    I swear F1 is the only sport where so many people can be provided with evidence to the contrary and still think their team is in the right. Literally every expert and camera angle says if anything it's Vettel's fault and here we have Ferrari fanboys claiming for Lewis' head. The only thing about this sport that holds it back is the toxicity of the fans and it's a shame cause the sport is so good. -A Haas fan

      @@pedrogoldfinger I assume a technical Renault team member noticed it in parc ferme and would have reported it to the FIA as they may have felt it was unusual and may not comply with the regs. Also Renault had complained to the FIA about this and this was Renaults last chance to appeal before Singapore: this was because the FIA contacted Haas about it and they said they needed time to bring a new floor and the FIA had even warned them that if any team complained about it would be hard for them to get away with it, as even they knew it didn't comply with the technical regulations
      Haas were planning to change the floor in Singapore hoping no team would appeal but Renault quickly appealed

    • @dh-dd6cy
      @dh-dd6cy 6 лет назад +4

      Ultimately I think it came down to brilliant strategy by Mercedes as opposed to poor strategy from Ferrari. With Seb having messed up early (I am a Ferrari fan and yes I think it was Seb's fault) it really put Ferrari at a disadvantage strategy wise. It's easy to now say they should have left Kimi out a couple more laps. But it's extremely hard at that moment to know what to do. Merc played it perfectly and were rewarded for it. It breaks my heart that Kimi didn't get this win!

Either way, how could they punish Haas instead of Grosjean while still making it fair for the other teams/drivers that don't run illegal floors? If Grosjean gets to keep his points/placement in the race it's not fair for the other drivers.

    So...
    The whole paddock agrees that it was Vettels fault...He clearly understeers into Hamilton,although I have no problem with it being a racing incident tbh.
    That's what, the 4th or 5th silly mistake this year by vettel... getting exposed yet again under pressure as a guy that isn't a true 4xwdc and just a product of a great car & bum teammates.
    What excuses are people going to make for him today? What negative nonsense are people going to say about hamilton?

    Some physics. If the car is in the middle of a turn and gets hit in the middle, it will lose back grip and spin around, but in the middle of a direction change the car is going in a straight line, and since the front is lighter than the back of the car, it's the other car that will be in trouble.

      Thats exactly what Ferrari have been doing to Raikonen for years. Mercedes do it ONCE (still letting Bottas get 3rd) and all the Ferrari cheats cry about it. Their the biggest babies in the whole world of motorsport. If you cheat, you deserve to loose.

      Do you really think Bottas would have won this race if had taken an early pit??
      He played the team game and had a set of fresh tires to attack max and ultimately secured 3rd. So it's a win win situation for merc

      He didn't have the pace that Hamilton had,so what's your point?

      William Hancock, when Bottas slowed down Kimi, Kimi had basically no tyres left so Hamilton could catch up

    comparing the minimal touch between Bottas and Verstappen with the ramming of Hamilton by Vettel is beyond what I would call 'a stretch'. Bottas had plenty of room to create an extra inch of space and to expect the driver in front to measure out the width to the inch while racing is not reasonable. but Merc will be protected until RB has a WDC winning car. Until then, the FIA has been instructed to keep the Merc-Ferarri battle as close as possible for TV ratings
