I I think that's a great video I'm so impressed.. I definitely want to do that when I get my car I will be picking up the 2019 version facelift C300.. if I end up getting the car with the star that comes on it that lights up am I still able to change it to the setup that you have.... where I could change it to multicolor? Also how did you get your headlights to do that as well (demon eyes )and am I able to do it if I have the LED upgraded headlights...?... Probably not right?

How can I have something like that if I can't find it if there is such star for my car. Love to have some help with that if you can. I've changed the front grille with the crome star, all I need is that black illuminating star, can you help me with this info, I appreciate the help

The tricky part is the headlights. You need to remove them off the car and open them up to install the demon eyes in it. If you have or need help at some point message me on Instagram @raymondurias jr.

The radar is built into the emblem. Maybe you could do it but I would not recommend it

Hey there Raymond! First off you got great videos, very helpful. So I got my LED star in. I noticed the silicone inside, and my question is, can't we just fill in the crack/imperfections with more silicone instead of removing and re-doing the entire thing like in your video? You know, like place another coat on top of the original silicone to keep moisture out. Your opinion and expertise would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!
Silicone will have a very difficult time sticking to silicone. It not difficult to replace the silicone, just pull it out and make a new layer.
Thank you. I have it installed now, and I gotta say, yours in the video is significantly brighter than mine. I dunno if it's because yours is reflecting off your black star layout better than my chrome, or if the one I got is not as good quality as yours (I purchased mine before I saw this video with your links). Oh well, just glad it worked!

Ive ordered a star and the side door sills which light up....ordered all the interior led bulbs (blue) so hopefully will have them on soon just waiting for delivery.. your videos help a lot and I'm guessing it's the same process on the e class to change the bulbs

Hey, so just as I was thinking u painted the chrome part black, did u sand it down first and then painted black, im assuming flat black? Any paint recommendations? And just to make sure, u painted the original chrome led star right? Thanks for answering question! Im bout to order mine today :)
+drewski973 I sanded it down 600 grit then wet sanded 1000 grit. And they are not flat black. They are painted with Mercedes 040 gloss black. Pro paint them hanging up not laying flat and paint multiple angles.

+drewski973 my grille is gloss black and their is a paint available at Home Depot that is almost identical to 040. Rust-Oleum painters touch (Gloss Black) it's really really close to factory black.

I actually think Mercedes already has this option (in America at least). They have a video about on their USA RUclips channel, about how you can get them to fit a light up star at the dealership (when speccing a brand new car). Sky's the limit as long as you're willing to give it a try anything is possible. I have done this already with BMW logos and surprisingly a Tesla one too

How would you use the silicon to protect the normal circuit board if you don't want the changing led?
Vlad Amir remove the old silicone and upgrade it to 400° Service silicone. Just reapply it over the back of the board 😁

What brand paint did you use to paint the star black?
Single stage
But I found that home Depot carries a good black that very closely matches 040. It's called painters touch gloss black with primer

Yea the black grilles are rare...You can always have it painted or paint it yourself. I know a few people that have done that.
