the shit outta the sheet metal with those tin snips man! Would’ve been a much cleaner cut

    • @CPAutosAndAdventures
      @CPAutosAndAdventures  3 года назад +11

      Multiple reasons why I didn't use a cutoff wheel
      Sparks + gasoline = boom/
      No air compressor/Could cut into the tank or vapor hose
      I recommend using tin snips
