Honestly a very inspiring approach to music; improvisation. It inspired nearly every video on my channel. I very much appreciate Rubber Glove as a venue & Bill Orcutt for touring this incredible music all around the world. Hoping to one day catch a show of his, or have him come out to Rhyolite, Nevada to play in Goldwell Open Air Museum’s Red Barn Arts Center.
Pretty sure this guy fathered Nels Cline, Thurston Moore and countless other amazing guitarists. Found him through a review of his latest album Music for 4 Guitars and haven't stopped listening to everything else I can find ever since!
He's actually younger than Thurston Moore by about four years (he's only 60), but I will say for certain he had a huge influence on my playing in terms of the space between notes and letting the overtones just sound.
Perfect for the Fahey, Basho, Sandy Bull lovers. I'm so loving this. Total deconstruction but it still somehow makes perfect sense.
destruction through totalism

changed my life. i can't believe i was there
this is big brain music
Bill is a visionary artist who just happens to use a guitar to extract deep emotions and thoughts from his (and your) soul
I'm so glad to see Bill finally getting his due!
I picked this at random for some background noise, and it very quickly became the center of my attention.
try Lee Ranaldo with David Watson @ Union Pool 2021 (on bag pipes)
Thanks !

This is absolutely fantastic. Does he just use four strings in this performance? If so even bigger bravo!
